Same with us. DH has a heart condition, so I'd rather him not do scary rides. He likes them though. Me - well, Barnstormer was more than enough for me! And at AK, DS did Safari, wasn't that wild about it. Said no to KR, Wanted to do PW, but I said no way, we spent most of our time in Dinoland playing games to be quite honest. He asked to leave that park though. I think it has a lot to do if you like the thrill rides, but it not, I don't know, seemed a little flat to me.:confused3

What heart condition? My DH has Afib.

There are people here on the disboards who are obsessed with AK. Isn't that funny.

Renee I didn't even think about the gold edging being itchy and the second one does look alot softer. I would bid. You could always sell the dress to the person bidding behind you? I do think BF is a better meal choice Lunch is always that meal where I feel so hot and don't really want to eat anything. You could always use the babycare center to change DD in when you are done with breakfast.

As obsessed as some of us are about Epcot?;)

Isn't it funny though? I'm constantly amazed how people can go to the same park, or eat at the same restaurtant, or stay at the same hotel ....... and have such hugely different opinions of them! That's why I just really try to stick with what I want to do or try - I need to find out about something for myself.

Me too. I really just do whatever I want and come to the boards more for advice on what to expect or times and prices... Too many people have way too many opinions to go by that. I mean don't get me wrong, I still like to hear peoples opinions....

We are not fans of AK either we skipped it this trip so we could have a day by the pool we actually really like DTD and would rather do that. We will hit AK next trip because my sister is going with us. I am really thinking about asking my DM to watch Badookie so that we can go on everything is 5 days away to much at 20 months?:confused3

Yeah - you and Cammie talked me into bidding on both - we will see which one I win! Probably both. I came clean to DH about what I was doing, he could care less, after all, he did the same thing and won a $180 golf club once that he ended up gifting to his dad. Didn't read that it was a senior shaft! :lmao:

I'm trying to work on my album right now - or at least the pictures for the album for CKU. I want this to be something for my kids to enjoy later. The topic is EVOLUTION, so it is basically the evolution of a person. I never do stuff on me generally, so that is why I wanted to do this one. Well, typical way to set the three sections up are 1 -birth/childhood, 2-teenager/young adult 3- adult. I am wondering if that is the way to go or if I should save all that and do an album on my own where I could write more of the story. This album limits you to two 4x6 areas two write per section basically. Another option is to jump in there and do the story of "US" and do 1-us dating/shacking up :lmao: 2-us married, 3-us with kids. Any thoughts? I don't know what to do. I'm sitting here with pictures all spread out driving myself nuts in trying to figure it out!!!

We are going to have that safari dinner/ party on this next trip so we will be going there for that. We won't rush over there but we do have a newbie going (DB's DG) so we will have to hit some main attractions. There is NO way I will get DS or DD back into Bug's life. I have traumatized them too many times with that already!

Yeah, I'm thinking ideally this time I would like to limit it downs some - maybe stay 5 or 6 nights. Do MK one day, Epcot one, half or so at DHS and do DTD and the Pool the rest - take things at a more relaxed pace. Anyone done this - wondering how it would work, but I thought we could do Char dining those days that are "off" days and still feel we were doing something "Disney" that day. :confused3

I have to admit that I totally think that would be cool to do! Not the Bug's life though - EWWW!

Renee...did you tell me what heart condition DH has?

Also,
We ALWAYS say we are going to relax more and we don't.
We are saying it again about this next trip because it is supposed to be VERY hot but we will see.

Is it really that hot in September do you think????

See, Jeff and I really like AK and part of that I'm sure is because we first went 2 weeks after the park opened, so we've seen it "grow." But it is a part with a lot of shows (like DHS) that you really have to plan out, in order to see it all. AND make good use of FPs. But we like it all, and even more so, you need to take the time to explore the little pathways, like Gorilla falls, etc. I guess it IS my least fave, but I do still enjoy one day at AK each trip. But like, Cammie, I guess I do get a little overexcited over Epcot! :confused3

And even though we are commandos when we tour, Jeff and I do always take time to sit and relax in all the parks. We were just talking last night about how so many people just don't "get it." As in the magic. They think WDW is about the rides, but it is so much more. It's getting choked up seeing your daughter meet her first "real" princess. It's seeing the wonder in the children's eyes. It's watching Wishes and "feeling" the magic. It's being a kid again. It's NO FIGHTING in Disney! It's seeing Carousel of Progress every time even though I make so much fun of it! It's singing "Its a Small World" the entire trip! We were talking about how his sister treated it like Six Flags or Cedar Point or any other regular amusement park. MK, AK, Epcot, DHS are NOT amusement parks! They are all part of Disney WORLD!

