Here's the funny thing - I don't get done nearly as much during the day as y'all give me credit for! :rotfl: Remember, I'm at home with NO children here. I should get a lot more done than I do. It's a very slow time at work so I don't take many calls during the day and the volume of paperwork I have right now is very low. I do a lot more procrastinating than anything!!!! And a lot of web surfing! :rolleyes1

OK, need help!!! I'm trying to plan ADRs for our trip in September. I need three restaurants. Flying Fish is already locked and loaded. That one was a must do for us! But I want to try three new places this trip.

The following are places we have already eaten:
Epcot
Coral Reef
Le Cellier
Marrakesh
Akershus
San Angel Inn

DHS
Mama Melrose

Boardwalk
Flying Fish
Big River Brewing

Resorts
Maya Grill
Boatwrights (yuck!!!!)
California Grill
Artist Point
Whispering Canyon Cafe

So here's what I'm thinking. Need your thoughts..... Chefs de France, Spoodles, Tutto Italia? Or should Biergarten be in there somewhere? Yak & Yeti? Boma?

Erin - Is your memory card all better?

Yes it is just  ok so the panic this end is now over, i am so pleased i really thought i had lost them all
So now i need to upload them all to photobucket and then i can bore you al silly with some pics :rotfl2:

Yea!:cheer2: I'm so glad for you! And, BTW, pictures from WDW are NEVER boring!

Kara - I'd love to give you some opinions about where to eat; will have to wait until I get back this afternoon though. Another crazy, busy morning and I still have a few errands to run before DD gets home. Just wanted to let you know I saw your post -- and would love to give my input!(shocking, I know!)

Where did everybody go?:confused3

It's absolutely POURING right now! YUCK! YUCK! YUCK! (And tonite's it's supposed to go down into the 30s!; figures, just had the AC in my van fixed!:headache: )

Hi all-

Renee- Yeah I've marked out all of my snacks too! DH is a real foodie and loves to try things. It is strictly out of necessity.:rotfl: Ok so I am joking just a little bit. But hey i've laid off the touring plans.

Kara glad to hear DD is critter free. I dread the day they come to my house. I don't know one mom who hasn't had to deal with those buggers.

Cammie glad to hear DDs are getting back into the routine. Isn't that the way it always goes. You finally get settled then something comes along and throws it all off.

Tammie glad to hear you are going to have another ticker! I'm trying to figure when we will go back. DH wants more summer house time at the lake. WDW isn't really is cup of tea. I am going to have really bribe him when we are there so he will fall in love with it!

Good luck cleaning Jillian! I have to do that too. I hate changing out kids clothes. DD 17mos has grown so out come the next set of clothes. At least I kept all of DDs to drag out.

Off to the Y to get the last of the workouts in. Do you think I can tighten everything ina week? :rotfl: Oh well

Laura! Your Summer house the lake sounds great! I am a Minnesota girl, too! My family is in Fergus Falls, which I think I told you before. I lived there as a small child, again in 1st and 2nd grade, and then in Hastings in 6th - 8th grade before moving out to Oregon. My favorite memories are of the time spent out at the lake with grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins! We have nothing like that here. So spend some time at the lake for me!

So here's what I'm thinking. Need your thoughts..... Chefs de France, Spoodles, Tutto Italia? Or should Biergarten be in there somewhere? Yak & Yeti? Boma?

We loved Chefs De France! French waiters (cute) and French atmosphere - the filet was delish! It was the only good coffee I had while in the world that trip, and the wine was fabulous! Sometimes it is hard to get a good glass of wine without paying $25 for it there - they sell the cheap stuff from our Grocery stores as "fine california wine." :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well, I've been you tubing for the last hour - at least I'm pretty much caught up with work. Tonight it's time to tackle the bathrooms!!!!! I still haven't packed my clothes. How soon do y'all normally pack clothes??? I know I'll end up ironing every morning anyway...... but I just hate to pack so soon.

I am now officially junk packed though. Autograph books, medicinies, hotel stuff, ziplocks, etc, etc, etc...... So that's a huge relief!

I still have a couple of loads of laundry to do to make sure that DH has enough shorts. He doesn't understand that when I say I'm done with laundry for Disney, that means that you can't wear those clothes!!!!!!!

Then sometime this week I still have to make about 12 more shirts. Why did I volunteer for this????

