Well, I'm finally going to the doctor today to figure out what is up with my leg! It will be fine for a couple of days, and then just hurts when I move a certain way. Plus, I've found a doctor close to home finally. I was driving 1/2 hour just to a family physician, recommended by a friend who used to live here.

But I called the doctor I've been seeing to call in a new prescription for me, and they never called back. They did call in the prescription because I just happened to be at the pharmacy and I checked on it, but they never called to let me know. OH, and they told the pharmacist to let me know I need to have blood work done. What's up with that? That's when I decided to find a new doctor.OK, I"m sitting at my desk right now in my office and there are about 8 turkey walking through my front yard! I took this pic but when I opened the front door Bucky started barking and the turkeys were on the run!

Is this the same leg problem you were talking about the other week? What meds are they prescribing? I agree though - poor communication on the docs part -- telling the pharmacist to tell you to get blood work?:sad2:

As for the turkeys - yeah, we have those too! They GROSS me out!

That is the exact poster I had!!!!! :lmao: Ponch!

I about snapped last night. I'm sure y'all can appreciate this. When Ally got home from school, I told her she needed to pick up all her stuff around the house. I pointed out things in the kitchen and family room, and then told her I wanted her room clean.

She just takes her clothes off at bath time and drops them on the bathroom floor. The hamper is right by the tub!!!!! And same goes for her bedroom. Clothes everywhere. And when I do laundry, I fold her clothes, separate them into piles based on which drawer they go in, then put the piles on the steps for her to carry up and put away. But she's just like Jeff and does everything half a$$ed - she throws them in the drawers instead on just laying the neat piles in there. So her drawers won't close! And I just cleaned them out a couple of weeks ago.

So when I went up last night to check it out, I was appalled! She flat out lied to me and told me she cleaned up and she hadn't touched it!!! I was looking for a vest I wanted her to wear for pictures, and I couldn't find it. Of course, her closet floor was covered with clothes, etc. So I started screaming at her like a crazy woman. When she said she didn't know where the vest was, I yelled, "FIND IT!" She jumped, I scared her I think! Then I stormed out, and told Jeff he could deal with her.

About 1/2 hour later she came down to say goodnight, and she apologized to me. She's so sweet. I told her that friends don't lie to each other..... And I checked today and she got her closet cleaned up last night. But today she's grounded from TV, computer, and video games. She has to finish her homework and then get that room clean!!!

I can only take so much, it builds and builds, and then I just snap!

It is the same leg issue, but I haven't seen a dr yet for this. The meds were for my cholesterol.... Apparently I need to get it checked again.

Regarding the leg issue - I'm thinking you'll probably be referred to an orthopedic dr.; GPs can't do much for you if it's a muscle or joint thing going on. It just thinks that you have to go through the "process" though before you see the right doc.

As for Ally - don't fall for that sweet "I'm sorry." Sounds like you'll stick with your punishment and you should - it's the only way they'll learn!

I used to get so tired of hearing Lauren apoligize for the same things over and over again that I eventually told her that her sorries don't mean anything if she keeps repeating the offense. (I think sometimes our kids toss that phrase around and think all is forgiven!) They need to learn to follow up!

Did anyone watch Oprah yesterday were they had overwhelmed moms on?

They guy had that Zen who said Men need to take over some of the work. That was like music to my ears but do you think any MEN heard it? NO maybe if they aired it on ESPN :lmao:

Kara- That drives me crazy we always have clothes everywhere and I can't stand it I even had hampers in the rooms but Badookie was taking clothes out and throwing them around!

Well off to get a gate for Badookie.

Hi Girls,
I feel so bad I am not hanging out here. I can't believe I haven't gotten to pictures either but I have been so busy. The first week of the month always seems to be the busiest on our end.

First Daisy meeting for parents is tonight. Hopefully that goes well. I at least got all the forms done yesterday.

It is freezing here! Thank God the sun is at least out.

See you guys later!
I am going to go get a couple pix to post to brighton my cold day! I'll be back!

I ALREADY want to be back!

debbie seeing those pix of the family really makes me want to jump on a plane and go hide in the bushes around Cindy's castle.

I am a little stressed. I HATE open office. I get the whole linux thing. Free ware great. Open source code even better. Not giving moneyt to Microsoft fantastic!! Just make the stupid stuff work. I have spent the last 2 hours trying to get a margin to fit on a godforsaken excel-like document. I know excel like the back of my hand. I have been called a power user. AGHHHH!!! I'm sure you could hear that scream all the way to Disney. Where is my fairy godmother? I want to go to a ball and not be here. Okay rant over. I have taken a deep breath.

Headed to bed-- thank the lord for my DVR. I can watch something without the political ads. Talk to everyone tomorrow.

i am falling over, i'd stay and chat but my eyes are too heavy. The document finally printed. I can hand them out on Sat at the marathon. Pray for nice weather for sat we have our marathon for school. Instead of selling wrapping paper, candy, et. al... we do a marathon with pledges that way all the $ goes to school.

Boy... do I long for this view when I walk in a room instead of piles of laundry and crap everywhere I look throughout the house!

Hang in there buddy!!!!!:wizard:

hi all

Debbie - loved all the pics!!! really makes me want to be over there - instead I'm bogged down with the decorating - I sanded down and primed a doorframe today so far - wooohooo - I get to do the satin topcoat after work - aren't I just the luckiest..... (can you hear the sarcasm??) still, I can escape onto the DIS for an hour or so whilst it dries...

Am getting back in to the Christmas crafts in the evenings - need to lose weight (AGAIN) and my best tactic is doing craft - so I'm back doing my felt Christmas tree skirt thing - might get it finished for this year - that's the aim! And in between, for more visible gain I'm doing beaded ornament/bauble covers - they only take about 5 hours each - the felt thing is going to take about 50 hours in total i reckon.....

Had to get the winter coats out today - no snow, just COLD, seems like a quick end to the summer that never was - it never got very hot or very sunny here this year, just dismal grey mostly - we had the kids paddling pool out for 4 days IN TOTAL - ALL SUMMER!!!!! I was so glad of our trip to Florida - at least I can remember what warm sunshine felt like!

You go girl!! I totally understand, crafts sound great in your mind, but then the time it takes to get the things done take forever!! I always think I'm going to do some great holiday craft, but then when I get everything out to do it, I'm exhausted and never get it done.

Laura - I didn't understand a thing you were saying.... :confused3 I'm not very computer savvy - I can make a spreadsheet, but I don't know any of the formulas.... So you might as well have been speaking swahili for all I got out of that!!! :rotfl2:

Tessa - good luck with the crafts!!! You and Tina are way more adventurous than I am!

Debbie - keep going with the pix - love them!

Jillian - I love the idea of little Oprah blurbs on ESPN!!! But even then it wouldn't sink in. We need Kirk Herbstreit telling me they need to do more!!! Oh wait, he's a guy too so he would agree with all other men that they already help out more than they need to....:sad2:

Hi girls, It's a chilly morning here, again. I haven't put my heat on yet so it feels like fall in my house, too. I am watching the DVC show that was on the travel channel. Did you guys see the place they are building in Hawaii? It looks awesome.
