Just back from the DR's office. DD5 has an ear infection - yes that's right ear infection and we leave tomorrow!! Perfect timing!! I'm off to Walgreens to get Zythromax RX and some last minute things.

Okay all I can say is when it comes to my sewing the iron is my friend!! Even though I have enough burns on my arms I could play dot to dot on it. I use to have to iron 2 hours every Sunday night for my folks instead of paying rent - before we were married - so me and the iron, we have a relationship..

I'm sooooo sorry to hear about DD! Hope the trips goes well and she gets to feeling better soon! Have a wonderful trip!!!! Funny story about your "relationship" with your iron!

TGIF everybody!

So glad the end of the week is here - it's been a crazy one. Girls are leaving tonight to go away with Dad and his new wifey. I'm still looking for a little something to tuck away in their suitcases; I've bought cards already but want to also include a treat. I'm waaay over-thinking this! I'm sure I'll be franatically running throughout the mall this afternoon trying to find something perfect!

Did you see those little Hershey nuggets I made??? They are a piece of cake to make, just pring out the patterns and glue on! BTW, does this mean you'll be here tonight for drunk posting???

Tina - Have a wonderful trip! Hope your DD feels better and the ear infection doesn't slow her down.

Kara - How's your daughter feeling today? Did she last the whole day in school. Hope she's on the road to recovery. Keeping my fingers crossed about the sale of your house. What happened?

She lasted just fine! Yea! Checkup today for her 7 year so we'll have dr take a look while she's there.

Laura - Make-up story was so cute. Gosh, I remember those days - my DD LOVED those Disney Princess makeup kits they used to sell. She'd do her whole face up and actually, never looked too bad. Went a little heavy on the eye shadow for my liking, but I think she puts lipstick on better than I do!

Pam - You MUST join us for drunk posting on a weekend night. If you think we're chatty during the day, you should see how many posts we tear through during one of those!

Debbie - Do you live in the area of Illinois that felt the earthquake last night? Hope not, but if so, hope all is well. The news is reporting no injuries, but that must have been scary to feel!

I'll report back in later with the results of my shopping frenzy. Honestly, my girls would be thrilled with a new lip gloss, but of course, I have to always go overboard. Why do I make myself crazy like this?

OK, looks like the house is sold. The offer was $15K off our asking price, $30K off the original asking price, and I've asked our realtor to drop the commission from 6% to 4% to help. The buyers don't have an agent, so since the selling agency wasn't going to get buy 3% if they did have their own agent.... My agent had already gotten permission to drop to 5% before he even called me with the offer. He's so good!!! And the buyers have no stipulations, no closing costs, no extras! And DH's company offered to kick in $4K to help cover some costs (not much but every bit helps!). I'll hear back this morning if our counter was accepted and then we're done! But it's not inked yet, so we'll see....

DH found a golf cart - I told him to buy it today and put it on our Disney Visa and that's more Disney Reward money to spend in a couple of weeks!!! We were gonna have to have one painted to match the carts on our course, and this one is already the right color! The guy who called DH about it knows our golf pro and said it's ready to go! I'll kill him if he doesn't jump on this deal!!!! It's the 4 seater with the golf bag attachment, again that's an accessorie we were going to have to add ourselves. This is too good to pass up!

Kara - Quick question (which I think you may answered before, but I can't find the answer).

I'm looking to stay busy this weekend with the girls being gone, so I may TRY to get creative. If I print off some of the t-shirt designs off the creative boards, what is the type of paper I want to print them on? I think you mentioned that they make "iron-on" paper that I can put in the printer? Do you get that at a store like Staples or an arts&crafts store?

Yes, you can go to either Staples or AC Moore type stores. Get the iron on transfer paper. Are you using white shirts or colored? If white, make sure you get the paper for white/light fabric and if you're using colored shirts, make sure you get the paper for dark fabric. I much prefer the ease of the ones for light fabric so I've done all our shirts in white. Also, if you go to AC Moore type store, look for June Tailor brand. That has been my favorite to work with so far. And I've used a lot of different brands!!!! PM me if you have any questions - I'll be around all day today!

Oh, Cammie, also remember if the design has any wording on it, you need to "flip" it before you print it so that it prints backwards, that way it will be the right way when you iron it on.... Just follow the directions on the paper package, they are all different......