Cammie, I forgot to ask, are you feeling better??

Don't for get the ziplocs!!! Us Control Freaks and Worry Warts have the duty to use as many ziploc baggies for everything in our suitcase as we can!!! :goodvibes

I start packing about 2 weeks in advance, usually, or at least a week. That is because I usually don't need my Summer clothes here, so it's easy to just set them aside. Plus I always buy new undies and socks for trips :)

It's absolutely POURING right now! YUCK! YUCK! YUCK! (And tonite's it's supposed to go down into the 30s!; figures, just had the AC in my van fixed!:headache: )

Sorry about the rain - it's cold here today too. We had beautiful weather the past couple of days - ate outside yesterday - today it is freezing! Supposed to snow tomorrow! Sorry, cuz you know the weather usually goes East from here.

Hiya all -
I'm still here - just a bit overwhelmed by the number of posts on here. Had to get the hair dyed, so no update on the trippie today, but am having fun reliving it all.

Read in the paper today increased chance of Leukaemia if you dye your hair - especially if you use dark colour, then even more especially if it is a semi permanent - really worried me till I looked at the figures "properly" and realised it's yet another scare story put out by some university department to try and gain more funding for whatever pet project they have thought up. They really annoy me..... same report says if you eat cooked tomato you have less chance - so I guess I even it out..... worry will always win though...do I still get it dyed or go grey (I can't I can't I can't...I'm not old enough.... )

We're never old enough for grey hair!!!! I just got mine highlighted last week so I know the feeling!!!!

Yea!:cheer2: I'm so glad for you! And, BTW, pictures from WDW are NEVER boring!

I'm looking forward to your input, Cammie! :thumbsup2

Just got back from the store, and cashing in DD's rolled coins - she wants "paper money." :rotfl2: Came out to $24, plus I kicked in $20 so she has a big stack of $44 in singles. She'll love it when she gets home. Plus, DH and I have a terrible habit in Disney of saying, "oh let's get this for her....":rolleyes1 And we wonder why she's a spoiled brat!!! :rotfl:

I found a few more nits in her hair this morning. They are so tiny it's impossible to get them all out!!! And every morning I boil her hair brush and see a few on the bottom of the pan. Will it never end????? One more treatment on Friday, and then I can only assume that at least everything is dead so no more infestation.

I just reminded my boss that I would be gone next week and he'll have to do my job. Hope he doesn't realize how little I do these days!!!!!

BTW, does anyone know if POP has internet access???

No, no, no, Tammie! You need to push the weather FURTHER west - out to sea!

Oh poo to that study! You only live once - might as well look good while doing it! I get my hair colored AND hilighted; but I've never smoked or done drugs, so if God gets me because I color my hair, then so be it! (It makes me feel prettier!:) )

I'm looking forward to your input, Cammie! :thumbsup2

Maybe those little buggers are hanging on because they want a free trip to Disneyworld!:lmao:

I spoil my girls at Disney too. I make them take their own money, but I still buy them most things. What's sweet though, is my DD will take her sister off to some store and they'll pick out a pin for me, using her own money. It's usually a "#1 Mom" or "Best Mom" character pin - brings tears to my eyes EVERY time!

Don't know about internet access at POP; do know that the DVC resorts now have free internet, though!

one good thing about being gone for a week is if there are any of those buggers left they'll die.

I'd love to comment on the dinning but my dining choices are kind of relegated to the kids side of things. We did love biergarten though.

tammie- we would live at the lake if we could. I work on day a weekend so it has been tough to spend as much time as we want there. DDs have a load of friends and so many toys. DH has his toys there too (bass boat, jet ski, pontoon) Actually they are DFIL so that makes them so much better because I didn't have to pay for them. hahahaha. A girlfriend just moved back from OR. She said the same thing she really misses the lakes.

Cammie sorry that our curddy weather made it your way. :(

Tessa- I know this will sound morbid but we are all going to die someday, might as well have fun while we are here. A friend quotes Animal House all the time "fat, dumb and stupid is no way to go thru life" and then she adds yeah right.

I'm off to the Y to break in the sandals. People really look at you funny when you are walking on the track when you aren't wearing tennis shoes.

That is sooo sweet! You're obviously a good mother, Cammie. My dd would probably buy me the #1 Screamer pin! :rotfl2: And then DH would buy the #1 Nagger pin! :rotfl2:

Kara - Ok, here are my restaurant opinions.

