Just noticed this board and I can definitely say that I'm a worrywart. And the other day my loving mother told me I was a control freak so I guess I'll fit right in. LOVE LOVE LOVE Disney World and count the days between trips. I wish I could plan another trip immediately but hubby starts nursing school in a couple of weeks and will quit his job in exactly 9 days! I have made and remade budgets, schedules and tried to plan for every worst case scenario. I've also hoarded every last cent like a squirrel with its' nuts. I'm starting to feel a little nutty myself. And I feel ridiculous for getting in a tizzy over something positive but I have spent the last week agonizing over which of the 3 preschools my son got accepted in to send him to. I also started another part time job this week to help with finances. I've spent the past week reorganizing my house and have cleaned out every closet and I can't manage to sleep past 5 o'clock in the morning for some reason. Sorry to be so off topic but I figured if anyone would listen it would be you guys. So, do I qualify? Can I join in?

Sounds great that your DH is going back to school - I'm sure it is a little scary though. But it sounds as if y'all have thought it through and planned accordinging. Wishing him luck!!!

Okay - no to the sweet tea from me , Fruit tea - yes, sweet tea . I like my ice tea unsweetened with lemon. PURIST!

Desk is coming along fine. My back hurts a bit though. I know it was stupid of me to pick up the box. BUT - Carlos will be SO SUPRISED! It gives him a nice desk to spread out on - other than trying to work in our bed. I destroyed the hutch of the old one - and got it a bit together. Now all I need is to get fabric and make a cover for the old one since they don't match.

Ooh, Renee, I like that!!!! It looks really pretty! Make sure you get a nice pink polka dot for Carlos, since he likes the idea of my hanging curtain so much!

Next time, open the box outside, and carry the pieces in separately! Especially if you're going UPSTIARS!!!! My elliptical is like 200 lbs, so I unpacked the box while it was still in the back of my car - then carted the individual pieces up the steps to my old bonus room. I'm like you, Renee, I just jump in and put it together. Plus, I actually read the directions, so it gets done right!!! Men!

So Kara - here is what I've done so far - the rest of you can laugh at my lack of decor skills in my bonus room

Put the toys together on the wall behind the computer area.

Moved the couch and chair to open the area up

And here is me just bragging on my kids. They are always doing this in the car.

And my little girl who carries her purses like she is a little old woman.

Last but not least - my latest crush. My new niece!

Your niece looks so... well, like a baby. I know, I know! I'm the evil one who thinks all babies look the same! And I even admit that Ally was an ugly baby! Yes, you heard me correctly! I don't think newborns are cute at all - they look like little monkies. I'm just making all sorts of friends here, aren't I?

I seriously thought about that before I carried it up the garage stairs - but it was so hot in the garage - so I hauled it up the garage stairs and then though - heck, why not just carry it up the stairs again. Mia was napping and I didn't want to make more noise than I had to.

I'm not sure what fabric I will get. I was thinking something to match the couch. Who knows.

OK, I'm still IN! But last night Jeff told me I couldn't go. Yeah, we all know how that goes! But he told me he wouldn't let me go meet people like this. Then he told me he was going to make me watch 20/20!!! I did tell him that Cammie said she couldn't bring her hatchet cause it wouldn't go through airport security!!!

Then he told me that if I go, I can no longer make fun of my BIL (my sis's DH) who flew to CA to meet some online gaming buddies. Cause now I'm a realy internet geek, too!

Oh - we're going all-out, full-blown crazy - we may have never met each other; but we're all are comfortable sharing a room! Except Kara - she snores, so she'll be sleeping on the balcony!

I will have to be on the balcony with Kara! Actually, I am a little afraid to share - people tell me its okay that I snore, and then they get grouchy about it -

tim might not let me hang out with you guys. I pick up accents so fast. I have lived in MN my entire life but after 4 days in Johnson City, TN, you would have sworn I grew up there. After a week in Boston I had that lazy R down pat. I can only imagine what I will sound like after a long weekend with y'all.

My favorite thing is when I am at work people ask where are we located. I say MN and they reply you don't sound like someone from MN. I say are you expecting "Grumpy Old Men" or "Fargo"? Then I thow in the you betcha just for good measure.