There's a phone number on your cc bill for Disney rewards - usually located right by the chart that list your reward dollars. But, I hate to tell you, if you do not already have a rewards card that is not expired - they'll have to send you a new one with your rewards on it. Not sure how quickly they get those out. Since you're leaving soon, I would call today.

Congrats on the house! And thanks for the help with iron ons. I may just play around first. And, I may be up for drunk posting tonite. The ex won't be picking up the girls until around 8-8:30pm, so I wouldn't get on until after 9pm. I'll certainly be needing a cocktail and my Dis buddies after the girls leave!

You guys are putting me to shame with the home made shirts and litle trinkets. Kara, where did you find the pattern for the mints? I love the idea of passing them out to people who did a great job.

Go to the Creative DISigns board and find the thread titled Disney Nuggets (or something to that effect). If you can't find it, let me know and I'll send it to you. I had to resize them when I printed them out. I just printed on 3x5 index cards and cut out so they were a little more stable than just using regular paper. There is such cute stuff on that board!

ya know I work in customer service. Hertz has to have some of the worst reps I have ever talked with. She would not allow me to escalate until I started to demand it. Even then I only was told that I would get a call back by the end of business today. I am going to give them 2 hours and then if I don't hear something I'm calling back and starting over. AGHHHH.

Well, we are the proud owners of a golf cart!!!!!! They are installing headlights and then will hopefully deliver soon! DD is going to be so excited - almost as much as me!

My DD would be so jealious. I keep trying to talk my parents into getting one for the resort community where they have their travel trailer. It's just a really long hike to the lake and golf cart would make it so much easier.

We will have to see pictures once it is all decked out.

Hiya all we're back!!!

I am going to take a look at all the chat later - 10 days and HOW MANY pages!!!!

We loved Florida!! Here's a quick jet-lagged synopsis

Best bit - pirates and princess party - especially the fireworks -WOW -and being able to walk on EVERY ride!!! Big thunder mountain in the dark 3 times in a row....

Worst bit - remember me saying it might snow here and affect our travel plans- our flight got CANCELLED!!!!!! We spent 7 hours in a very crowded departure lounge sitting ON THE FLOOR!! to then be told we would not fly till next day, we were given food vouchers, coached off to a hotel(an hour away) for the night , given more food, then coached back, more food, then did fly next day at midday..... much British stiff upper lip and resolve was shown that day..... anyhows.....

Another best bit - the parks were NOT busy!!! the queues (ok - lines )were SHORT pretty much everywhere - using fastpasses and express at universal meant not many waits at all, never in line for more than 15 min all trip. Longest wait was 20min for the shamu show, and that was sitting in the shade in a stadium, so no hardship there.

Another best bit (can you see we enjoyed ourselves... when we got there...) the villa was fantastic, sooooo much space - we paid for pool heating -it was like getting into a bath under the stars and the moon - is it just me or is the sky BIGGER in Florida??

Still up there on cloud nine - the kids just slept for 17 hours!!!!! Jet lag is kicking in, but not too bad right now. Going to go and eat - body thinks lunch but it needs dinner....

By the way I LOST 4 pounds ON HOLIDAY!!!! with ice-cream, fries, shredded pork YUMMMMMM (yep and even dole whip -I tried and loved it!!!) - all that walking I guess.

Will get back online in a couple of days -post jetlag, post unpacking....

Alright Soontobewed - you got me over here!! We leave for Disney tomorrow night and I am so excited. I now have a Giselle dress, a Cinderella dress, Ariel dress and a Holiday Belle dress all hand made by me!! Broke my sewing machine during Ariel so DH was kind enough to get me a new one. Of course that means no more actual presents for me until 2022. The girls are so excited. I love the fact that they dont' know that the dresses are for the PP...they think it's for a dinner at 1900 Park fare - so exciting!



Where do I live in MA - I live in Attleboro - born and raised and haven't been able to get out!

Sorry I have been busy getting blood drawn etc.. also DH is home until Friday so he has been taking up alot of time getting errands done. You need to start selling those dresses on Ebay. If I had a little girl I would snatch one up. I am not one to make anything on the sewing machine even though I have one.

Kara- A golf cart that's Florida living for you. My DH said if we move
"down south" it would be a must have. How is the room turning out?
