Hi everyone things have been kind of crazy it has been so nice here weather wise we have been outside almost every minute.

Well it's official my cousin is in Labor I guess her water started leaking 3 days ago and the nurse told her she just pee'd herself. Can You believe it? WTH? I just talked to my aunt and she is 3cm and is now on pitocin. Poor thing :guilty: she hasn't asked for the epidural yet either tough little thing!

Well I have to change my dining ressies all around except 1900 PF and CP and Le Cellier. I think I am going to add germany and maybe LTT? I am sure the CM's will be ticked off with one less person there but the Dining CM said just tell them at the podium. Nothing else is available.

Hmmm?????

Kara- How are things going are you safe? I will have to go back and read I don't blame you for walking out on Jeff. I HATE cell phones anywhere I eat.

Renee- I think maybe it is time to talk to your doc about the sinus surgery. It is yucky but was worth it. I hope you are feeling better.

Hi to everyone else. Hope everyone is enjoying these last few weeks of summer.

Hi everyone things have been kind of crazy it has been so nice here weather wise we have been outside almost every minute.

Go ahead and rub it in!!!

I was the opposite - I was checked in to induce labor, and while Jeff ran out to get dinner, I thought I had pee-d myself but my water had broken. It really sucked because I hadn't eaten since breakfast, it was about 7pm and Jeff brought back Arby's. The nurses wouldn't let me eat! So Jeff ate in front of me! I think I was almost 5cm before I had my epidural. At around 4 they gave me something to "take the edge off" and it made me throw up.... all over Jeff! Serves him right for eating in front of me! :rotfl2:

Well I have to change my dining ressies all around except 1900 PF and CP and Le Cellier. I think I am going to add germany and maybe LTT? I am sure the CM's will be ticked off with one less person there but the Dining CM said just tell them at the podium. Nothing else is available.

Don't you dare change 1900PF - don't we have ADRs at the same time???? :thumbsup2

Hmmm?????

Kara- How are things going are you safe? I will have to go back and read I don't blame you for walking out on Jeff. I HATE cell phones anywhere I eat.

I have pretty much come to hate cell phones in general. Yes, I keep mine on me all the time, but I hate to see people standing in line at the store chatting away and completely ignoring the cashiers, or being so caught up in their phone conversations that they don't pay attention to their kids, or driving, or whatever. I seriously think they've become more dangerous the way people use them.

Renee- I think maybe it is time to talk to your doc about the sinus surgery. It is yucky but was worth it. I hope you are feeling better.

Hi to everyone else. Hope everyone is enjoying these last few weeks of summer.

It is getting REALLY windy now! They have closed two big bridges in town because of high winds. Just a really gloomy day interrupted by periods of howling winds. I just don't understand all the businesses that are closed though. I mean, a blizzard is far more dangerous than this, and I can't remember retail and offices all closing for a blizzard. It's a differest beast, I guess.... :confused3

I hear you are going to get a lot of rain and that might be a good thing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Renee- with all of the silly sinus troubles, have you had your wisdom teeth out? I know someone who had theirs impacting the sinuses. I'd hope the doc would have thought of that that but you never know. Good luck

Hmm coffee-- Beth will be at school at 7:30 am on Sept 2 so I am game any time after that.

Hi ladies! I've had too much coffe w/o food today, so I have a headache - trying to take a little nap.

Kara! I see the winds swirling around you on radar! Hope you stay dry. ITA about the phones. I have had to learn to set office hours and then leave the phone in my office with the door shut so that I don't take calls during dinner or after 8pm. I don't blame you for being upset.

Debbie - so nice to see you here. We need our fearless leader! :grouphug:
Coffee will be great on Monday! I'll be "on duty" by 7am here, so I will probably be up before 6 here - 8 your time.

Renee - another suggestion - have you had allergy testing? We used to have alot of patients with allergies who had sinus troubles. I love your scrapbook night idea! Have a great time! Hope you feel better.

Jillian - keep us posted on your cousin!

Hi Pam! I've had this week off from babysitting Myles and Londynn - even had a few days to myself - they went top the coast for a few. I have been able to get alot of work done. Next week we gear up for full days with school starting for teachers.

