Ok, Kara, looking for your reassuring words........I've just checked the 7-day forecast for Orlando; they have clouds and lightning bolts for every, single day!
Never fear, Accuweather Kara is here!
And the only day I'm showing for pm t-storms is Sunday! This is really the best and most accurate weather site, IMO. Little story - background: I used to listen to an 80's station on the radio all the time. On 9/11 it was interuppted, for obvious reasons, by the sister station which was a talk radio station. I became hooked on talk radio after that. In fact, for those of you who listen to talk radio, ya know Mike Gallagher? My girlfriend married his son! Anywho, I would anxiously await the morning weather report which was called in every morning by someone from Accuweather. And one day, in the winter, all the local TV stations, and the Weather Channel, were predicting we'd gt 3-5 inches of snow that day. The guy on Accuweather, Dr Joe Sobel, said the way it looked he wouldn't be surprised if we got 12"! Now that's just unheard of in SC, so everyone kinda laughed. Guess what? We woke up to between 10-13" throught the area! Ever since then, Accuweather has been right on the money! Of course, we're looking at an extended forecast here and that's bound to change....
So today I sat down and made a red velvet cake with the girls after school. I had never had it, but kept hearing how great it was on tv and via friends. After listening to DD5 cry at DD8's softball game for 10 mins we came home. There was the cake, still in the pan. So I flipped it over and hello I forgot to grease the bottom of the pan - dope - so of course the cake split in two and fell apart. So with a little bit of white vanilla frosting DD5 and I grabbed forks and dug in. Well I have to say it wasn't the best cake I've ever had adn maybe I didn't pick the best receipe, but it was ok. Kinda of a let down, but it was alright. I think I'm going to pass on it being one of the girls' birthday cakes, but hey I had to try it.
Anyone else made a red velvet cake?
Never made one, but I love them! And I love to bake - I've made all Ally's bday cakes since her 2nd bday. I'd love to find a good recipe and try a red velvet cake.
Hello Girls hope everyone is well. It's been a yucky week here I fell down the stair yesterday tripped over Luca and hit my face.

My ear is feeling better.
You'd better watch yourself!!!! Hope you're not too banged up!
Well it looks like CBR will be going thru renovations so we will be changing to POFQ. I am glad I LOVE it there.
Is the pool still being rehabbed there? CBR seems to get a bad rap - never been there, but it sounds nice.

Is it because it's the oldest moderate?
Hey there. Just checking in. I've been lurking over on the cruise boards, being my obsessive self, trying to plan for our Oct. cruise... I've got the double whammy going -- one week at WDW, followed by 4 nights on the Wonder.
I've added on the Romance Escape at Sea package for DH and I (no, not to "spice things up" but primarily so I can make reservations for Palo and shore excursions at 105 day mark -- which is this coming Sunday -- versus 75 days).

That also means I have to pay off the cruise tomorrow, prior to making reservations, so I can empathize with Debbie with the finances thing. Yikes !
Ahhhh, sounds wonderful!!!!
Cammie, Tammie, and Pam -- it's almost time

You guys must be super excited...
OK, I feel better now - I've been posting best wishes to Cammie and Tammie, and I've seen others say Cammie and Pam. So it's actually all three of you lucky ducks!!!!
Aloha -- keahi
Boy...I can not handle my liquer.....
Good night girls!
Unfortunately giving up groceries isn't cutting it!
No, but I'm still loving what I call "Clear the Pantry!" I've got like 6 boxes of pasta in there, so I made baked ziti the other night - there's one box gone, plus a can of tomato sauce, and a can of chicken broth. I'm so loving this!!!!
Cammie...please take me with you! Pam..I'll go with you too. I will babysit Pam!
Debbe - I so feel your pain. Jeff has to have a "talk" with me a couple of times a year. It hasn't been so bad since we moved cause I just don't go out too much. But I did get the internet spending "talk" not too long ago.
Oh, and Kara, it is 80 and sunny in the daytime, we are sleeping with our windows open, it will be 55 with a nice cool breeze overnight!
Sure, rub it in!!!!

It's so hot here right now - and the humidity isn't even that bad yet. It's just that 90 here in the sun feels like 98. The Real Feel temp is usually 8-10 degrees higher than the real temp - the sun is crazy hot! Cammie, be prepared!!!!! You'll still have a blast !
Renee - hope you're feeling better and medicine doesn't have you too knocked out!
Took Ally to the Dentist yesterday - she started crying when they took her back, she wnted me. So I got to stand outside the room while the dentist filled her tooth.
I think she's got PMS this week! Then when we were driving home she started crying that she misses SC. Oy vey! Love that expression!
Found a couple of fabrics that might work, then called my girlfriend and told her that her mission, if she wants a bed to sleep in while she's here, is to help me find fabric!!!!!!

She just has an eye for it.
OK, off to shower and get ready for the day.
TGIF!!!! Yes, Erin, it's been a long week!!!
