Looking For Control Freaks & Worry Warts too........ Part 2

No, I've never seen photopass photogs at the character meals; think that's why they've added those photo packages to so many of the character meals. At CRT and Norway, you get a picture with a princess BEFORE you go to your table. But no photopass photogs walking through the restaurant - think of the delays that would cause!

Renee...I am a self described control freak! So if I can't control your butt over to at least the Polynesian village I will have to, well, I don't know what...............:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I have always had to pay for my ADR pix unless they were from CRT where they were actually included.

I think they just recently announced that they're including it in the price at the Norway breakfast also. Of course, the've also raised the prices for the meal. Not worth it now, IMO.

Bummer! But if you are going anyway.....then it's a bonus!

You know what I keep meaning to say...
I NEVER get emails from Disneyshopping.com. They never send me codes or anything. I always have to look them up or check the site. Kara, don't you say they send you stuff all the time?? God knows I am registered!

Cammie...Are the DDs doing better?? Settling back into things now?

I get them all the time! Just used one this weekend for 25% off plus $5 shipping; got a bunch of shirts for DDs and two bags for us to travel with.
(think the code was good through tonite - type in SUMMER; then SHIPFOR5 (I think).

I just placed an order tonight. THANKS! Like I said I had to get the codes on my own. I know my settings say to send me emails?? What's up with that?
They're doing ok - but have been dragging since they were back. Figures, I'll nurse them back to health just in time for them to go back to Dad's next weekend.
Figures!

I actually just went back and checked my Disneyshopping account and that box WASN'T checked! Crazy! We will see now (because OF COURSE I checked it now).

Good night girls! Lots of Sunday night TV to watch!

Renee - what's the matter? You don't like clowns?

I'm special, too! :rotfl2:

Sorry I missed all the fun today. I had a great day with my DDIL and DGS. DH and DS fixed stuff around their place to get it ready for renters. Then we relaxed - the weather was beautiful - took the baby for a walk. Went to Red Lobster for dinner and came home. :cloud9:

Debbie, loved the link to the MK opening. I couldn't open any of the others for some reason. Your description of listening to MK from your balcony at GF sounds heavenly! I WILL have to stay there some time!

Thanks Cammie, for the BW pics! We are hoping to stay there next March!!! Now Debbie, it wasn't Cammie that convinced us, but the pics were a bonus! :worship: DH suggested it, cuz he wants to be able to walk to Epcot and ESPN and DHS and Beaches and Cream!!! He just thought it would be fun to be near the action this time.

I made a new Ressie today - 3RD Ticker!!!

Just DH and I next time - during our Spring Break here, but not everywhere else. March 22 - 29. I made a ressie for SSR for Mar 22-27 - I'm hoping to change it to BWV at the 7mo mark - preferred view. The CM said preferred shouldn't be a problem for that time. Then we have SOG for the last two days. Just had to make it a whole week to get enough relaxation in.

We spent our drive thinking of things we haven't done before but might want to, and where we might want to eat. And then there are some that just have to be done again:

Ohana - repeat
Kona Kafe - breakfast
Yak & Yehti
Spoodles or Flying Fish ?
ESPN
Citrico's?
Narcosee's?
Liberty Tree Tavern?
Brown Derby - repeat or Hollywood & Vine?
Marrakesh?
Adventure Club and Comedy Warehouse!
Richard Petty Driving for DH or
Braves spring training game
Drive to Celebration and check it out?

Any thoughts?

Yes, it's included now but we made our ADR before they announced it, think we'll get the old price or new? We like it better than CRT because it's..... in Epcot!!!!

Yup, I get at least 2 every week!

Yea!!!! Another ticker! Never eaten at Spoodles but Flying Fish is our fave in all of WDW! Also, loved Marrakesh! We don't like doing buffets so that knocks a couple out of our list. We almost did O'hana this time and I kinda wish we did. But we're trying Garden Grill (DD just adores Chip n Dale and my nephew loves Mickey so everyone should be happy!).

I think I've got DD's hair all taken care of - what a pain this weekend was! At least twice a day I did a "nit check." She is affectionately my little Nit Wit now!!!!!! :rotfl2: Hey, if you can't laugh in the face of lice..... well, whatever!

Off to work now. Happy MOnday!

Good morning! Wish I could say Happy Monday but - YUCK! Another cold, rainy day and it's the first day back from spring break for us. We were all dragging at 6am this morning!:scared:

Kara - Glad to hear DD is over her "littly buggy" problem - with time to spare before your trip. Re: the Norway breakfast. I bet you'll be charged the new package price. We like the Norway meals for the princesses better too. CRT is just soooo expensive and not worth it, IMO. I find the breakfast at Norway tolerable; have never tried another meal there, but it's at least cheaper than CRT.

Tammie - WooHoo - another BW convert!:woohoo:

DD & I were talking also about trying other restaurants. We have our "must-dos" every year (LeCellier, San Angel, Fulton's) but am now on a mission to seriously try other places. We often overlook a lot of the restaurants at the resorts, so I'm hoping to fix that. The new ones we're trying in June are: Artist Point; Chefs de France; Raglan Road; & The Yachtsman.

