Hi everyone,

Well, I have had enough of winter yet! Yikes! I actually took DD out there for a bit and it is wild weather! Now DH is snow blowing the whole neighborhood. I don’t know how to use the snow blower but I am thinking maybe I should start so I can do it while everyone is at work.
Think "Mickey Mouse thoughts".....

Hang in there everyone and stay warm!

Ahibird Yeah, yeah...whatever.....you're afraid to talk to us with all your sunshiny warm weather. aren't ya!

Hey everyone! Still here, but nothing exciting going on. We are getting our first snow of the winter. Its an icy mix..yuck! I am making brownies for my daughters Valentines party and I am just waiting for them to come out of the oven so I can go to bed. Its been a loooong day.

Hi everyone! I have been really busy. I have been having fun with my business, and my DSIS is here with her 4 girls! I'm sorry everyone is having so much cold weather and snow!:cold:

We have had weather in the 40s with some :sunny: and some rain. We can expect lots of wind and some rain from here to June. Have a great  day! Hope everyone gets lots of chocolate, flowers and

Ahibird Yeah, yeah...whatever.....you're afraid to talk to us with all your sunshiny warm weather. aren't ya!

Sorry to be MIA -- I had 3 nephews (24, 16, 12) visiting, and they've been staying in the guest room/office, so I haven't had a lot of access to the computer. They went home yesterday, and the house is slowly getting back to normal. Usually its just DH, DS(8), and me - but add three "energetic" boys to the mix - instant CHAOS :scared1: It great for DS though, getting to hang out with his cousins. It's all good. :hippie:

Yes, it continues to be sunny and warm here. (I feel like I should be apologizing... :goodvibes). Hope the weather improves for you all - hang in there and here's some more sunshiney thoughts :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

Hope everyone is having a great Valentine's Day. puckerup: Aloha -- keahi

What a cute snowmouse picture! Sorry that the weather is bitterly cold out there Debbie. I was watching a rerun of House Hunters and they were in Chicago showing different neighborhoods, but the girl was looking mostly into lofts. Anyway, they were showing parts of the city and it made me think of you and Lisa.

Hannahsmom..you didn't get any ice this last storm? We got about 2 inches of ice. DD was out of school yesterday and will be tomorrow too.

Tink...you got alot of snow too, didn't you. I know Penna. got a good amount. How about those poor folks in upstate NY?!

Tammie...Does Oregon get a lot of rain like Seattle? I've been to Seattle/Tacoma before...it's such a beautiful area. Is Oregon the same way? I've never been there. I've been to San Francisco and Seattle yet never made it to the state in between! I've heard it's really pretty. Glad you're having fun with your business.

Hello..to whoever I missed!! Hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day!

Pam

Hi everyone!
Sorry I haven't been around lately. I have been in my house most of the time but don't have much to say. I am actually getting more work done around the house. We went to the China Buffet by our house for Valentine's Day. It wasn't too crowded but there were more people there than usual. I was surprised to see that many people. Maybe they were all like us and thought that would be the least crowded type of restaurant.
Well, it's nice to hear from everyone. Sorry I don't have a lot to talk about. Hope the weather gets better for everyone. Ahibird, enjoy the weather there. You probably pay enough to live in the sunshine so you deserve it.

Pam, Oregon is like two places. On the west of the Cascade Mtns. it does rain alot - almost as much as Seattle, especially Portland and Eugene.

On the East, where we are, it is "high desert" We live in the mountains and it is pretty dry. We get colder weather - sometimes 0 - 10, and some snow, which usually melts after a few days, sometimes some rain. It can sunshine, rain, and snow all at the same time some days:goodvibes

In the Summer, we get hot dry weather with very little rain. We are really close to the CA border.
Now everyone has had their Geography lesson for today:thumbsup2

Since we are all such good planners, I thought I would tell you about our Valentines day. We went to a local Italian place, owned by some acquaintances of ours. We had 7pm reservations. When we got there, there were about 20 people waiting in their small lobby. I assumed these people didn't have reservations, but since we did, we would get right in, right????

Well, it turns out that 18 of them had reservations! They had just let everyone come in at whatever time they asked for, then seated them randomly and couldn't keep track of who got there when. People just kept coming and coming for "7pm" reservations. Then the 7:30 crowd started showing up. We waited for a table for an hour! We decided that if we left, we would face the same somewhere else. We don't have alot of restaurants to choose from. They told some people they would seat walk-ins, then after an hour, they told them that all of the people with reservations would have to be seated first! They did pour everyone some complimentary Raspberry flavored beer - can't remember what it was called, but it kept the mood light:) I was getting ready to volunteer to hostess and show them how it's done!

We had a wonderful dinner, which took an hour and a half! My DH says he doesn't want to do that again!

Have a great Friday:banana:

Hi Everyone…
I can’t believe I was away from the computer for almost 2 days! Yikes! I think that I did catch up on with you guys though. When you are thread-a-holic like me there’s a lot of pictures to go back and look at too (haven’t done that yet)!
Nothing very exciting…one day was all about the snow and the next day my cousin was over again for the day (plus DD had her Valentine’s party at school where I am the room Mom).
TinkLvr(Maureen)I could smell your brownies all the way here in Chicago!
Pam(Pbharris)We are living in a winter wonderland! At least the streets are better now and tomorrow is supposed to be warmer.
Do you guys like my weather ticker????
Lisa (DisneyOhana)We LOVE China Buffet! We have a couple by us but the best one is in Mukwonago Wisconsin where my parent's summer home is. Yummy!
HannasmammaIs there ever a chance you can get snow??? Be careful what you wish for though. Plus, we can share....
Magicfor2 I would NOT have been happy about your dinner experience! My DH has NO patience so he probably would have made us leave!
Ahibird I feel your sunshine through the internet! Thanks! Glad you’re back!
SewerThanks for checking in on me. How are you guys holding up!?
FromscratchmomGood luck with the Amazon thing. I have dabbled in the Ebay thing. I go through spurts. I always like sharing my threads. I hope you guys like them. I love looking at the pics!

