Well - girls are off with their dad for the weekend. I don't have plans until tomorrow nite: going with some friends to the premium cinema to watch Mr. George Clooney in Leatherheads. He is soooo dreamy!

So I'm home on this rainy Friday night; I've mixed my traditional TGIF happy hour cocktail - the cosmopolitan; cut up my favorite simple snack - cheese, pepperoni & crackers (I could LIVE on cheese & crackers!) -- where are you girls?

And there was a shoe discussion too... I am taking sneakers, which I have no issue with, I mean my feet are a size 9 and look like boats no matter what is on them - so whatever. I have lived in crocs for the past year. I have like 5 pairs. LOVE them. I have heard so many wear sneakers that I thought I would take them and try. Watch me get a blister from them! No moleskin for me. I have an adhesive allergy.


I took DS to the dr today. He was all cranky. The dr said he had an amazingly nasty ear infection. Of course he does. DS has only had one other ear infection in his life - and it was one week before he flew! SO it was so bad the dr was going to recommend not flying (he thought we were leaving tomorrow) but gave him a script for a really heavy antibiotic and we are going to check it again Thurs to be sure. He never complained once about it, and that SHOCKED the dr.

Now I am thinking of renting a fridge. I will have meds to deal with for 1 1/2 days. I COULD ice them down in the bucket I guess. I hate to mess around with my reservation at this point. I get all worried they will screw up my requests.

I have got to print our dinner invites and some nice little Lightning things for DS. I am also planning on packing tonight as much as I can. Mom has DS for the evening, so with just 1 kid that feels like freedom! ha ha.

Hey Renee - Sorry about your DS's ear infection. Look on the bright side - better that he got it now, then getting it a week from now. As for renting the fridge - I'm just wondering -- you might want to mention you need a fridge to store medication - maybe you won't be charged. I have no experience at Disney with this because we stay at DVC; but I know when I travel other places, I mention I need a fridge to store my daughter's medication and I'm never charged. Would be worth a try.

As far as doing anything good with my weekend - plan on hitting the gym since I missed a few days because I was home with sick kids; then the dinner and movie on Saturday. It's hard sometimes though. All of my good friends are married with families - it's really hard sometimes for them to get away for a night of fun with me. This is what stinks about being divorced and in your 40s - you have no single friends left and just don't have the energy to make new friends! (with the exception, of course, of my DIS buddies!)

Hi Cammie! I am back from Swimming at the YMCA and Costco for dinner (where else can you feed a family for around $5.00!). I am POOPED!! I have a chlorine headache too.

Cammie - first of all, enjoy your "ME" time, or in case "YOU" time! I would love to be hanging by myself right now, eating cheese and crackers and sipping a cosmo. Am I horrible to think that??? Instead, I'm listening to DH and DD argue about Nintendo while I wait for DH to finish dinner on the grill. Now I am sipping my drink - my own XFusion concoction! Ready? 1 part XFusion, 1 part peach schnapps, 1 part coconut rum, heavy splash of V8 Fusion light (peach mango). See? I'm getting my fruit juice which is on my Jenny Craig plan!!!

I keep telling my family I am going to leave on a Saturday morning, drive a couple hours away (ALONE) and check into a little beach front B&B (ALONE), and stay the night. I will hang at the beach (ALONE) reading books (ALONE), going out to dinner and a couple of drinks (ALONE), then retire as early or as late as I want (ALONE), then return home to my loving family the next day.

OK, I've got the Live365 playing the Mouseworld Radio, I've been talking all evening about DVC, and DH is telling me I'd better not set up a tour next month (even though he's laughing, which means he's totally UP for a tour!). I'm working it really hard right now!!!!

However, the DVC is cutting into our golf cart plans. They are more than we budgeted when we moved down. Our neighbor just got one..... so now DH has golf cart envy! But our house is 2 miles from the pool so it would actually be worth it with gas prices what they are!!!!! Plus, it will save us money when we golf, if we get the bag attachments for the back....

I just want way more than I can afford, that's my problem!!! Oh, wait, that's what makes us Americans, right??? Needles to say, DH is now scouring ebay for a golf cart available for pickup. Since he works in the auto auction business, he doesn't believe in buying ANY vehicle new!

Renee - so sorry to hear about DS's ears - but Cammie is right. Better now than next week! I'm sure he'll be fine once he gets the antibiotics in him.... Only 8 days now!!!!

OK, DH just piped in, "hey I know that music, it's from Space Mountain." And he's right!!!! Oh, I've got him right where I want him... hahahahahahaha (evil laugh!).

So, it's 7pm EDT now, so if you're here in a couple of hours, I may just be here, too!!!! Although DH did just pout that I spend more time with my DIS buddies than with him. And I need him on my side.....

A. - Love the sounds of this drink! Will have to try that!
B. - Would love to drive off like that; just not warm enough to go anywhere worthwhile right now. Also, it looks like, for that week in April that the girls go away, I'll just probably be in NJ visiting family. Should be able to get out for a girls' night with my sister or SIL - but nothing too exciting. At least, I'll get out of the house!

Listening to Mo Rockin on WorldMouse Radio! Debbie - is there a way to get a preview of songs that are coming up? When I click on a station, it always lists three songs, but the song playing is always the third song on the list; the other two are the songs I missed. Who cares about those? I want a preview of what's coming up next!

Kara- I did your trick with the printer for the mickey heads - printed on 3x5. Also did 4x6; they both look good. Thanks again for doing that. I think the color looks just fine. I don't think I'll mess with it.

Actually, I didn't do anything, I just PM'd the gal on the Creative Disigns thread that did mine, and begged her to do one for everyone here! I'm just bummed that I don't think I got Erin and Tessa theirs in time. Oh, well.... At least Erin will have hers for DLP later this summer!

I just bought a big 32 oz water bottle from our clubhouse - hoping it will fit into my Overland Donner bag. I know the 16 oz bottle I have with the changeout freezer stick does fit. I think I'm gonna try the Donner bag around town for awhile and see how I like it.....

Yea, Debbie! And it looks like you're warmer than Cammie (sorry!) for a change! And clear, too! I eat a lot of hot dogs but I do the fat free on light bread (instead of a bun) and it's like 1/3 the calories of a regular dog on a bun!!!!!
