Just stopping in real quick - DD and I painted the one wall downstairs and I don't like this color either!!!! I was sure this was the one so I bought a whole gallon, instead of the quarts we've done up to this point to test the color. I'm soooo mad! This is 3 colors now and still can't find the right one.

So I went upstairs and cleaned up the Disney room so I can start painting. I think I'm gonna paint 2-3 walls today and hopefully get two coats on there. Then I can move the furniture back so I can do the rest this week. I'm so excited to get this room done! But now I'm not gonna get my sunday afternoon snooze, and I do love my Sunday naps!

I painted my living room 8 colors before I finally settled on the right beige. DH laughed at me because he couldn't tell the differences in them. but I could. Long day at work.....

DH took the kids by my in-laws so I have had a nice break and have been cleaning non-stop (plus laundry).

I won’t stay long since they still are out and I need to REALLY use the time wisely. I am NEVER without both kids…it’s very rare.

Live 365 is on the great room TV and I am going through HUGE piles of paper work (i.e. bills, junk mail, letters from school, receipts, crap, etc).

That's what I do too, so even though it may look like I'm on, well, okay, I probably am!

I love the color of the Disney room! It's called Silver Streak and I thought it was gonna be too grey, but I'm glad I took a chance because it is perfect. Anything more blue would have looked like it belonged in a nursery. I got 2 coats done on the 1 long wally, plus the little alcove by the door, so I have three small walls to do this week.

I'll check back in later... DH is on his way home from his deep sea adventure. He called and said he caught a dolphin fish, and his salesman caught several, but I guess DH was pretty queasy most of the time. Debbie, I'm sure you have a good smiley for this!

Well, DH just got home from his fishing excursion. They went out 53 miles!!!! He didn't get sick, but said he was out of commission for about 3 hrs while they were in the midst of 8-10 ft swells. Even the captain told them afterwards that it was a very rough day at sea. I can't even imagine! He said they were right at the edge of the continental shelf (yeah, my days of geography are way past!) so there were tons of fish.

Oh, then he gets home and he was a little under the weather yesterday, now he sounds sick as a dog! I've sent him to take a hot bath and go to bed.

I want your opinion on this. Air Tran upped my flight time by 3 hours. From 1 pm to 10 am, we'd get home at 3:45 pm. We are currently flying out of Fort Lauderdale, which is closer to where we will be. Do you think that AirTran would change my return flight to Orlando? They have a flight that leaves at 3:45 and would put us home by 6:30. it’s a 2 hour drive back to Orlando. I am stumped. It would be good to get back earlier but I want to spend more time in FL.

I haven’t booked the car yet. DH is still working with Hertz to get a free week. The on-line stmt says we have the points but when I go to book it doesn't show that amount. He talked to rep on Friday and she was going to research it and get back to DH. She still hasn't got back to him she was extemely rude. I told him to talk to sup to get it done but with flight time change I want to hold off.

What do I do...

I am so looking forward to getting the paint done so I can start getting stuff framed and on the walls. The room is really small with a huge sectional sofa in there, so I'm limited as far as a bookcase or anything. So I think I'll buy some black shelving to hang on the walls. Plus, I printed all these disney restaurnat invitations for the walls. Plus, I get to pick out fabric for the drapes, and figure out an easy pattern.....

As for the rest of my house! I don't even want to start there. I did buy fabric to recover the chair cushions in my kitchen. But I just don't know what to do for window treatments in there. I get these great ideas, but I'm not capable of making them, and can't afford to have it done. Like DH says, I have caviar taste on a hamburger budget!!!!!

Laura, once you drive 2 hours (and take into consideration traffic so you'll probably have to allow more than 2 hrs, right?) would it really be worth it to drive to Orlando to fly out? Where are you going to be? Isn't it a lot more than 2 hrs from Ft Lauderdale to Orlando?

Laura...I don't know what to tell ya. I'm not sure what you can do with Air Tran or what they will do for you.
As for the rental car...I would be mad!

Debbie- DH lived in a 350 sq ft apt. when I met him We use to brush our teeth over the kitchen sink because that is where the medicine cabinet was. The shower was like 3 ft wide I lived with my parents again after a bad relationship (5 yrs) and was trying to save for a house. So this is like a palace to both of us.

My house isn't that big either. That kitchen looks so familar. My Great Grandmas look like that. I love it. I think on one floor it is 980 sq feet. DDs share room. youngest is screaming at oldest right now. DD won't move downstairs, says baby should. Told her if you don't like her yelling you should move. Bad mom moment. Oh well

You're right Kara it is a little more than 2.5 hrs to Orlando. We'd have to leave by 11 am to get to Orlando We're going to be in West Palm Beach. so it is at least an hour to Fort Lauderdale. so we'd have to leave at 7 am. I think I may call them tomorrow and see what they will do. I am allotting 2 hrs early for both flights. It hurts my head to think about it.
