I'm gonna pick DD up from the bus stop - she'll be so surprised! Then we have haircuts tonight (I need to get these roots done bad!!!) so probably no joy riding until tomorrow (unless my stylist can get us out quickly!). DD won't even want to get her hair cut tonight when she sees the golf cart though. I'm fighting with her as it is to go a little shorter. She used to have a chin length bob that was soooo cute, then it got long and stringy. So she agreed to cut it to her shoulders and it does look better, but I'm working on another inch or two!

I just found Park Hopper radio on Live365 - no, still not a VIP....yet! Can't justify $70 for the year! I may do the 3 month subscription though.....

Ok - I think we're all on the same schedule. I just had my roots done on Tuesday - soooo needed it! I have the same issues with my DD's hair. All the girls wear their hair the same way now - long, straight, parted on the side. And god forbid if DD actually blow-dried her hair - no way! So it dries by itself and is so limp and lifeless. I talk her into a should-lenght cut last fall; I loved it - she hated it! Now she's back to growing it long and straight again!

But, you save money in the long run with the year subscription!

Yeah, I know, but $70 for music? And when we tried to run it through Tivo (which btw is all hooked up and already set up a season pass for Lost and the Office!!!) it said we needed to be VIP members. DH looked at me and said, "No." So the only reason I'd do it is so we could run it through Tivo and he'd be ticked. Although..... I could do the free trial period and then go ahead and pay for it. He'd never know the difference if I told him there was a free trial.... Hmm, sneaky!

The sale starts at 7 am. There are 3 teenagers. Each of them has their own "start time". One will start at 10am. The other two it is noon. :confused3 The big problem is I want to sell a lot of toys from DS. Let's just say that will be quite a scene if he finds out what is going on...

Don't get me started on teenagers!:rolleyes1

That is why I tell DH that we are going to be a lot of help to our kids when they get older. I want to be one of those grandmas who takes the whole family fun places, and keeps the grandkids in their room so the kids can do fun stuff on their own. That's important. Can't wait! :goodvibes Well, can't wait for that or to retire on the beach some place with DH. :goodvibes

I am totally w/you on that one! We are very fortunate to have both sets of parents, and ones that have been and are willing to keep the girls for us. We have NEVER had a different babysitter than grandparents. MIL is the more willing one, but I do understand, since Mom works full time. Oh, to retire...I don't want to be old though! Early retirement is my goal!!

Pam, I love being able to take off whenever I want. It is so worth it to work for myself!

Rub it in! If I only had skills...

Okay, nighty-night! I might actually get to post on Friday night - although it might be date night - we'll see. What goes with coconut rum?

ANYTHING as far as I'm concerned!!

Friday night we are revising our itinerary, I think. I should be around for drunk posting but I may be "distracted." Darn husbands trying to take our time! :rotfl2:

The nerve of them! They can be quite the babies, IMO!

But 15 shirts for 6 nights??? I've got issues.

OK, off to work.

WE weren't the ones that said that! :rotfl2: JK! I think we all have issues!

Youngest DD and I are going to head to the Crocs outlet store. I think I am going to pick up a pair for all of us. Still really torn about the shoes for WDW. I am going to have my own suitcase just for shoes. :rotfl:

Crocs all the way! I only brought 2 pairs of shoes to WDW in Nov, tennies and Crocs. I wore tennies the first day in the parks, and Crocs the second, and every day after! They were more comfie than my tennies. My dad did the same thing, in fact, I think that's what everyone ended up doing, at least the adults. I just have the original Crocs and even wear them w/socks - even my fuzzy slipper socks in the winter. I am more and more going for comfortable shoes in my old age! 5 or more years ago I would be bringing a pair of shoes for each outfit. Not anymore!

OMG! DD's teacher just called me - she's in trouble at school for not listening to a teacher in the cafeteria!!! She completely ignored this teacher and was talking loudly. The teacher told her to move her seat and she ignored her!!! The teacher had to pick up her tray and physically move her. What is up with that???? I just talked to DD and she was crying - yeah, cause she knows she's in deep doo doo when she gets home! How embarassing to have the school call me like that!!! I'm a terrible mother!

Kara you are sooooooo NOT a terrible mother - a terrible mother wouldn't give a whatever...... and would just blame the school !! She's probably just testing boundaries.... Calm - peace and tranquillity.....:goodvibes my kids really freak when I DON'T shout at them - they know they've REALLY messed up then.

OK, I see how y'all are! It gets nice in your neck of the woods and you just leave me hanging here! I'm all cooped up inside to stay out of the sweltering Florida heat (well, not yet!) and everyone else is outside playing! :rotfl2:

You are NOT a terrible mother! I totally agree w/Tessa. You care! Don't be hard on yourself. I think all kids go thru these kind of stages!

Kara - I like your new plan. We always do Downtown Disney on our first night there. It just sets the stage for the rest of the trip for us. We don't do a park on our first day though...I bet you are besides yourself w/excitement! You can threaten DD that you will not take her to WDW if she doesn't behave!:scared1:

I think shout is my middle name! My girls definitely think something is wrong if I don't shout!

 I am doing the happy dance! I have two trip tickers!! My sister and I are going for a weekend trip to New Orleans at the beginning of June! I am so excited!

Yea! Pam has 2 tickers!!! :cool1: Never been to Nawlins :rotfl: but really want to go someday!