Chefs de France - We're trying this for the first time in June and I'm so excited. Pictures on the food porn thread look good. Check out their menu - I'm sure you'll see something you'd like to try.

Spoodles - I don't know if I'd waste a dinner here; nothing really jumps up at me. I had mentioned earlier, their pizza is AWFUL! Again, though, I've heard their breakfast is good - maybe you should try that first to get a feel for the place?

Tutto Italia - Have never been, but liked the food at the previous Italien restaurtant - it was the service we always had a problem with. Poster on the dining thread who had lived in Italy for a few years gave the place a very good review - said food was pricey but excellent.

Biergarten - UGH! I'm not a picky eater AT ALL, but man I do not enjoy the food here at all! I've given it two tries now, the last being this past Nov., and barely ate. I enjoy the bratwurst they sell at the stand outside, but it's not part of the dinner buffet. DD hated it too - made me promised to never go back. On the bright side, the beer is excellent and they have pretzel bread!

Yak & Yeti - Never been but have read alot of negative reviews.

Boma - Never been but have read alot of great reviews!

Have you ever eaten at The Yachtsman in the Y&BClub? We're trying it in June - it looks good. There's also restaurants in the Swan & Dolphin that often get raves: Don Shula's Steakhouse and BlueZoo. As for Epcot, The Tokyo Dining is alot of fun and pretty good - they cook right in front of you. We also love Rose & Crown; we always manage to get a seat outside and stay there for Illuminations. And we've always gotten excellent service there!

Should I shut up now? Anyway, I'm a firm believer in trying everything once and forming your own opinion. I'm amazed that some of our favortie restaurants(Fulton's, San Angel) get constantly trashed on the boards, yet everyone raves about Biergarten! Different strokes for different folks, I guess!

I'm pretty sure that Chefs de France is on the agenda this time, and probably Tutto Italia. It looks good and has gotten some good reviews. I've read a lot of reviews, that's why I'm so torn!!!

San Angel is also one of our faves. As long as you don't go in expecting tex/mex fajitas, it's awesome! But we want to try all new places this time. Since I"m choosing France and Italy, I'll let DH pick the other. As for a japanese steak house, I think those are more fun with a larger group - plus, we have been to several in different places. But someday I will have to try it so I can add it to my dining wall of fame! :rotfl2:

Thank you!

Oh Lordy, guys, there's a poster on the food porn thread,"lurkyloo" whose posting pix of food from her wedding at Disney: she had her ceremony IN Epcot - Morrocco; reception at the BW; then dessert reception at back in Epcot in UK. You should check it out - she posts a link to pix in her sig.

I swore I'd never get married again - but if I could have a wedding like that ...... I think I need to go on a manhunt!

Pam thanks for the cheering for my 0.2! I have got to get with it though or else I'll never get my robe! :scared1: Our weather isn't muggy. Very nice! Have you ever been to the Galleria down in Houston?

The Y is great and the aching is a good sign. Our WW leader was talking about that last week - she said that water gets trapped in the muscle which causes the soreness and the more water you drink, the more it helps. I know that I got a similar explanation from my dr too - so drink up if you can!

I haven't been to the Galleria in Houston. We have a Galleria in Dallas that is awesome! Many of the stores are too upscale for my liking, but we like to go, and usually only go once a year on Christmas Eve Eve. We like to ice skate around the big tree and eat lunch there, then buy a couple of impulsive last minute gifts. I imagine that they are similar, the Gallerias?

I need to work on the water! I had a kidney stone a few years back that woke me up out of my sleep. You would think I'd have learned my lesson, but no.....I go in spurts, but that is great to know about the muscle thing. I haven't heard that before. Thanks, Renee!

I will never catch up on the thousands of pages that I missed from Friday night thru now. I so needed drunk posting this weekend! DH and I had a big arguement and then we had kids at our house for the rest of the weekend. We had to go buy a new washer and dryer last night because mine died this weekend. They were both dying a slow death. I can't stand spending that much money on appliances, but we got the front loading ones, and the kids are so excited! Maybe they'll do the laundry!!!:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I am off to a retirement dinner. I will be home late tonight, so I will miss at least 100 pages more.:sad2: I will talk to you all soon! :grouphug:
