Hey Keahi! I have another one already written. Keep in mind these events all happened within 3 days of each other!!!! Just tell your boss it's your CIF (crazy internet friend) detailing her Ferrgie life (ya know - G-L-A-M......)
Tessa - you're cracking me up! I figured y'all had certain images of us - the gingham and white picket fences cracked me up. I was born in Kansas City, MO, and when we moved to Ohio, everyone called me "Dorothy."
When my Dad was in the military, he invited one of his buddies from NY home with him when they were on leave (home was Kansas City) and his friend was seriously afraid to go with him cause he thought there were gunfighting cowboys roaming the streets, and cattle running through town. So I guess people here even have stereotypes of different areas of our own country. After all, New Jersey is all mafia, right?
Oh, when I moved to the south, I had lots of fun detailing my daily life there, too! Never saw a banjo, however, in some of the small towns I was pretty sure that people shared a set of teeth!
OK, our stereotype of Brits? Masterpiece Theatre, no sense of humor, the cockney accent, bad teeth, nothing green in England cause it's always grey and rainy (ala Wuthering Heights), and really bad food (kidney pie? haggis?). I think that's why Jeff is afraid to eat at Rose & Crown in Epcot!
Don't get me wrong, I was a HUGE Lady Di fan (more so than Princess Di), and even made my parents stay in the hotel one day so I could watch the wedding while we were vacationing in the Grand Canyon!!!
Good to find out now that DD is allergic to penicillin - I am too! I had a slight reaction in college - just some itching, but enough for the doctor to declare it an allergy and tell me no more! Hope she's feeling better!
Debbie - Hope all is well with you - any more news on the other issue?
Jillian - I know exactly what you're saying. Jeff is wanting me to look for something else making more money. I would need to make at least an extra $10K just to compensate for the gas I'd be using, eating out for lunch, and wardrobe, throw in $5K a year for after school care, and another $5K for the convenience of working from home (including a cleaning lady I would DEFINTELY hire!) so now I would have to make about $20K MORE than I'm making now??? I have a really good job now so that would be pretty tough. You're a medic, too, right? Does Mike work for the city or a private service? My BIL is a firefighter/medic and my sis was a medic too. She hasn't kept up her certification though since having kids. She worked for the city on call, and also for a private ambulance service - this was back when she was in her early 20's - and injured her back while working for the private service. They wanted her to file her workers comp claim with the city though - come to find out that they had let their workers comp lapse and she LOST her claim and was stuck with over $20K in medical bills!!! How crazy is that!
So I do hope you can find something - what do you do with Badookie while you work now?
Tammie - Yup, I remember sitting on my stitches too - becoming a mother is so G-L-A-M-O-R-OUS, huh?
Laura - while I know it's scary, I kind of agree with Tessa on this. Yes, be careful and be vigilant, but it's that 2% (probably around the same percentage here as in Great Britain I would guess) that get all the publicity. And just never leave her out front alone. Also, have you ever had someone that you know (that Beth does NOT know) come to the house to "test" her? We did that when Ally was 4 and we had just moved to our new house. I had one of our new neighbors come over and try to get her to open the door while I was "indisposed." Actually, I was hiding just around the corner. Of course she failed the test, and let them in, but from there we went to work teaching her how to behave in different situations. I really need to try that again and have someone drive up and pretend they have candy or are looking for their lost dog or something like that. I hate that we have to do this, but I guess I watch too much TV, and I don't want to be that person who thought it could never happen to me, ya know?
Whip - DH was in Watertown from 1978-87, would've graduated high school in 88 but his folks moved at the end of his junior year.
Tammie - you dirty dog!!! You're leaving tomorrow, right? Have a wonderful trip and just remember the rule.... you must torture us with tons of pics when you return!!!!!
Renee - hope you're feeling better!!!
Cammie and Pam - hurry home (well, not really, don't want to cut your trip short) but we want to live vicariously through your TRs and pics, too!!!!

Hey Erin, where are you???
. I've learnt that he better have no major surgery done, or I might just have to return him to his parents COD!
You have every right to be concerned! OMG!
Good luck!
her body just did not like it, so she's now on a different medication and back to the doc again today for a check up. A sleepless night all round.
- you know skinny + tanned from the west coast, cowboys of lower intelligence from Texas, everyone from the deep south plays the banjo, from the mid west you have a white picket fence and a lot of gingham check material, east coast you have hard nosed business types and for some reason lots and lots of taxi drivers in the cities, and pilgrim father types (and Angela Lansbury of course) in the small coastal towns...and up till now - really old wrinklies in Florida..... maybe I have to add trailer trash in there somewhere..... so I've probably insulted everyone now!!! Meant in the best possible way with lots of affection of course....
Then comes shipping day!
My feet dried out like a shriveled up prune within 2 hrs!