Now, my opinions about the ones you listed:
- Have never eaten at Ohana, Kona, Narcoosee's, Citricos
- Would love to try Yak & Yeti; not getting the best review though (I know - shouldn't listen to what others think; need to try for yourself!)
- Spoodles - have had their take-out pizza (horrible! but I have high standards - coming from NJ!) I hear their breakfast is really good!
- Flying Fish - haven't eaten there in a few years, but agree w/Kara - YUMMY! And I love the decor in there!
- ESPN Club - pretty good; typical bar food; don't know if I would go out of my way to eat there; good to stop in for a drink, though.
- Brown Derby - I've given this place two tries now and have not liked it both times. For the price, I didn't think it was worth it; nice atmosphere though.
H&V - my kids love this place; I find it tolerable.
LTT - another fave of the girls; have just had dinner there and I find it basic but tasty!
Marakesh - another rest. we haven't been to in a few years; would love to try again soon. I enjoyed it the first time, DD didn't; she was younger & pickier then though
The Adventurer's Club - I was seriously thinking of stopping in there with DD during this trip. Hear the show is "colorful" but still PG. It's supposed to be a hoot though!

Just my two cents!;)

Well, back to the routine: off to the gym in a little while. Will check back in later!

Wishing I was here this morning (either walking or on the Friendship boat to DHS):cloud9:

Yes, I told you all I was going to overwhelm you with BW photos!

Cammie - love the BW photos!!!! DH and I are so excited to try Yacht Club in September (although seeing BW across the lake will tug at the heartstrings a bit, too!).

I've been reading great things about Raglan Road - we almost tried it this trip, but went with Garden Grill instead for the characters. We have done the Akershus lunch (but we actually ate there for dinner 10 years ago before it was a character meal - weird food then!). It's typical lunchy type food. Nothing to brag about, but also much cheaper than CRT, like you said. And only one TS credit, too.

My neighbor on one side killed a snake in his driveway yesterday, then just found out that a neighbor on the other side has a family of black snakes in her backyard!!! :scared1: We're surrounded!!!

DH is starting to cook up some of the fish he caught last weekend. We have about 15 lbs frozen in ice. So Saturday night we found a Bobby Flay recipe for fish tacos - I'm in love with fish tacos!!!!! Then last night he grilled and we had on salads. Trying to eat a bit lighter these days....

Cammie - sorry about your nasty weather - glad the girls are back in the swing of things....

Tammie - a BW convert??? Love it!

Debbie - you know we're just kidding! We love all your GF photos!

To everyone else, good morning!!!

Oh, and our itinerary? It's locked and loaded and laminated so there ain't no changing now!!!! :rotfl2:

Tammie - you sound like the coolest Grandmother/Mother in Law. Want to adopt a child :rolleyes1 But seriously, good for you for having fun with DMIL and DGS! You rock! And congrats on the new ticker. I'm no help with my limited experience, but I did hear a lot of complaints that Yak & Yeti wasn't that good, but I think if you aren't a fan of Flame Tree, it prob wouldn't be bad to give it a try!

Cammie - I LOVE the pics. I am going to give DH a week, and then try to start talking to him about Disney next year. He practically lost it on me "NO MORE TRIPS" :rotfl2: Then I reminded him all but my CKU were his ideas! :rotfl: Once he calms down in a week, right before Mothers Day, I'll bring it up again. He loves "ideas" that get him out of gifts! :rolleyes1 Good tips to know about CRT not being worth it - but would you do it once? DD is already princess crazy. I just thought that would be a big deal to a little one -eating in the castle :confused3

Kara - not longer to go. Glad DD hair is debugged! :lmao: I dread dealing with that when the time comes. Not much longer to your Main Street Stroll!
:cool1:

Jillian & Pam - HI!

Laura - Have you made ADRs for your snacks yet? :lmao:

Debbie - I laughed over that "control your but to the Poly" comment! Too funny, girl!

GFATP - Hope you are enjoying being back home - and I can't wait to see pics Erin!

Beautiful cold day here - and Cold is 60 :lmao:. Today I have to go birthday shopping for 5 people! :scared1: Isn't that nuts. Popular week I guess! I think we are giving in and getting DS a scooter. I need to do it today while he is in school. We're also going to allow him a power ranger or two with no battle gear. I think they have a couple jungle ones that transform into animals. He can have two of those, which he has been begging for. That is it though, no Power Ranger Shows. We're also going to allow him to watch American Dragon & Lilo and Stitch. Loosen up a bit I guess.

Off to get our day going - have a good one everyone!

Actually, Akershus is very castle like inside. I love the atmosphere. Considering it was one TS versus two for CRT, plus ours was a last minute trip 2 years ago, with only a month to make the ADR, it's all we could get. But we're doing it again this trip, even though I made all my ADRs at the 180 day point. I just couldn't justify the price difference for CRT. And, since we're doing BBB.... which btw, DD is actually getting excited about!!! :cool1:

Yes, I still feel like a "louse" of a mother :rotfl2: but I know it's almost a rite of passage for kids. It's just so gross!! I swear my child bathes EVERY day!!!! :rotfl2:

Laura - Have you made ADRs for your snacks yet? :lmao:

OH, yea, Renee, you're a fine one to talk!!! :rotfl2:

Call me crazy, but I actually got a kick out of watching Power Rangers with DD - she was so excited to meet Pink Ranger last trip. I tried to get her to do Halloween as Pink Ranger, but no go - it was princess for the 4th year in a row!!!!

Off to get our day going - have a good one everyone!

Work is crazy busy today! Probably because my time was very limited on Friday so I'm playing catch up - so why am I playing on the DIS??? :confused3

Later....