When SIL and BIL took their son on the racecars 8 times, DH and I would get so mad because those are at any amusement park in the country. But country bears (as corny as they are) are ONLY at Disney. Same with CoP and Monsters, Inc, and Jungle Cruise. And we hate it that his parents didn't get to see these things cause they were babysitting for 8 rides on the speedway! Hopefully his parents will be up for some daytrips so we can show them all the things they missed.

OK, enough of my magical musings!

An unknown one Debbie. He's had a couple heart attacks. Has high colesterol - but suspect it was a clot - not really sure. :confused3 Still, I don't think it is a great idea for him to get on anything truely too much. Just to be on the safe side. Like the Space one - that one worries me. If anyone has any suggestions on other ones to avoid - please let me know and I will try to disinterest him in those. Hey look - there is Jasmine should work! ha ha.

Laura - DH had that postcard out last night pretending to drool. MEN!

Did DH get mad at my pic??:scared: Did he like your TR?:scared: I just looked at all your pix and I loved them! I have to admit I didn't read yet.

I don't blame you! I don't like when my DH goes on certain things!

No, he didn't get mad at all. He laughed and PRETENDED to be offended. He was going to post a really obnoxious reply though! :rotfl2:

Renee - DH tries every time to get me on Mission Space cause I'm so chicken. He just described it for me in detail though and it sounds like those old barrel rides where the floor drops out from spinning so fast? It's that kind of G-forces, so I'll probably try it next time. For your DH though the only one I can think of to avoid would be Rock n Roller coaster. That take off scares the everlivin out of me! Bot TOT is awesome! And Everest is really tame. Space Mtn only goes 29 mph, Splash Mountain is so much more than the one drop! It's so colorful inside! And BTMRR is pretty tame, too. You need to do it!

As for Its a Bugs Life, I hate that! It's just not "fun" like Mickey's Philharmagic. Love that one!

Well, Ally has been playing in her BBB makeup. And apparently she doesn't understand the "less is more" philosophy with makeup! :rotfl2: Jeff and I are calling her Slutty Beauty! Of course not within earshot! :scared1: Mommy, what does slutty mean? Don't need to go there yet!

Now it's off for a nice, much needed Saturday afternoon nap! Love my naps! Ally likes to take weekend naps with me. Of course I'll need to change the sheets after today - with all that makeup!!!

We skip AK every other year; we'll be doing it in June - so Lauren and I can do Kali Rapids(can't do that w/Amanda); then we'll do it in Nov. again with Amanda. Lion King is one of her favorite movies, so we love the show too -- and she always gets picked to go out during the "kids' participation" part of the show - a CM will actually wheel her around, helping her with an instrument. The first time we ever took the girls to WDW in 1998 this happened and I swear it was my "A-HA" moment with Disney - I was hooked! I sat there with tears in my ears - could not believe they chose her; on top of that, during our first day at MK, Minnie came over and "danced" with her during a pause in the parade. I have been in love with the place ever since!

I also schedule lots of breaks. If we're there for nine days (which we are in Nov.) we'll spend two whole days at the pool, then go out for dinner. And DTD is also a must-do; usually head there for the last half of a day......gotta get me some Goofy treats!

Jillian - Are you talking about leaving Badookie home with DM while you go to WDW in Dec.? I would think that as long as he doesn't have issues with being apart from you, he would be fine. First of all, it's good that he'll be with his grandmother; and secondly, he's so young, he won't even remember.

Thanks for that link, Debbie! I guess I'm more worried about the tropical systems (hurrican, TS or just lots of rain) more than the heat. This will be my first September in FL so I guess I might as well do it at Disney, huh?

OK, gals, I need one more restuarant while we're there. We're going to scratch Flying Fish (even though it is our alltime fave!) on our arrival night, since we were going to pay out of pocket. We're getting in Wed around 6ish and leaving on Saturday. Instead of doing a 4 day hopper, I knocked it down to only three and figure that first night we can do dinner at either a resort or DTD. I'm thinking maybe Raglan Road now? Then I can use the DDP for that one. I have only two others booked on the DDP - Chefs de France and Tutto Italia. Then on Saturday before we leave we can do one or two CS. Cause we can probably share a couple of CS during the stay. Especially if it is that hot! So we're there 3 full days, and then that first night we arrive. So 3 CS, 3 TS and 3 snacks each. Raglan Road? Anyone? That's if I can even get in that first night!

WAIT!!! WTH am I talking about the park hopper? I'm a passholder now!!!! I can't believe I forgot that. So I guess we could go anywhere in Epcot (staying at Yacht Club) that first night! What about Biergarten? Or Rose & Crown? No offense to the rest of you, but....... Cammie????? :rotfl2:
