Cammie- Too cute! I love the hairdo can I ask you how much it cost? PM me if you don't want to say. I was thinking my sis would love that She said she is too old for BBB. The weather seems the same as when we were there. HOT HOT HOT and then Rain Rain Rain, but always so much fun.

Tammie- Happy Birthday!!!!

I will around most of the day today. Making shirts for Sis (Tabitha)

Hey Jillian!

What Lauren got was a half-hair braid. It was $55; had it done at the GF salon. We cancelled the spa pedicures we had scheduled for our last day; thought we would get our money's worth out this instead. It worked great! It was a no-fuss hairdo for the whole time we were there. Seriously, I'm considering getting it done for myself when we go in Nov. (they can leave out the bangs. I NEED MY BANGS!)

You know, I made two sets of t-shirts for Lauren and I to wear. We only wore one set - the white ones. It was so hot, neither one of us could stand to wear anything that had sleeves! I knew I should have made the tank tops!:headache:

Cammie- Thank You I will have to book that for her in November. She will love it. She is a no muss kind of gal.

Just wanted to drop by and say hello. Tomorrow is our last day. :sad1:

Didn't get to meet up with Cammie unfortunately. I think we were both in different areas at the same times and we were on rides while they were waiting and I kept having phone issues and we had a garden grocer incident too. Cammie, I am impressed on how fast you got your pics up. They are so cute! We have been sooo exhausted. I am glad DH has the rest of the week off when we get back on Tuesday.

Catch up with you later!!!

Pam

Hey Pam! I just PM'd you. Need to hear about the Garden Grocer incident though! I was going to use them for our Nov.trip - do tell!

Have a good day tomorrow!

Jillian - You're sister is adorable!:cutie: That half-braid hairstyle will work great for her!

And Badookie.......such a cutie-patootie!

Erin - I'm so with you on this one.... we also drink a lot of tea, but my house is a bit of a tip - kitchen and loo always sparkle, but the rest gets hidden beneath an ever increasing mountain of clutter.... I just take the view that anyone who looks like they disapprove doesn't get invited back....;). I hate it when people just turn up on my doorstep - if I ask someone back for a cuppa after the school run, then you can be sure I hoovered yesterday...

I do not let anyone in unannounced :lmao: except my mum and my best friend hahaha my mum is also not a neat freak so i guess that's where i get it from and my bf who is a neat freak loves me for who i am and helps me with my housework ... oh how i love her

OK, this cracks me up - first the hair - yikes! You're too funny, Tessa!

And the "loo" and "cuppa." Ah, we speak the same language, and yet so different!

Hahha i love the differences in language we must think of more

Good morning ladies! It's day 2 of my post-vacation blues. I miss being there so much! I think I have a problem.

Oh Cammie i am with you on the post holiday blues i get it too after every holiday

Day 2 had us sleeping in until around 10 and then heading to the pool for the day; on to DTD in the evening for shopping and dinner at Ragland Road (which was AWESOME, BTW; Erin - great recommendation!:thumbsup2 ) I'll have pix of all this in my TR.

So glad you enjoyed Raglan Road .. what did you have?? I've decided i must go there every trip from now on hahahahaha :rotfl:

Glad to have you back Cammie even though we all know where you'd rather be ... Loving the pics and can't wait for the TR

Hiya - just a quick fly by, July is a busy month for us.....(I know today is still June, but the busy kind of leaks round the edges...)

Just wanted to say, love the pics and update on the trip Cammie - I love to read about other's trips, makes it all seem like we are back there..... I wish my girls could have their hair like that, but they have inherited my thin weedy hair - when they have a single plait down their backs it looks like a bit of string!!!

Tessa

First of all, Happy Bday Tammie!

Second of all, Cammie, lovin all your pics and stories. So sad you're back already but sounds like you had a great time. I think y'all were smart to do some things that you can't do when Amanda is with you. The day you had really bad storms, I remember that day cause we had them here too and I checked the radar for Orlando and thought of you. But without little ones, a few rain showers don't hurt too much, luckily they can clear out the parks sometimes. So sorry you couldn't meet up with Pam.

Loved Lauren't braids! I may do that for Ally in November. She's at that age where she won't let me do much with her hair and it just hangs there. Luckily it's nice and thick so it hangs pretty, but I just get sick of seeing it like that. It's bleaching out so much from the Florida sun!

So did you love WL or are you still a BW gal?

Well, our friends arrived Saturday afternoon - sat up that night waaaaay too late drinking. Then yesterday we went to the pool for a couple of hours until the storms started rolling in. Jeff had gone fishing Saturday so we had some fresh red snapper for dinner last night - he's such a good cook!

My Brazilians got the pavers all laid out, so we moved our new furniture out there yesterday, even though they still have to come back today to pour the sand and basically finish the job. I guess they can just move the furniture out into the yard to finish. After all, they said they'd be here yesterday so we were hoping that while we were at the pool they'd be at the house finishing, but they never showed.

I'll post some "during" pics of the backyard project. Since the pavers are basically done, next they start on the summer kitchen and finish up with the screen enclosure. Sitting out there last night I was really missing the screen - lots of bugs, especially the noseeums. Pesky things!

I'll check back in later - hopefully to see Cammie's got her TR started!

OMG! I'm going to pull my hair out by the end of the week.

So we have our good friends visiting from SC, right? They brought their dog, who is 15 years old, and let me just say that it's Bella revisited! She is messing EVERYWHERE and it's not pretty! I'm finding piddle spots everywhere, and of course they're following her around to clean up the nasty stuff. So today they're going to the zoo so they just put her in the bathroom which is tiled. Bucky is leaving her alone, I think he understands that she's old.