Okay, I know I've been gone for a week - I had a hard time catching up after my retreat, which, BTW was fabulous! Can I come to your meet too? It sounds like so much fun! I have a link for a fabulous 3 Bdrm 2 Bath house with a pool in Kissimmee for $109 a night!!!!!! http://amazingdisneyhomes.com/index.html Even with renting a van to drive back and forth it would be a huge savings and lots of fun! We could take turns being the DD - or I'll save my drinking for after we get home - What do you think?

I finally have an afternoon where the baby is playing, not crying, and Myles took a nap. I have all 3 on Mon and Tues - then Londynn and Myles on Wed and Thurs.

Check out my TR if you want to see where I was this weekend - they gave me my own room, BTW! I really am not a good roommate, but I don't mind sleeping on the couch if we had a house. I also think I could get us a suite at SOG really cheap. The pool isn't great, but the rooms are huge and really nice, and the lobby is really nice. You can take their buses and walk across the street to the Poly for the monorail, and I can save us bunches on tickets.

Okay, gotta go - when are we going? My anniversary is Sep 13th, and my Arbonne trip will be usually the first week of October - should be Hawaii next week, so I won't be available then - otherwise...I will save up for whatever you girls decide! I would love free dining!

Good Morning! TGIF!!!

My baby comes home tomorrow! Of course we have to drive a lot further than 1/2 way to get her.... Guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Renee, I'm like Tina, I'm not sure what you're planning with the pink ribbon and pearls with the board? But the ribbon is very pretty!

So I just got a JCPenney coupon for 30% off in the mail. I think I'm going to return the drapes I got, and then rebuy them. 30% is $50! But then I'll need to hold off on the fabric, and my coupon expires tomorrow..... But Joann's always runs 50% off on fabric, so I guess I'll just delay this project even longer!

So Jeff just calls me to tell me that he left his cell phone in the golf cart. We took a little cruise last night around the neighborhood. So he wants me to let him know if he gets a lot of calls today. WTH??? Last time I checked I was NOT his secretary!!! Stupid man!

I got 7 bags of mulch laid last night, and planted 4 plumbago bushes. So pretty with little blue flowers.... And then some Purple Queen - I'm guessing they start crossdressing when the sun goes down or something! Actually, really pretty dark purple leaves and little pink flowers. Not sure if the two go together but I really liked them, so I may have to move some plants around.... I tend to do this a lot - plant something, find something else I like, they don't complement each other, so I have to rearrange and move stuff all over the place.

Renee – Your niece is beautiful!! Congrats! Your kids are adorable too, and I love the pic of them in the backseat! That is so sweet! Does Mia have Crocs on in one of the pics? I cannot wait to buy the little Crocs for my niece! She is only 6mos, so it will be awhile. Hmmm…I will need to borrow your idea for the canvas for the girls rooms! They have little covered boards, but not that big. Where do you get them? Last question. When do you think you are going to get your kids some toys??!!! I miss those days!

World Traveler, I mean Tammie (HAWAII???!!), we were talking of going either of the last two weeks of Sept, depending on what the rates are when they come out. That is awesome about the house and your offer to share that deal, but w/the rates that the girls were talking about for a couple of the on property villas, and w/sharing the cost, I think I would rather stay on property, have use of the buses and take advantage of EMHs. That way, everyone can indulge at Epcot, or anywhere, w/out having to worry about who would drive, or making someone sit w/a bunch of goofy women who are indulging in drinks, while they are not (you are so sweet to offer that, but it’s no fun!). I am not a big drinker, but one drink can put me into total goofiness, especially being around a bunch of friends who are drinking and having fun… Also, we will only be there for 3 days, so we will want to cram in as many park hours as possible. Maybe, if it turns out to be less expensive in the house w/the rental car, and some want to do it, some of us can do that, and some of us can do the on property? I am so glad that you are going!!!

Tammie - those houses look great! But I agree with Pam that I'd much rather stay on Disney property. We love rental homes when we go to the beach, but at Disney, I don't feel like I'm really there unless I'm riding busses and monorails, and walking 12 miles to my room! So, are you in???

Well, you answered my question about Ally! As for men, I sometimes truly believe that it is in their genes. I am also laughing about your gardening, but in reality, I am jealous! We need about 20 more hours in the week. When you all talk about plant and flower types, it all just goes over my head!!!