Hope everyone is good…
No news is good news, right????

We're fine here, :thumbsup2 just cold, and really, really sick of snow! :sad2:

Debbie - Is that your DD w/the mouse? When you first put up a pic of the mouse I thought it was a picture you found here. That is so cute. My DD just loved it. She said "Ha Ha" and laughed. Her personality is showing more and more every day. She is repeating so many words now. It is so fun. Well, I bet you had the most original snowperson on the block. Actually, I have never seen anyone do that around here.
Pam - I love all those types of shows like Househunters. I don't watch them as much as before DD. Maybe when she is older I'll get to watch more. How far are you guys from Williamsburg? Have you ever been there? We would like to go there someday. It's funny we've been to Hawaii but besides that we haven't been to many states in the US, mainly Florida and Wisconsin, except when traveling through states. Oh I forgot about Ohio. We went to Cedar Point and Cleveland. BTW, I like your new pic in your sig.

Hi, We live about an hour from Williamsburg now and I grew up about 15 minutes from there. Bucsh Gardens, Water Country, and Great Wolfe Lodge are all there. They are a lot of fun (nothing like disney) but still a lot of fun. Great Wolfe Lodge is an indoor water park, but it gets old after a day or two. Also Kings Dominion is about 30 minutes from there. Plus you have the historic part of Williamsburg. It is really nice in the fall when the leaves are changing colors. Right now there is a lot going on because of the 400 year anniversary of the settlers at Jamestown, which is right next to Williamsburg. I think the Queen is even supposed to come. Then there are the outlet malls for lots of good bargain shopping. Let me know if you have any other questions. Jaclyn

There are lots of "chances" but then it never happens! I think it is the weather guys way of getting us to stay glued to the TV!

Quick fly by....
Hope you all are sticking with us here!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have had NO energy the last few days. WOW! Winter is just zapping the heck out of me I think. We did manage to all go sledding today though. DD loves it! DS not so much! REALLY have to decide when I want to do Disney in the fall. Either the first weeks of October or for DDs Bday around Nov. 10th? Opinions? I want to try the MVMCP but I think it doesn't start until later in November. We LOVE  MNSSP! Decisions, descisions!

I'm debating upon going to the Poly in July (love the heat.. hate the cold) because the airfair looks sooooo good! :thumbsup2 This winter is making me crazy too, it's 11:01 PM, and I just got back in the house from yet another round of shoveling snow!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all staying warm and cozy. It's pretty cold here (for VA that is). The kids had off from school on Wed, Thur, Friday, and they have off Monday for President's Day (which is DD's birthday). They even get to keep Spring Break. This year they are adding the days to the end of the year for make up days. We had a sleepover for DD's 11th birthday last night. OMG..where on earth do they get the energy from?! They had a blast though. We played a lot of games and did crafts. I am totally tired though and I have 7 loads of :laundy: to catch up on and clean up the basement where they spent the night. After that I am taking a nap. I am sooo ready to go to Disney!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Pam

Magicfor2 - Sounds like you had a crazy Valentine's Day. We used to do all that fun stuff, when we had more energy. Now we try to do something on or near Valetine's Day that we know we won't have to wait an hour.
Jaclyn - That's so cool that you live so close. I love historical towns and when you add Busch Gardens in there that would be a great family vacation. Do you think it is too much of a drive to also do Virginia Beach in the same trip? People I know from here have stopped in Philly for a day and that would be fun too. Do they have a decent amount of kiddie rides at Busch Gardens or should I just wait until our DD is older? Did you ever visit any plantation homes in Virginia? or Jamestown? I would love to do it all.
Pam - Can't wait 'til my DD has sleepovers. Okay, that was a joke, except for the fact that I can't wait until she meets more kids. Every day I debate whether or not to have another child. I don't know how it is to grow up as an only child since I have two sisters.
Sewer - I am so sick of the cold. It is getting warmer here every day though. If you get good airfare for July I would go. I loved the Poly. We will have to do some more saving if we want to go back there though. Last time we went there we only stayed two nights and we got a cheap room w/a code from a magazine. It was like staying at the castle for us. So was YC. We went when it first opened and we got a huge deal there. It was the same price as the CBR at the time. They upgraded us over the phone months before. Probably because nobody heard of it yet. That was awesome.
Debbie - I went sledding w/my sisters, my sister's fiance, and my nephews yesterday. DH watched DD. She would have wanted to leave after a couple of minutes. On the hill where we were it was so... cold. It was fun though. I am off to Woodfield soon to get a present for my nephew at the Discovery Channel store. Then I have to look at dresses for my sister's wedding.
Hope everyone has a great day!

We took dd to Bucsh when she was 3 and she had a good time, but she likes Water Country a lot better. If you had the money it would be worth staying at Great Wolfe Lodge for the indoor water park, while visiting some of the other historic sites. We live about 20 minutes from the Ocean front of Va Beach. It would take about an hour and a half to get from Williamsburg to the ocean front. I have not been to any of the historical homes since I was a kid and we went for field trips, but some friends of ours stayed at an old bed and breakfast near a winery and loved it. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I did the taxes today, and I'm going to check my math again, but the way it looks the Poly is a done deal! I'm am sooooo excited!
