I just ordered a ton of stuff from the DIsney store today. The store at Houston Galleria was amazing. Much more than ours here. I ordered a lot of the $4.99 t-shirts for next year, and some WallE stuff for Nicolas. :cool1: I got Mia XXS 2/3 shirts, which may still be too big, but we will deal with it then. She'll eventually fit into them!

Cammie - glad that idea works for you. We had dinner one night at WCC, and I'm not an outdoorsy type, but I thought I would really like staying there. Very relaxing and tranquil! I am certain you will have an absolute blast! T-shirts look great too by the way. As for your shirts in the upcoming trip - why not let Martha make them for you and then just send them to you? :rolleyes1

Martha - see above. I just volunteered you. :rotfl:

Debbie - so glad you are back and you scored such a find! :thumbsup2

Today I broke down and moved Nicolas' train table into his room with all his trains and die cast CARS. Mia keeps getting into them in the play room, so we thought he can go in there and keep her out of his things. So far, he is doing good not playing with it at night. He is so happy to be such a big boy today. He decided his Father's Day gift was taking Daddy to see Bamboo Panda (Kung Fu Panda) :lmao: Daddy was SO EXCITED - not really, but he put on a good show!

I think Martha is too busy doing this -

:lmao: :lmao:

I meant the one later on in the year, but you may be able to pay her in Raid or something :confused3 So how is the packing going? Debbie's going to be so proud of all your smilies! :worship:

I'm printing out photos for my clear album. I hope to post photos and see what Martha thinks. :dance3:

Carlos has been doing "drunk bidding" on ebay. He said it is like drunk posting - only with no friends and you end up with clubs that you really didn't want... :lmao: I'm just proud he paid enough attention to remember we "drunk post"

I showed DH the pictures of the copperhead snake and we both shivered a little bit. I think I'll try the moth balls in the mulch to see if it works. It's been a very slow father's day today actually I took a 4 hour nap even though it's been his day, I got a nap.

[/SIZE]I'm back too! We survived grad day - actually Friday, both Mark, my ds and Lindsay, my DIL were flat out sick after practice - Mark did pass out, BTW. So they went to bed, and we took care of the babies and I finished my cleaning, ironed their robes and our clothes for the big day. Myles did poop, also! He still had diarrhea today! :thumbsup2 Our party went well - I was able to fake being okay until everyone left. During the decorating, Lindsay's stepmom had to send me in to rest for awhile.

I felt sick on and off all day, but I made it through. I had to lay down for 20 min every 2 hrs - I went to bed at 9 last night - was up and down all night and didn't get up til 9:30 this am. I felt ill until late this afternoon when I finally ate a burger at FILs BBQ. Jim, my DH, was feeling yucky today, but he made it okay and says he's fine tonight.

Kara, you said it was a "zoo house" you are so right! :rotfl2: Every time we are going to have a big party here, or even at our previous house, something bad happens. We've had the dog throw up or poop just before our guests arrive, the deck fall off the house when our company arrived :scared1: , stopped up kitchen sink, death of a boy who was one of the family :(, death of DIL Dana's uncle during her college grad last year. So our flu bug was just a bump in the road compared to some days. I keep saying I won't have parties again, but I keep doing it. :confused3

Thanks, everyone for your advice for Myles - he is 3 1/2 BTW. I know its confusing with all 3 babies, and two of them starting with M. Myles is 3, Londynn is 1 and belong to Mark and Lindsay, who live with us. Mason is 1 and belongs to Ryan and Dana, who don't live with us.

Kara, a scorpion in your comforter! :scared1: I am so creeped out!
Tina and Pam, your snake stories - :faint: I'm glad we haven't had them here.

Whipperwrl - welcome! We love to listen and we love to help you plan!
Erin! Yeah! A trip to plan!
Tessa, glad your back is better!
Cammie, your shirts turned out great!!!! :thumbsup2
Renee, your storm! Hope you don't find more damage.

Debbie! WELCOME BACK! I can't wait to hear about your trip! Great score on the Disney store! Cammie comandeered the smileys while you were gone. You may have to have a "smile off" :lmao:

Hi Jillian! Hi Laura!

OMG! Who knew how right I was about the "zoo?" That's some seriously bad things that have happened! Remind me to decline all party invitations to your house! :rotfl:

OK, uneventful weekend around here. Except I had to turn into a raging maniac yesterday because I asked Jeff to do like 3 things this weekend and none of them got done. And as I was doing laundry, I see all his pocket stuff that he empties out and just dumps on our closet floor! So I pick it up (to vacuum in there) and stuff in his shoes that he's wearing today! :rotfl2: He wasn't too happy about that, but I think I made my point. ;)

Tessa, I made leaky mash yesterday and it was sooooo yummy! I couldn't get the mixture to get crispy though but Jeff said that was because I was using a non-stick pan. But it was still really tasty! Thank you! I mixed in sour cream, and garlic too.

Then Jeff made steaks with a gorgonzola sauce (like he had at Mama Melrose!) and it was heavenly! Ally made the salad and I made a peach cobbler for dessert! But it was a rainy day so we didn't do too much else but lay around.

We went through a couple of open houses in the neighborhood on Saturday and I found a great color that Jeff and I both really liked for our bedroom. So tomorrow night I'll go get paint and get that room painted later this week. And I'm putting away every penny I can right now so I can get this house retiled. The tile we have in the kitchen, foyer, and bathrooms is a smooth shiny tile that shows every water drop or footprint. It never looks clean. So I want to get a rougher textured tile in a darker color and also extend into some of the main walking areas in the house. The dog tracks in so much stuff from outside that the carpet in the family room is a mess! I know it will be a big job, but it will make me soooo much happier. Jeff, however, is NOT happy with this decision. I told him I'm going to do it next spring. He just gave me the "yes, dear."

OK, off to work now!

Tammie sounds like you had a busy weekend. I am sorry to hear you are not feeling so well.

Kara- You are too funny. I wish I could get Mike to clean up his side of the bed I have tried everything leaving the clothes on his side of the bed I have left them in the shower, but nothing works some days it feels like I have another kid:confused3

I am feeling better today and have Tabitha coming over to watch Badookie so I can SCRUB the house
chores012.gif
YUCKY MESS. I will be around I am going to wash the shirts so I can work on the transfers tonight.

Ya know, it's really the ONE big thing that ticks me off to no end! He just drops his stuff wherever and knows that I will clean up after him. I blame his mother for this!

Just a quick flyby - back is better now, so got some catching up to do with my girls....

Tessa

Glad your back is doing better!!!

Pam - I had posted the following a couple of days ago - seeing that you just asked what my plans are for our trip, I'm guessing you didn't see it. So here you go..............

Major migraine happening here at the moment I have a double ear infection and feel like crud.

Hope you feel better soon!

Tammie...Hope you are all on the mend too. We were all sick the last 2 weeks as well. Thank goodness it's done before WDW!

Ya know, it's really the ONE big thing that ticks me off to no end! He just drops his stuff wherever and knows that I will clean up after him. I blame his mother for this!

I broke my DH of that habit the frust month we were married. When he had no clean clothes to wear to work and no dinner every night..he got the hint. No he cleans better than me! He was the youngest of 4 kids and the was the only boy as well. So he was most defintely doted on. Not around here though!

YOU ARE MY HERO!!!! I've tried this though and it just doesn't work. Anything that doesn't get into the hamper (even if it is laying right in front of it), or any pants/shorts that have stuff still in the pockets, they don't get washed. But he's gotten tricky now - he'll just do his own laundry when he decides HE wants to pick up his stuff. Makes me so mad! I may try hiding the laundry detergent. I can be pretty devious when I want to.

But he wants me to give him a haircut tonight. I'm not doing it until all MY demands are met. Wow, sounds like a ransom or something! :rotfl2:

Hi all! I've running crazy today. Amanda is done with school tomorrow (well, not totally done; just off for two weeks then back for the month of July); I'm trying to get my errands for our trip done so I can give her my undivided attention these last few days before we go. Besides, I don't think it would be fair to drag her around doing errands for a trip she's not even coming on. My poor baby!:(

So, I've stopped my mail; booked a car service to the airport; and shipped my box of water and snacks to the resort. We're movin' & groovin'!

I felt sick on and off all day, but I made it through. I had to lay down for 20 min every 2 hrs - I went to bed at 9 last night - was up and down all night and didn't get up til 9:30 this am. Glad to hear the graduation weekend went relatively well. Sorry to hear about all the illnesses though! Hopefully everyone will be feeling 100% by the time of your trip!

I normally only schedule 2 park days maybe 3 and then we go with the flow the other days. My brain needs those down days! I like your tshirts , BTW.

I do love those down days. When we take our annual family trip, I always schedule two pool days; but with this being just Lauren and I, the plan is to go, go, go! Who needs sleep anyway?

On the early MK day, are you getting there for rope drop? We've never done that before and that's what we're planning. We figure we'll hit the rides in Fantasyland in the early hour; then head over to Frontier and Adventureland when the park officially opens. I think we'll be out of there by noon though. The day you check into the Beach Club is the day we're having dinner at The Yachtsman - thinks it's around 5:30. When I respond the emails from you guys, I'll give you my cell phone #; we should be able to do a quick DIS meet somewhere!

Why not hide the clothes he leaves lying around?

Does Amanda understand that she's not going on this trip? Is she staying with her Dad?

I've actually bagged up Jeff's clothes - and mixed the clean and dirty - and thrown in the garage. When he comes looking for something, that's when I tell him where it is. I've done it twice and each time he hit the ceiling! BUT he kept his stuff cleaner for a few weeks. Then back to his sloppy self!

Love the shirts BTW!!!!! :thumbsup2 Ya done good kiddo!

Lauren and I LIKE to think Amanda has a basic understanding of things; but no one really knows for sure what she does or does not understand. I just talk to her like she does and what goes through that cute little head of hers is anybody's guess!;)

And, yes, my ex will be taking care of her. Originally, I had it worked out they the nurses that help in the home would take turns staying with her. They all offered to put in the extra time for me and it was really nice of them. I hadn't planned on asking my ex because we got into a HUGE fight last summer when I took Lauren to London to visit our friends for two weeks. He was sooo mad I was going to be gone for that long; told me I shouldn't expect him to take off from work -- to watch his own daughter!!!:furious: I told him to suck it up and did it anyway! :snooty: But I was determined not to get his help with this trip; once he heard about it, he offered to take her. In the end, I do think Amanda is better off with her father - the nurses will help him a little so he can get some work done. It is a load off my mind that she will be with him.

Men ARE overgrown children!

I'm very happy with the shirts. Now I'm all fired up to do more!

I'm so tired today. Got an email this AM before our 10 am playdate that my neighbors niece's friend had her house burn. They got out at night in PJs - no shoes even. They had 10 kids!!!! OMG - ten kids - I couldn't imagine - with or without a fire. I've been going through all my stuff and the kids things to see what gaps we can fill. I'm "encouraging" Nicolas to go through his 1000000000 toys. He said he doesn't have anything to give. :worried: He is a good hearted little kid - stops to console others when they cry, etc, but parting with his toys (outside of for his beloved sister, whom he gives EVERYTHING to first) is just too much. I'm hoping he changes his mind today, but I really want to leave it up to him.

So tomorrow we are hosting the playdate. What was another little boy morphed into a boy, and three girls :scared1: We're ordering pizza for lunch - it should be quite interesting! I just cleaned our play room. I'm doing like a kid and pitching everything in our bedroom. I just decided to LOCK the door :rolleyes1 and the rest should be fairly easy - quick dust, quick sweep, clean a bathroom, clean the kitchen, pick up the kids rooms, - I'm nuts, aren't I????

!
I'm glad that you and Lauren take that approach. My DGM was always so "she can't do that" with my aunt. Know what - sometimes she COULD, and I saw her, until she heard that from my DGM, and then she'd do it no more. Point is -like you said, it is anybody's guess, but why not look at the positive side. You are such an awesome mom - and Lauren is a good sister. ;)
I'm going to credit you with that one!

I'm very happy with the shirts. Now I'm all fired up to do more!

Yup, that's what happened to me and I ended up doing 3 family shirts, plus 2 extras for the kids, plus all the other garbage! It's addicting!

sounds like we are all normal. Everything is crazy  and running at hyper speed. :hyper:

Pam and Cammie I am counting the days for you. I love thinking about that excitement I had just before I left. Love the shirts BTW. Glad to hear Ex is stepping up and helping out with Lauren.

kara- tim is a pig and he will gladly admit it. I am sitting in "his" office in the house which is PACKED full of computer stuff. Last time I cleaned it I heard about it for months that I lost a USB drive. (turns out he left it in his pants pocket) so I am not touching it. I do have to apologize to people when they see it but I explain that it is Tim's space not mine. I do still pick up after him in the more common areas of the house. Beth is starting to take after Tim. I think if it keeps up I will have to institute the penny rule. My mom made us pay a penny for everything she had to pick up. She kept it in a large bag in the back of the van. We didn't get an allowance so a penny was a big deal to us. it seemed to work.

Jillian you are so nice to find things for those people. My heart goes out to them. I can't imagine lossing everything.

Hi Debbie!

Cammie...don't forget to stop your newspaper too. I will PM you my cell#. Have you eaten at the Yachtman before? Dh and I are going there for a very rare moment to ourselves and have never been. I was wondering how good it is. We loved Narcossees last year.

This trip is coming up so fast...and I have sooo much to do. I hope the trip itself goes slow.

It's nice you are taking Lauren and spending time with her seperately. It reminds me that I should do the same with my older DD as well. I will have to do a shopping trip with her and lunch at her favorite: The Cheesecake Factory. She's always helping out with her younger sister so I should do something nice for her.

We've always done AM EMH (at the rope drop) at MK (have done Epcot as well). I don't really like getting up early, but it is really worth it. We get to go on a lot of rides without a wait. And we're not really running to get to the rides either (except FPs for SM). I need to plan out my park days yet.

Have to run....and pack.

Hi to all!!!!!!

YSH is so Yummy a little stuffy we prefer CG,but it is very good. I got the ribeye and Mike got the Filet both were so very very good. If you like spinich the creamed spinich is yummy too.

Cammie- I was always afraid to ask you about Amanda and what her capabilites are. You are such a great MOM Like Laura I worked in a PEDI ER for 5 years and have dealt with alot of parents that just come in and leave their children and depend on the Nurses ALL of the time. You are amazing.

Debbie- You are too Funny my wireless always goes down and it is ALWAYS that dumb problem I had to call the comcast tech to figure it out. :headache:

Kara- How did your day go?

Well I was running a temp today of 102  and felt like crud shaking and the chills and yuck and Badookie is teething so he was
cry.gif