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great day - I'm going to try to get a little sleep now and hope my headache is gone when I wake up.

HOLY CRAP!!!! IT'S REALLY WINDY AND RAINY!!! This is barely a tropical storm, I cannot even imagine a major hurricane!!!

Sure, rub it in that my 7 year old has a potty mouth! :rotfl2: Actually, it might scare the crap out of her. Me? It would scare the S**T out of me! :rotfl2:

hey - we're a family board here!

I would say it would scare the living doo-doo out of me. :lmao: :rotfl:

Seriously stay safe, we need our FL love updates.

my cousin just told her boys they are going in 3 weeks. The response, big deal we always go to Disney. Yikes I almost died. I told her I might be able to pass for a 6 yr old boy and I'll go with you. She laughed. That must be the difference between boys and girls

Fay Update....

The worst is over and it really wasn't that bad. Jeff and I sat on the back porch last night and he kept saying, "I'm SO disappointed in this storm." :rotfl: Every couple of minutes though he'd say, "oooh that's a good one!" when we'd get a big gust of wind. Otherwise it wasn't bad.

But to watch the news, they showed the reporters out on the street here and it looked awful!!! Just like all the Weather Channel reports where they show them in the midst of the storm. We're still getting gusty winds of about 50mph and the rain squalls are blowing sideways, but it was never as bad as I thought it might be. And we were one of the few in our county to not lose power, so that was good.

Kids are out of school again, which was a smart call, and Jeff should be home early. His office manager told all her people not to come in today. He said, "I'll deal with that on Monday." This chick so needs to be fired. He can't stand her and she is about as insubordinate as you can get. He's in the process of trying to lure someone away from the competition now if that works out, he can fire this gal. His life will be so much better if that happens. He's just been so stressed lately. I'll post more about his crazy situation once it all works out.

I felt awful yesterday too, my stomach ached like I had eaten something bad, my bad and shoulders hurt. I thought it was cause Jeff has been snoring really bad this week and I've slept upstairs two nights on a really bad mattress. Turns out, my favorite aunt Flo decided to make an appearance today.... Aarrgghh!!!

Guess I'll start putting the house back together now. I had all my scrapbooks and important stuff out, ready to haul into the laundry room if we got severe weather, but I think all that is done now.

We've gotten about 4-5" of rain so far, but the weekend is supposed to be sloppy, too, so I think I'll head to Michaels later today and get my fabric. I'm tired of talking about it and want it DONE!!!

Has anyone heard any more from Kara? I hope that you are OK.

Renee - I hope that you find the remedy to your sinus troubles. Have you always had them, or have they just developed over the past year or couple of years? Just curious, because although mine aren't severe, allergies have just started to bother me over the past year. I've lived in Texas since I was 12.

Debbie - I couldn't access your coffee link. I need to cut back in the afternoons because it is affecting my sleep. I used to be able to drink one right before going to bed, and nothing. I am a very restless sleeper now and wake up several times during the night most nights (maybe the nights I drink an afternoon coffee?? I need to keep a log.:lmao: ).

Laura - I can't imaging kids saying that! Especially 6 year olds! Heck, I can't imagine anyone saying that!

Oh! I need help! Friends of ours w/twin girls that Tay plays with, and another family we're all friends with, want to go to WDW w/us in Nov/Dec 2009. I do not want that! Too much to type, but although we are friends, I do not want to go THERE w/them. We've been to Las Vegas w/one of the couples, and went to the Great Wolf Lodge water park/hotel w/the family w/the twins, but I do not want to ruin my WDW vacation going with them. It was hard enough going with family. It was fun, but I like it so much better when it's just the 4 of us. I do not know how to tell them that! I'll talk more about it later.:headache:

Darrin and the girls are still asleep. Tay had friends (the twins) spend the night, but after I make breakfast, they are going home and my girls and I are spending the day together - just the three of us. I had wanted to go to Six Flags, but that didn't work out. Tay doesn't ride many rides there, and it would hold Meg back. I'd have to let Meg invite a friend, and that defeats my purpose of today. I think we are just going to go to this outside shopping center and window shop. I am done BTS shopping. Period. We'll eat lunch somewhere fun, and just look.:rolleyes1 Tonight, we are making a pallette on the living room floor, ordering pizza, watching Nim's Island, and making ice cream! Yes! I am in heaven! I just got an ice cream maker yesterday. It does make frozen yogurt and sorbets, but we are going to try the GOOD STUFF first. I bought the ingredients last night. Oh, so much for watching my weight! But, that is why I work out. Sounds good anyway! I slept until 7! OMG! I got up at the usual 5, then made myself go back to sleep and kept waking up and going back to sleep until 7. I hate that feeling. I am thinking of all of the stuff I could have done in that time.

