OK, I feel really stupid - I really thought that was Debbie's son's room!!!! I was thinking, wow I am the world's worst decorator compared to her!!!!

Laura - My sis lives in Ohio so we only see her and the kids one or two times a year. DD and I were planning on flying up for a weekend in August but in all honesty I'm thinking of not going up now just because of this. Not because I'm mad at her (which I am!) but because it's still so soon that the kids might decide to talk about it. And my niece is a sneakly little thing - I can totally see her bringing it up just to see how my sister would discipline her. But I shouldn't be surprised - she told my niece about the birds and the bees when she was 7 "because she asked!" Like I said, we have totally different ideas when raising our kids!!!

Right now the History Channel has WDW on Modern Marvels - I just got home for Home Depot and DH was watching it!

If the truth comes out you will just have to tell your DD that they were mistaken and that even though that's what they thought you did or what they would have done that, that wasn't what happned in your situation. You could tell DD that they just assumed that. Worse case senario!

Or I could just shoot my sister! I told my mom about it and she just doesn't understand why my sis does stupid stuff like this. But her DH is really odd - when my nephew asked him one time "what are calories?" his response was something about energy being burned and all that crap - instead of trying to explain it for a kid - he was 7 at the time! They are just a differnet breed I guess!

Debbie - I liked that Intercot thread you posted a couple of pages back - it shows September as an ideal time to visit!!!! Let's just hope no hurricanes, even thought the Natl Weather Svc is forecasting an above average year (but they said that last year too), and not super hot weather!

Could you hear my mouth hitting floor?! Birds and Bees at 7?! Well I know different strokes for different folks but yikes!

Okay I have to cool down or I will sound like a prude. it is tough when sibling have kids close to the same age as you do. I like Debbie's idea of the worst case scenario.

It's really kinda sad - the poor kid is expected to behave like an adult, while her brother is babied beyond belief! I don't get it. And when they're with my DD, my niece tries to exclude her brother from everything, when in fact he and my DD have more in common. But you know kids.... my DD totally looks up to her cousin, so I can't NOT let them see each other. It's tough when you have perfect parenting skills and the rest of the world doesn't!