How funny! We always do DTD on our first night too! This was going to be the first time NOT doing it, so DH and I were trying to find a way to sneak it in there!

Kara - I like option 1 best; you seem to be spending more time at the park you're visiting on each day. With option 2, you seem to be doing alot of running around; your plans could easily get screwed up by one over-crowded or delayed bus.

Plus, I know you're an Epcot fan and trust me, I see nothing wrong with this, but you do see, in option2, that you're at Epcot three days in a row. How will the rest of the family feel about that?

Okay, let me respond to some things first, and then I will come back to your plan Kara...

Shoes (Laura/Kara) I took Cayman Crocs and my tennis shoes. I had that whole tendon issue going, so I stayed in the tennis shoes the whole trip, but if you plan to do water rides and use the misting fountants, I think that crocs would be best. I LAUGHED that Kara was taking 3 pairs - why would you need 3 pairs of crocks Kara? I have a lot, but I can get by with one... :)

Kara - Congrats on the cart. How much fun. And DD - you know that was just probably something she was doing to show out to friends. I know it isn't ideal, but the fact she was crying shows YOU ARE A GOOD MOM WHO TAUGHT HER BETTER! I say go to the bus stop with the cart and make her walk. :rotfl2: Okay, that is a little cruel!

Erin - Hope you are doing good. Being without your kids is tough! I hope the time passes quickly for you! I can't wait to see pictures.

The Alice dress sounds so lovely, and I'm so happy that DD got special treatment for the day!

Cammie - DH needs a good a## chewing for that one. That is just unacceptable. TELL HIM my best friend in College died in a car accident going 30 mph. It can happen any time. You never know. She was a finatic about the seatbelt and just ran 1 mile down the road to the store. She actually forgot to put it on. I would REALLY tell him that should never have happened and better never happen. I'm glad you got to catch up with YDD. :woohoo: Sounds like a fun time.

Drunk posting friday night - I'm in!

Pam - I was going to tell you something, and now I've forgot... :lmao:

Laura - I found neutrogena spray sun block 70! That is what the ped recommends for the kids. They have hypersensative skin and it is the suppose to be the best brands for kids in general. FYI.

Hi Debbie, Tessa, and Tammie!

I think we're at Epcot so much because of ADRs, well, and the fact that we love it! And we're gonna use that Disney Visa Meet n Greet each time we're there for free pics!!! And actually, we're there 4 out of 7 days and if we have our way, we'll sneak over there on Saturday before we leave, too!

Okay, let me respond to some things first, and then I will come back to your plan Kara...

Hello!!! Color coordination!!!!! :rotfl2:

Wish I had thought of that!!!! :rotfl2: But I still met her and our neighbor boy there anyway. After all, it's my toy, too and I wanted to play with it!!

I met the owner of Banana Boat once and he told me that once you hit SPF 15 that is as high as you can go. Then I just recently read that SPF 30 is the max. The rest is just hoopla?

Hi Debbie, Tessa, and Tammie!

Well, DD is home and she's upstairs, no TV, no video games, no computer. She's to clean her room and playroom SPOTLESS!!! Or else! I hate this because she is really a good kid, just doing a bad thing today I guess. :confused3

Kara - I had heard that also about the sunscreen - after Spf 30 - it's all the same.

On a side note, and I may be dense for asking this, but who is in charge of placing the ads that appear on the top and bottom of our pages? Did you notice the ad on top of this page - "Are you the world's best mom?" Kara - you had just asked in your post if you were a bad mom (which you're not, btw). The other day, we were talking about Tevas, and their was an ad for some website that sold Tevas. And last week, when Debbie introduced us to her new smileys, there was an ad for a website w/free downloaded smileys. Who's doing that?

Hi Girls...
Back from the field trip to the zoo. Lot's of fun. Great weather. Tired Mommy! Now rain is on the way for the first time all week. It's been WONDERFUL!

I just found Park Hopper radio on Live365 - no, still not a VIP....yet! Can't justify $70 for the year! I may do the 3 month subscription though.....

I just looked at my bill and I don't know what I did when but I have only paid 23.85 so far............and feel like I haven't paid since??? Not sure what kind of a free trial I got. Just do the free trial and if it's not worth it later on than cancel before they charge you!

Yeah, I know, but $70 for music? And when we tried to run it through Tivo (which btw is all hooked up and already set up a season pass for Lost and the Office!!!) it said we needed to be VIP members. That is EXACTLY what I would do.

:thumbsup2

OMG This will be me in 2 years!

What she said!

OK, I see how y'all are! It gets nice in your neck of the woods and you just leave me hanging here! I'm all cooped up inside to stay out of the sweltering Florida heat (well, not yet!) and everyone else is outside playing!

You definitely got my number!

I'll be back later! I forgot to take my Allegra D this morning before the zoo and now I feel like it's 10PM at night! Weird. I am crabby! Plus my "friend" will be visiting any minute now and I am feeling all that comes along with that! Should've figured since my nerves are cashed lately and I am feeling more tired!

Oh and Kara...in regards to your plans I really am not good at telling people where to go when. We actually don't map out too much besides the ADRs and what park will be for what day in regrads to those ADR's other than that each night we talk over the next days agenda (time to get moving, where we are using our CS, etc).