Have a great day, all!:grouphug:

Hi Jillian, Tammie and everyone else!!

When does Cammie come back?:confused3

I am going to start breakfast and wake these people up. It's almost 8! I want to get ready and get on the road!

We have a three day weekend next weekend, too! Yoo, hoo!:woohoo:

Pam - your night sounds fun! What kind of ice cream are you making?

As for vacationing with friends, I think I'd be honest and say something like, "I'm not sure you want to go to Disney with us. We go non-stop and most people don't like that." Or something to that effect. Make them NOT want to go with you. Or maybe just tell them that Disney has always been a FAMILY experience for you, but maybe they would want to overlap your trip by a couple of days, then leaving you free for the majority of the trip?

Jeff and I said the most we'll do with family again will be single day visits with my parents, or maybe meet up with my sister next time she's there. But we won't plan a full on week vacation with anyone ever again! And Jeff's mom wants to do another family vacay in 4 years. I told Jeff ONLY if we all pay our own way. Period. His sister will need to stay in a mod cause she'll probably have another kid (that she can't handle...:rolleyes1 ) so POP won't work for them. And they'll expect Jeff's parents to pay for a more expensive resort. So I will be the one to suggest everyone pay their own way. Period. Then BSIL will say that they can't afford to go (even though I'm sure they could apply MY $24 to it!!!) and MIL will want to spring for everyone to stay at a mod, and then BSIL will want a deluxe, and so on and so forth. I can tell you right now, at that point Jeff will step in and say ENOUGH! I so don't look forward to that coming up.

I'm so looking forward to just Jeff and I going next month and then Ally and I in 3 months. Don't tell Jeff but I'm more excited to do the mother/daughter trip! :rolleyes1

We're making chocolate w/choc chips for Tay and I, and vanilla w/choc chips and heath pieces for Meg, although I will love both! I did get 1/2 and 1/2 instead of heavy cream and 2% milk instead of whole to cut back a little. I'm excited!! I hope that it turns out.

Thanks for the tips on discouraging our friends. They've never been to WDW:rotfl: , so I am sure that they will be OK to follow us around and do what we do, but they are not OK to be by themselves. They prefer to vacation w/others. When we went to LV w/the parents, they never left our side. Darrin and I even split up in LV when it's the two of us, and meet up later. We don't do it a lot, but we are OK to be alone, and they aren't. The other couple has been a few times as a couple before kids, and the wife is a very controlling, take charge kind of person, and I'm afraid they won't want to do what we want to do, and I'll feel obligated to go along w/the group to keep the peace. When it comes down to it, I really don't think they will follow thru. I think it's just talk at this point, but I want to nip it in the bud before plans start getting made. Since I am really big on the "just the family" thing, and they know that about me, I will play that card, suggesting that we just meet up occasionally, if they do end up going. It's hard, because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. When we went w/my parents, they were by our sides the whole time. When my girls wanted to spend an hour in a gift shop, I felt guilty. I want to go to WDW guilt free. The only way I can do that is w/the 4 of us.

I think guilt is my middle name. The twins' mom just called me, and told me she knew I wanted to do something w/just my girls today, to send her girls home after breakfast, when we are ready to leave. She said she wished she could take off work on Fridays, but it's hard for her. The twins are going to be home w/nothing to do today. I feel bad. BUT - these girls are w/Tay all of the time. It drives me nuts. If they are not going somewhere or doing something w/us, she is doing someting w/their family, or at their house. It's too much. I still feel bad about today...They're not bad girls, but they are girls that I wish Tay wouldn't hang around with as much. They're two years older, but one year ahead in school. They'll be at the middle school this year, Tay is in her last year of elementary. They have far more freedom than Tay does. They also are little tomboys that think playing w/dolls is stupid, like to wear baseball caps backwards, even out to eat, don't have any table manners, yell at their parents and call them stupid, bicker constantly...They live so close, and it's so convenient for Tay. I just hope that they grow apart since they'll be at different schools this year.

I'm so looking forward to just Jeff and I going next month and then Ally and I in 3 months. Don't tell Jeff but I'm more excited to do the mother/daughter trip! :rolleyes1

I bet you are! I am so jealous! You are getting so close! Do you and Jeff have matching shirts? Did you make any for you and Ally?

I hear movement. I am going to make pancakes so we can hit the road! I hope to check in later today - especially if I get ditched for friends. I am going to do everything in my power not to let that happen!;)

No matching shirts for Jeff and I - but definitely when Ally and I go! She thinks it's cool to dress alike, Jeff not so much... :rolleyes1

Pam - I hope all goes well today with the girls. And I do think that Tay will grow apart from the twins, what with them being at separate schools. The twins will probably be too "cool" to hang with an elementary school, which sounds like it could be a good thing. I know how you feel - Ally has a friend like that and I was so glad that they didn't end up in the same class this year.

Jeff just called from work and said he's the only one there and he's getting out. He said it's really bad up there and feels like what a TS should be! :scared1:

My drs nurse called at 4. I was at the pool with the kids so I missed it - and called her back at 4:30 to catch her walking out the door. She told me that she was getting on it first thing this morning and said - we want you in there tomorrow or monday, but can you do tomorrow - :confused3 So I got the CRAP scared out of me. Was all worried all night. So, I'm on CT standby today.

Racking my brain last night, my best friend and I remembered that Nicolas gave me a good crack to the nose (to the point I went in to the urgent clinic because we were certain it broke - heard cracking, black eyes instantly, etc). Xray showed nothing, but the sinus troubles started a bit after that... hummm.

Tammie - I am SUPER sensitive to smells. I was looking at your catalog last night and saw things I thought looked interesting but was very concerned you could smell a scent. Even like TIDE is too much. We use free & clear versions of everything. So, long story short, allergist is my next step - even if I have to do it on my own.

Sinus surgery. Have had two friends who have had it and said it is worthless. My dr said he would do it as a last resort but would rather not.

Someone asked about Cammie who is spending time on the shore enjoying life. :rolleyes1 She gets back today I think.

Renee- with all of the silly sinus troubles, have you had your wisdom teeth out? I know someone who had theirs impacting the sinuses. I'd hope the doc would have thought of that that but you never know. Good luck
.
Yes, I went trought the impacted thing at about 14 - good idea though!

COFFEE - what did I miss about that? Is there a new DPing that is CPing?:confused3

Sure, rub it in that my 7 year old has a potty mouth! :rotfl2: Actually, it might scare the crap out of her. Me? It would scare the S**T out of me! :rotfl2:
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

But to watch the news, they showed the reporters out on the street here and it looked awful!!!!!!
I actually watched the weather channel and thought OMG! POOR KARA! Good to hear it isn't as bad as they are reporting. To hear it here, you guys are really getting hit hard.

Renee - I hope that you find the remedy to your sinus troubles. Have you always had them, or have they just developed over the past year or couple of years? Just curious, because although mine aren't severe, allergies have just started to bother me over the past year. I've lived in Texas since I was 12.

[
I've always had issues, but mainly allergies with some sinus infections (one or two a year). This past year has been awful. It is hard to tell because I was nursing Mia and I guess the prolactin your body makes in conjunction with nursing causes a lot of swelling in the nasal cavity - which is why he has been so slow moving - wanted to see since I stopped nursing in April if it would resolve itself on its own. The main issue was I just had an improperly treated sinus infection. I understand why they are hesitant to use antibiotics, but in my case I needed them and they weren't given allowing the infection to remain for a long time and when I was given them they weren't strong enough/long enough to clear it so they were just making it resistant to them.

I still have heard nothing from the drs office. I wish we could just get this over with. My neighbors mom did one and they found a golfball size mass in her skull that they had to remove. I know that is worst case, but still scares my pants off!
