I'm so glad Ally did well - how is she feeling today? As for the GC - TOO FUNNY! Sidebar - ever ate at Max and something... what was it -anyway, it was great!

Debbie - i'd been ticked about the view too. When you feel bad - remind yourself they get north of $100 a day for that view, so they better just provide it! Good for you on the second view!

Since you don't need to get in the park for free you get a $75.00 gift card to use in the park that day or a dream fast pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has to be your birthday though.

For the first year ever, I passed on pre-sale tix for Sesame Street Live. I'm holding out for Imagination Movers to come. For the money, I just couldn't see doing it this year, esp. with our Disney trip coming up in May IF the economy settles.

I had been back and forth with the dr. about that stupid pill making me feel like crud. Finally she said to stop it Monday. Guess it is a good think I made that decision on my own Friday! So she said to consider the Mirana and I'm just chilling out for a while - I mean, the ONLY reason to do it would be to lighten AF. Carlos got the sniperoo, so personally, I think any intervention sucks.

I'm going to get some things done. Catching up on bills, calling my DAD (yes it has been a month again), I need to do things around the house, and a few for myself. Never ending cycle, I tell you!

But I did want to catch up with you all - even if it is at almost midnight and everyone is sleeping. Hi to everyone else I missed! Miss you guys.

Good morning everyone! ANOTHER gloomy day here! I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever see the sun again!

So I got a call from Amanda's school yesterday - they wanted me to pick her up because she had a fever of 102. But sometimes, if Amanda is aggravated about something, she gets herself worked up and her body temp. rises. They didn't want to to wait it out; gave her Motrin and said their rule is any temp above 101 and the kid needs to go home. The nurse tried to tell me that she needed to stay home now for 24 hours to make sure she's fever-free. Yeah right; I already told them if she gets home and is fine for the rest of the day and night, I'm sending her - which she was! I hope she stays fine for the rest of the day - or man, will I feel REALLY bad for sending her back in today!

Renee - Glad you're back; we missed you! I also vote for you keeping your trip for May. March is much cooler and also, I believe, Jan-March is a big time for ride rehabs. - so some things could be closed. Leave the trip alone already!

Kara - I never heard back from you regarding my last text the other night: how is Ally feeling? Is she completely done with the tubes in her ears? And how long can she not swim?

Debbie - Still waiting for more pix!

I'm seriously going to get cracking on my pre-TR today. I've gotten my materials together to make our countdown calendar. Lauren and I were going to work on it yesterday but that project was interuppted with having to drive into Boston to get Amanda. I haven't looked in any of my Disney plans in about two weeks - need to make sure this Nov. trip is in order, at least.

Cammie - don't know about your area up there but I've had great luck with appliance shopping at Home Depot. Oh, and I accidentally found out that Best Buy will "negotiate" on price. And both have the 12 months or up to 3 year financing. Love that. Until it comes due!

I've checked out Home Depot, Best Buy, Sears and any other place that carries appliances. Each place advertises a great deal on one thing but they get you somewhere else. For example, Home Depot will offer free delivery but charge you an arm & a leg for take-away or installation. KWIM?

As for the Sears Outlet, they do have great prices but, if I remember correctly, there's one service they don't offer - delivery, installation? Can't remember. I do have someone that will do the installation and take-away for me; so I think I'll be going to BestBuy. I do have a cc and rewards zone card so I will get something back for it. Now, does anyone know when is the best time to buy appliances (for the best prices)? I know Consumer Reports does a report that show what times of the year are the best times to buy certain things - I'm too lazy to look it up!

I've got the most fun "recipe!" Do you like Payday candy bars? Mix up a bowl of candy corn, and salted peanuts. It tastes EXACTLY like a Payday!!! Very addictive! I"m eating some now and I can't stop!!!!!

Wow girls quiet today.. I am shocked. Well it was as Cammie said a rainy yucky day here. I am so sick of it,the weather man said if it were snow it would equal out to 66 inches Is this the winter we have to look forward to?

Jenroc! Keep in mind - all of the posted "eye candy" are of legal age! Yet, some of us here have an unhealthy, yet completely innocent, obsession with some of the younger "candy."

And, yes there is help for you - this thread! We don't need no stinkin' travel agents here! Yes, most of us here feel better when we handle our own plans; could never rely on someone else taking care of things for us. So please, feel free to come here and ask questions, vent, or just chat!

Ok, my goal was to get us off this page 233 which we seem to be stuck on. Seriously, how many posts does one page hold?

Anyway, I'm off to the gym now. Then I have to go buy some new underwear for Lauren and I can't believe I'm doing this but -- they have to be the "low-rise" type! I've always been appalled when I've seen them in the store - why does a 12 yr.old (or 8 or 9 yr.old) need low-rise underwear? Well, because all of the jeans are cut that way now!!!! I mean her jeans are not scary low (you can't see crack), but her regular underwear still sticks out the top of them and she's embarassed. Ridiculous!!!

Jenroc - I don't use travel agents for Disney. When I was 16 my uncle used a travel agent who got us the crumiest deal out there. He was booking for all of us and when my mom found out how much money it cost and figured it out separating the cheapest airfare at the time and hotel it was waaay cheaper. So lessen learned for me early on. Now I look into everything myself and I'll only book a package with Disney if they do a better job than me.

Cammie - My fav. forever is Johnny. Thanks for posting the pics. I know what you mean about the underwear. Some of my jeans are so low that without a belt they would show your crack. I make sure I ALWAYS wear a belt. I don't know how some people don't mind their crack showing. Oh well.

Well, I'm finally going to the doctor today to figure out what is up with my leg! It will be fine for a couple of days, and then just hurts when I move a certain way. Plus, I've found a doctor close to home finally. I was driving 1/2 hour just to a family physician, recommended by a friend who used to live here.

But I called the doctor I've been seeing to call in a new prescription for me, and they never called back. They did call in the prescription because I just happened to be at the pharmacy and I checked on it, but they never called to let me know. OH, and they told the pharmacist to let me know I need to have blood work done. What's up with that? That's when I decided to find a new doctor.

Laura - how is Tim doing? You sound frazzled. Take my advice. Wine. Bath. Ya can't beat the two together!

I was so embarassed this morning! Ally's teacher sent out an email yesterday reminding parents that today is picture day. But the order form that they sent home didn't have any pricing on it! So I emailed her back and told her that. She called me this morning and told me the pricing was on the back. But it wasn't! Somehow we got a copy of the order form that had no pricing listed anywhere! I looked. Jeff looked. I even showed it to another mom at the bus stop this morning and she agreed we got a copy with no pricing! But I just know that Ally's teacher thinks I'm an idiot!

OK, I"m sitting at my desk right now in my office and there are about 8 turkey walking through my front yard! I took this pic but when I opened the front door Bucky started barking and the turkeys were on the run!

i swear you live in Animal Kingdom Kara. There are always crazy creature stalking you. BTW love the paver drive way. Would love to have one of those but the silly snow would destroy it-okay not the snow but the snowblower.

Off to clean the basement. I have organized all of the girls clothes. I have 12 rubbermaid bins full of stuff. I just can't bring mysefl to get rid of the baby stuff.
