Okay, I'm done whining - back to my train ride!
We made it over to Thunder Mountain railroad (that's really the name) for our Oktoberfest train ride along the Payette River.
The CM who took our tickets - really friendly!
Jim and Jeff enjoying an English beer
They were playing the traditional German music, including the infamous "Chicken Dance" throughout the day.
We spent the afternoon in this bar car - empty except for us and a fun family who did Kareoke behind us on the ride back
This car looks fun when it's not cold out
This car had original seats from the 60's if you wanted to sit there - it smelled really bad. No thanks.
Most of my pics turned out like this - focus on the raindrops:
Original depot
This is the same river we rafted on before - these kayakers were waving their paddles at us as we went by on the way back to the station
The family in the back of our car was really funny. There were about 10 of them. They asked for the Karoeke machine and then argued about what to sing until the ride was almost over!
We had a great day and were glad we did this train ride!
My next report will be the zoo and the pirate dinner! My adventures here are almost over, but I'll be at the Oregon Coast next week - I'm sure I'll get some good pics there!

Just need to give the guy a hug and let him know he's more important ... been there....
Start your list making engines!
Seriously.
, but I don't like to leave those up as long as I do the Christmas stuff....We need to decide what suitcases we are taking, I need to squeeze in a haircut and color before we go.
Panic is setting in...
Yes, most of us are serious worriers. I was in church one time worrying about how it will be in heaven not to worry about anything!
Now, I'm wondering, first you told Debbie that DH wouldn't feel you had time to see her, now you are wondering where she is...what happened?

It's shocking really when you look at her scores she got when we had her tested for her ILA - very high like she should skip a grade. I think she was pushed down so much and told she was dumb for so long she believed it and now doesn't want to try. I struggled with her last night to do 3 overdo assignments - thank you teacher for calling me to alert me - she just could apply the skills and take it to the next step. The teacher told us to read more and maybe get her an electronic dictionary to help her. That surprised me too because we do grade 5 & 6 sight word flash cards every day and she does great. But I watched her struggle with words like example and poured. Hope and positive attitude that's what I'm going to focus on this weekend.
Don't even get me started!) to go to Party City to get stuff for goodie bags for 30 clarinet players and 6 bass clarinet players, then put them together last night. I wanted to do it earlier in the week, but something was going on almost every night, and I didn't feel like it afterwards. Served me right for having to do it last minute! Just call me The Procrastinator!

I've only slept 4 hours - I don't know why I'm up. Hope you have a good day - looks busy. I would just give yourself permission to do the half day you have time for and don't feel guilty. Sounds like there's plenty of help!