Then the kids are running around, screaming this morning while I'm trying to work. My girlfriend is not an early riser on vacation (we rented a house on Hilton Head Island last year with them so I know this!) so her DH is up with the kids every morning. On a side note, her DH does pretty much everything for the kids. But I still love her, even if she is extremely demanding and selfish. Ally is at summer camp and they're still hanging around. I really hope they're gone until around 5 so I can work in peace. But they're forecasting storms again this afternoon so who knows when they'll be back.

This is going to be a very trying week I can tell. I'm off on Thursday and Friday, so if I can just make it til then I should be okay.......

I had planned on making a dinner out of two appys - the Dalkey Duo and the Drunken Chicken. Well, they've changed the menu and removed the Drunken Chicken!!!:scared1: Our waitress Devon, who was a doll, pointed out the replacement which was chicken and zucchini on skewers with a yogurt sauce. Sorry, DOES NOT sound like a suitable replacement! I had a wonderful chicken dish and, of course, got the bread pudding - which I think is now my all-time favorite dessert at WDW! I've posted pix on the food porn thread but will also put in my TR - which, btw, I WILL start today!

Just wanted to say, love the pics and update on the trip Cammie - I love to read about other's trips, makes it all seem like we are back there..... Lauren has hair like mine - very thick; which is nice usually, but not during hot and muggy season! I swear, I wish I could have gotten the braids myself. My hair was a mess all week!

So did you love WL or are you still a BW gal?

The storm on thursday was WICKED! I've never seen it thunder and lightning like that! The timing worked out well for us though; we had just gotten out of the pool and were back at the room getting ready to head out for dinner. It delayed us going out for a little while; once the lightning stopped, we had no problem walking out in the rain.

The braids are our new must-do! I consider it Lauren's BBB for pre-teens! The CM even sprayed some pixie-dust in her hair when she was done! The good thing about this hair-do is that it lasts for weeks!

We loved the WL for the two of us but, have to admit, we're still BW snobs at heart! Do you know the two nights we went to Epcot, we took a cab over to BW just so we could walk around and then go in thru IG? I LOVE entering Epcot that way. And, I've said it before and I'll say it again, those MK resorts are great to go to MK, but suck to get anywhere else! Staying at the GF, I understand why you hate doing the buses, Debbie - they're awful! Our WL bus would always make the GF is 2nd stop heading to AK or DHS; we'd have a full bus - which would leaving standing room only for GF guests - I'd be sooo pissed! As for the end of the night, WL bus lines were consistently the longest lines out there - we'd go 20 minutes without a bus while other resorts were getting one after another. I just don't think the buses are that bad at the BW area.[/QUOTE]

I'll check back in later - hopefully to see Cammie's got her TR started!

I will - I'm just stuck on a title!:confused3

Cammie- Your hair looks like mine I could never ever wear it down in the sun. If the humidity hits it it becomes wavy and curly and HUGE.I always wear it in a pony when I am out and about in the florida sun.

Well went to pick stawberries today and they were all gone Tabitha was very disappointed. We did get to go to the petting zoo though that made her and Badookie very happy.

Kara- I HATE having guests. You guys would be okay ;) but no one else. I always feel like I have to walk around the house quiet and I wear one of Mike's t shirts to bed and When I have guests I always have to wear PJ's and a robe. Plus I am always cleaning.

Thanks for checking in...I saw you on line last night and was hoping you had time to post. Enjoy your last day and can't wait to see pix and hear about the trip!!!!

This is why we are such brats that even though we are on the monorail we rent a car!! Thank God for the disboards though and we have always gotten a sweet deal on one!

I have only heard great things about WL but I understand always craving
your "home away from home favorite".

Hi to everyone else. We are going to Wisco later this week so I have to get stuff done today and tomorrow!!! I think we are going to go up there Wednesday to Wednesday (weather permitting).

I love that I can do spell check on the boards but REALLY wish it would learn all our lingo and abbreviations. I suck at typing and spelling!

Kara...I can only imagine...
Hey, I keep meaning to tell you that anytime you mention the Brazilians all I can think of is you getting waxed!:rotfl2:

Jillian - BTW, I love seeing pics of Badookie - he is just too darn cute!!!! I don't know what it is about that little guy but he just makes me smile!

Normally I don't mind having guests, but my girlfriend is extremely high maintenance. Her poor DH does all the work, and it drives Jeff and I nuts to see. "Go change the baby...." "Get me another drink...." And there's never a please or thank you attached. We have just gotten used to it I guess so we ignore it. But yesterday when she got up (she's always the last one up because of a headache or some other ailment) she asked if she could buy us some blinds for that guest room window. We intentionally didn't put up blinds because the window looks into the woods. We only put up blinds on all the front windows. But she can't sleep when the sun comes up. So we went out and bought blinds. I guess the sun just doesn't bother me, plus I'm always up with the sun anyway. But it probably is a pain up there for other guests and they just haven't said anything. But this chick speaks her mind. Sometimes I just have to keep my mouth shut.

This is the first time we've ever had these friends stay in our house, since we used to live in the same town. But I spent over $200 on groceries for this week, and she wanted to go to the store yesterday because there were certain things she wanted. Which is fine. And she paid for it yesterday. Fine. But when I go even to my parents house, if they have Diet Coke and it's caffeine free, I'll still drink it. But I bought 5 different cases of soda, and she wasn't happy with any of them. Sometimes I think it's more considerate to just keep your mouth shut and accept the hospitality, ya know?

OK, rant over. Cammie, where is your TR?????

I've got the mother of all cramps today, so I just crawled into bed for an hour and a half. Didn't fall asleep too deep so I feel better now. My Brazilians haven't shown up to finish the patio so I'm a little miffed about that. I want to get all my new furniture moved out there!!!!

Tammie and Pam, if you're checking in, we miss you!!!!!
