that's not funny. Tim and my dad are headed to Canada to go fishing over the 4th and they are really worried that they will have to bring some winter gear.

OK, I now know what the Osborne Lights are! I thought it was just extra lights all over DHS. Hmmmm. I can see why you are bummed, I never thought about how that would affect Amanda so well!

Oh, Laura, my dad said it snowed on his graduation day in Aberdeen, SD the first weekend in June! My uncle and I are super close and always joke about the weather. It's funny now because am in the furthest state south and he's just about the furthest north!!!!

Erin - good to know about Raglan Road - I think Cammie's heading there in a couple of weeks, too. I just like the idea of Irish Pub food (and ale!!!!).

Oh, did I tell you guys that last time we were in Epcot, Jeff and I had to use the right accents depending on which country we were in in World Showcase! It was hysterical! Except that the only accent I can do is Apu from the Simpsons! We started by ordering a pint of Ale in the UK, I had that one down, sounded like Eliza Doolittle there. Then on to Canada where I sounded like the two hozers, eh? Bob and Doug McKenzie. Then France? Forget it! It was in Morocco that it all went downhill. I was Apu after that!

Yes, he's still alive - their tails regenerate! It's a defense mechanism to lose their tails like that so they can get away (from over rambuctious puppies!). Maybe I'll have Ally chase him away. She has them all named anyway - well, she thinks there's only two - Fred and Lucy. I'll just tell her this is their cousin Marvin or something! How sad am I? Trying to find a way for my 7 year old daughter to get the lizard off the porch?

It's official - the Osbourne Christmas Lights will not be starting until the day AFTER Thanksgiving!!!!!!

Laura - I'm all for mending fences; but, after seven years, what's the point? I know that may sound harsh, but it sounded incredibly harsh of your friend to just end the relationship the way she did with no explanation. Honestly, I have a hard enough time staying in touch with my college friends that I still get along with; don't know if, at this point in my life, I would go searching out someone to renew a friendship with. Sometimes it's just best to let sleeping dogs lay. But, on the other hand, sending a congrats note is harmless enough; just will have to be prepared if you don't get the type of response you're hoping for.

(I guess I'm a little cynical; guess that's what living in the Northeast does to a girl! )

Jillian - Where did you get t-shirts? I went to WalMart on Monday. Tammie had told me about their ribbed tank tops. I might get them but, ideally, I would like a sleeveless v-neck t-shirt.(I know, I'm putting waaaaay too much thought into these shirts!) I want to get the shirts done this weekend. I've already purchased the transfer paper. So look out, ladies - you may be seeing some desperate posts from me this weekend when I start having problems with this!

And, while we're on the subject - Tammie, you'll appreciate this - I show Lauren the Mickey ear designs that Tammie helped me with. She thought they were so cool and wanted to know how she did it. So I copied a blank mickey ear design and asked her if she knew about Microsoft Paint. She says, "No, but I'm sure I can figure it out!" Well, it took that little geek 10 MINUTES to get a name in the design - the right font, size and color!!!!! Good lord, why doesn't my brain work like that anymore? Anyway, I've told her she's now responsible for doing the shirts for the whole family for our Nov. trip!

Cammie - have you been on "Miss Cammie's" TR lately? Wow! It's gotten pretty heated over there. Some folks from the "other" site are over there bashing her (at least I think that's where they're from!). I can see some of what they're saying, but I don't think she's attacking the birth mother, more than just swaying some of her opinions to make the story more entertaining. But I remember what you said about it, with you being in the shoes of the mother, and I can totally see it now when I read it. Sometimes I read it and I'm like, "hmmm, wonder what the mother would say about that...." Or, "hmmm, wonder what the REAL Cammie (that's you! ) would say about that..." All that being said, I do think she rights an awesome report, and she sounds like a great stepmom.

I know - I was reading this a.m. Who knows who anybody is anymore or where they're from. It's just sad that the thread seems to have been hijacked.

My opinion? I started reading her TR and found it entertaining - she's a very good writer. I just found myself cringing on some of her references to the birth mother and "the other house", as she puts it. Personally, it turned me off. But - I don't know her, don't know the birth mother - what do I care? It may or may not be true. We really don't know if what anybody writes is true. What I do find a little suspect though is that this trip took place LAST August and she's still writing and quoting dialogue - I found it all a little hard to believe. So I stopped following it. It just amazes me that people who have a problem with it feel justified in slamming her. If they think the TR is pure BS - they should STOP READING IT! Those people are bullies - pure and simple!

Okay, I have been thinking about that Miss Cammie, too! I think it's really mean of people to bad mouth her. Someone was being really sensitive, I guess, or just causing trouble. She is voicing her opinion about the mom and what she feels about the children's environment. Just her opinion. I can see, though, how it could look from the mom's point of view. Even though I know she cares about the kids, I feel like she is somehow making them feel "less than" with all her complaints about their habits and their homelife, and they aren't allowed to speak to her until they say, "good morning" and they have to call her Miss Cammie Of course we aren't quite so polite in the West, either. I also think the same as you two, that the conversations sound a little too contrived, and maybe she should write a novel!

OK, ya got me on that one. Someone (I think Renee) said that it was my goal to meet everyone on our thread - hmmmm, she may be on to something! First Laura, Debbie in Sept, and Cammie and Jillian in November! Now I need to get everyone else out here!

I just had a very scary adventure (almost like Snow White! ) - I let Bucky out and he ran to something on the back porch - it was blackish grey, slimy, and squiggled! I grabbed him and threw him in the house. Then I saw IT - the tail, no longer attached to whatever it came from, just writhing on the ground. So I called Jeff. He said "welcome to Florida" (jerk!). I told him I didn't know if it was a snake or a lizard and he asked me if it had shoulders (double jerk!). So I called my neighbor, right as he pulled into my driveway - he checked it out and found a lizard missing his tail! But it wasn't the "usual" lizard that we see here. It's bluish black, slimy looking. And he has no tail. Anymore. Thanx to Bucky. But he's still on my back porch! And creeping me out! My neighbor told me to let Bucky out to kill it. But knowing this dog, he'll eat it! I'm totally freaking now. I can't let the dog out (unless I take him out front on his leash), and there's a tailless lizard in control of my porch! I don't know what to do!!!!!!!!

I'll be there in March!

As for the lizard! He's waiting out there for revenge! Send the dog back out! Really, I don't think the lizards will hurt anyone. of course, I like lizards and frogs, just kill all the snakes!

the whole water thing has me baffled. I guess I am just used to seeing "fresh" water every where. 15,000 lakes will do that to you.

Okay I have a dilema... a few years ago I had a falling out with friend from college. I actually introduced her and her husband. Tim and I were in the wedding. I apparently said something that upset her on her wedding day. To this day I don't know what I said. I have heard through the grape vine it was something about the bachelor party. Anyway this was 7 yrs ago. We haven't spoken since that night. I did get an e-mail on Sept 11, 2001 saying she really didn't want anything to do with me again. ( I remember the date because got the e-mail before I heard all of that bad news) To add to the trouble I was pregnant at the time. Yesterday I got a newsletter from college that she got a really big promotion. I don't have her e-mail address to send her a note but I can figure it out. The question is do I send a note of congratulations and say hope all is well or do I let it go. I had been letting it go for the last 7 yrs but I saw her name and it reminded me of what happened. I truely feel bad and I want to make it right but I don't know how. ughhh!

Maybe since it was something about the bachelor party she was just insecure about something. I'll bet if you send a card and tell her you've both grown up and you would like to catch up again, she'll at least email you back.

They are showing the packing right now He had to rent a trailer for all of their stuff! She had a countdown calendar that had a WDW agenda on the end - boy, could us over planning worry warts and control freaks have fun planning their trip!

I think I am living in a rainforest. I just won't stop raining. My pond is starting to overflow in the backyard. Keeping my fingers crossed it clears up today.

Tammie - March, huh? I can do that!!!!! We came down this year for a weekend in March, so if we go in November, it might be time for a quick trip in March!

The lizard on the back porch was a SKINK, according to one of the guys that runs summer camp. He described it perfectly, said they are totally harmless and have no teeth! I told Jeff next time I WILL just let Bucky out to have his way with them. And I don't know what happened to this one. I hunted for him last night on the porch but I think he got out. Whew!

Just had a little scare though (7am is TOOOOO early for this!) when I went down the street to let my neighbor's dog out. I go in the house and I hear "beep beep beep." Great! They have an alarm and didn't tell me! So I take big ole Baxter, their golden retreiver, out to do his bidness. When I come in, still "beep beep beep." All I can think is that surely the police won't handcuff me and haul me off. After all, if I were there to rob them, would I have pulled up in a golf cart in my pajamas??? I hadn't even brushed me teeth yet!!! So I stopped and listened and it was the alarm CLOCK in the bedroom. Whew! So I won't need any of you to bake me a cake with a file in it! But thanks for the offer!

Then, I pull the golf cart into the garage, step out and see (literally!) the BIGGEST spider I've ever seen in my LIFE! Why do I keep capitalizing words??? Anywho.... I know I've said this before, but they just keep getting bigger! This one was seriously about as big in diameter (legs included) as a softball, and the body alone was about the diameter of just smaller than a golf ball (barely smaller!). It was horrible! I told Jeff if I would have stepped on it it would have thrown me off balance!!! Oh, how I hate Florida!!!!!

Had to check in on my Osbourne Lights thread to see if anything changed. Not looking good - the official opening is still Nov.28th. I'm now keeping my fingers crossed that will have some sort of previews during the week we're there. I know they previewed the Toy Story Mania ride for APholders a few weeks before it officially opened. Hope they do the same with the lights!

Tammie - Lauren and I LOVE Jon & Kate + 8! They didn't show enough of WDW though. But honeslty, I think that Kate would give us control freaks a run for our money!

Laura, keep an eye on that pond! There is just so much flooding going on up there! Then I saw that a tornado killed 4 at a boy scout camp in Nebraska yesterday. This has been such a bad storm season!
