Looking for Control Freaks & Worry Warts - Part 4!!!

Tessa! Your family is beautiful, and you're looking pretty sexy yourself!:thumbsup2
And our wet suits kept us warm - really we were okay! Well, I have to confess I did pee in the bushes, but I didn't see any bugs, only some other rafters coming down the river laughing at me - oh well, I don't know them:rotfl2:

Erin, I think your family will need its own bus in the world! :lmao:

Debbie, it's nice to see you getting back into your routine. Sorry you're still dealing with the grief. I'm proud of you for sticking with the de-clutter. I steamed about everything in my house - need to do the kitchen windows when I get back. (Remember our pact?)

Shelly, thanks for the painting advice. I just got a picture of you in my head, pregnant and all, diving head first into that pie and coming up with a purple face! :rotfl: Enjoy your time to yourself before baby!

Lorrie, you are so sweet and so giving. I hope your head feels better. Hey, we're tough in the West! :lmao:

Jillian, hope you feel better.

Tina, have fun at AG today! Stick to your guns. And men are dumb - we just gotta love 'em anyway.

Hi to all you other beautiful ladies - I have to get to bed - I've spent about 10 hrs on organizing emails so I can get iContact and do a blog - prepare to be blogged! If you want to "opt out" it won't hurt my feelings - just doing my homework.

I'm going to a big Arbonne seminar tomorrow - I'm excited to meet girls here in Boise! Sunday is our anniversary - some of the places we wanted to go for dinner are closed on Sundays, so I think we'll end up at Joe's Crab Shack - I wanted romantic, but it is on the river!:goodvibes

Okay, good night. I'll try to get the DL pics up tomorrow!

Hiya all,

Erin - yep - that was Cornwall last week of the school hols - my girls must have skin like alligators.... air was warm, but water was freezing! Hence we hired wetsuits for the rest of the week. More so we didn't feel bad than them wanting them!!

My girls seem to be loving school right now - both come out happy and smiling, full of news about their day - littlest got "star of the week" first week back!! I was apprehensive about her since they shuffled the classes and she was split from some of her friends - also has a teacher who is new to the school! So this shows the teacher knows she is a "good girl" (it was for focussing on her work and listening well) and takes a big weight off my mind... we do worry about and for them don't we!!

I'm back on track on the diet now - have been eating too much cr** on holidays, now need to focus on the good stuff. Hopefully will show a weight loss on Monday.

Tessa

Will catch up later today.

Please encourage me from strangling a mouthy 16 year old.:headache:

Erin, I think your family will need its own bus in the world! :lmao:

Hahhhah tell me about it Tammie although think it may be 1 bus and 1 small car just for my soon to be SIL as i think there could be trouble ahead, batten down the hatches is all i can say!!

Fab i love Cornwall, where abouts did you stay?
Glad the girls are loving school and your younger Dd's teacher worked out ok

Will catch up later today.

Please encourage me from strangling a mouthy 16 year old.:headache:

Ok Pam sending hugs and patience heehee

Tina - Glad to hear that DD's rash is better. We worry so much about our kids. Men - what would we do w/out them?! Ha. I hope that you have fun at the AG store! We haven't been to ours in awhile. I am due for a trip! I think I enjoy it just as much as the girls. I have my own Bitty Baby, which I buy outfits for. It's the third baby I didn't have. Actually, I am saving it for my grandkids, and any other little girl who visits our house. I want to eventually get a cute little bassinet to keep her in. I wish I had your sewing talent!

Erin - Ha about your FSIL's own car! Make her walk! (F being future, not what you might be thinking I meant! :)) I know CJ isn't just starting middle school. What was I thinking? I wasn't, actually. I just thought that's what you said and I responded. But, high school?? I didn't realize she was starting high school next year. Thanks for the wish for patience. I really do have good girls. It's just that when they are grouchy, they take it out on me. Getting up at 5 every day, and even on a Saturday!, takes it's toll. Megan is a night owl, so she is getting very little sleep right now. Once marching band season is over, it will be better. I couldn't answer your Ohana question, glad others did, but what is a arvo??

Tammie - I love your rafting pictures. How fun! You are very adventurous! It was like Where's Waldo, trying to find you in those pictures! There were lots of people! What's an Eddy? We love Joe's! Have a wonderful anniversary! How many years?

Tessa - Those are great pics, and you have a beautiful family! Your girls look so much alike, almost like twins in the pics. That is so awesome about your weight loss, and getting back on track. You want a job? Are you willing to relocate? You can have mine! I've been so unhappy there lately. Glad to hear that your girls are thriving in school.

Lorrie - Yucko about the car troubles and money put out for them. That is the worst kind of money to spend. Good for you on the eBay finds. I haven't bought much on eBay. I am afraid to buy clothes, but have a friend that does all of the time and does well w/it. Do you all have Craig's List? Have you tried that? It seems like that would be better because they are local people, and you could try the clothes on.

Debbie - I just loaded Firefox, too, just last night! The WDW itinerary thing doesn't work w/IE, so that was my incentive. It did let me transfer over our favorites, etc. from IE, so that was good for us. It seems much faster to me, but we'll see. I think a day in WDW is a splendid idea! I hope that you get to do that! Have you all thought about a rescue dog or puppy for your mom? It really will help her heal. My house is a cluttery mess, too. I am a pack rat. I ALWAYS have clean, folded laundry on my coffee table and couch. My family ALWAYS has to dig clean socks and underwear from a laundry basket. You are not alone. When I am down about it and say something, Taylor tells me - "It's alright, Mom. We have a lot of love in our house and have a lot of fun. That's all that matters.". I think I must have said that once or twice or a hundred times when they were little and she is brainwashed. :rotfl2: I truly do believe that! The kids won't remember that, but will remember the good times.

Shelly - Grape pie? Yum. I need to Google that. I've never heard of it, but I haven't met very many pies I don't like! I know you were sad about leaving work, but congrats. I think that it's a great thing, being able to stay home and raise your kids. I would do it in a heartbeat if Darrin and I agreed on it. Enjoy your time w/your family.

Jillian - I hope that you feel better! I can't offer suggestion on the resorts. We have stayed at ASMo once, and POP all of our other trips. We love POP and don't spend the extra money to stay anywhere else. The other resorts look amazing, though. Have fun w/Luca's excitement!! Please let me know if I can send him a post card from Mickey Mouse (or anyone else!) in November.

If anyone else would like a postcard from WDW for their kiddos in Nov, let me know! I have most everyone's address.

Does DIS have a new spellcheck, or is that FF? I LOVE it!! I am a horrible speller!

Our football game was rained out last night, after we bought 4 tickets and a program. Uggh. They wouldn't let us into the stands because of thunder, then about 5 mins later, the rain came down and we stood under the stands for about 1 1/2 hrs! We gave up, then found out later the game was canceled. We had to go up to the school later to pick up Megan, who stayed dry in the band hall the entire time! It was an adventure. They will make it up next Fri, when were were supposed to have a bye week. I drove band carpool this AM, for a playathon that will probably be canceled due to rain. Haven't heard anything yet.

I have more to say, but will close this book for now and hop on to my 2nd fave website as of late - etsy. Tay just woke up and asked why I was typing so much on etsy! :lmao:

Good Morning. I should be getting ready, but I have to have my coffee, right?

Erin, trouble on the horizon?

Pam, I always have the laundry thing going on, too. Except here, cuz we don't have many clothes with us. That's the answer - get rid of the clothes!:rotfl2: An Eddy is a little calmer area off to the side - we were waiting for the photographers to have time to get further down river.

Rain in Texas? That must feel good - or is your area not in a drought?
I think the spellcheck is FF! What is etsy?

Debbie, maybe you could reload the FF? Mine brought everything over, too. I didn't try to load for multiple users, though. You might need to load it again on Mark's screen:confused3

Okay, gotta go! Happy Sat everyone!

Erin - Ha about your FSIL's own car! Make her walk! (F being future, not what you might be thinking I meant! :)) I know CJ isn't just starting middle school. What was I thinking? I wasn't, actually. Once marching band season is over, it will be better. I couldn't answer your Ohana question, glad others did, but what is a arvo??

Hhahahahah on the "F" Love it

I know is a scary thought hey, i mean i know she is only 10 1/2 and she has a whole school year until she starts Senior school but man alive it throws me, we used to start "high" school at 12 but they brought it forward to 11 and now cumpulsary education is to 17 where it used to be 16 .. most people stay to 18 but it was only cumpulsary to 16 ...

Wow getting up at 5 every day, what time does their school day start?? Bless the girls!

Hhahaha arvo is slang for afternoon, however it's not British slang just a little left over from my time in Australia hahahahha

Good Morning. I should be getting ready, but I have to have my coffee, right?

Erin, trouble on the horizon?

Well possibly hahahhaa
I do like her however she is a huge sulker, a trait i struggle with in a child let alone a 28 yr old woman especially when she's doing it for a week on a holiday that my parents have paid for, for her and her child, she says she doesn't like holidays, again absolutely fine however not to my mum who has just paid for a holiday for her and will be helping them out financially to go to WDW in Feb, to me it's rude and disrespectful to my parents who are very very good parents and parents in law!!
Anywho ... needless to say we could be in for fun times in feb with all the different dynamics and personalities and a major sulker to top it all off!!!!!

Happy Saturday!!

So we're back from AG OMG what a crazy store! Brought my Mom and she spent almost the entire time saying Oh My, Oh My. Yeah - you'd never know there was a problem with the economy from that store. Well there was an hour wait for the hair - over 15 dolls - $20 each doll per hour think about it - that's just on hair-dos! So I told the girls that they could get one thing equal to $25 - DD10 got a sleepover treat box and DD7 got the phone & jewels box. Plus I got Kit and Samantha DVDs which were $5 each. My mom picked up Chrissa' party treats for DD10 for Christmas and the Heart Dress for DD7. I'm going to pick up a picnic table at the Mill store to paint for the Christmas.

Came home and finished DD10' purple courdory pleated skirt and then made a matching purple skirt for her doll as well as a yellow skirt for her doll.

We're waiting to watch iBeleive they kissed! iCarly. I have a bunch of stuff I have to do for Girl Scout. Hope everyone having a good night!!

Hiya all,

my, we are getting chatty again!

Erin - we stayed in Portreath down near St Ives - A "luxury" lodge site called Gwel an Mor - fabulous place to stay - 10 min from A30 and Redruth (civilisation!!) and 5 min walk to the fantastic quiet but surfy beach! Portreath had a corner shop, a bakery and a surf/beach/tat shop + 3 pubs , cafe, chinese restaurant and fish and chip takeaway that did great food. This is our lodge - me on balcony upstairs, M+FIL downstairs on the porch.

Pam - would love to relocate over there - just need to work on the hubby!! Seriously though, we have been thinking of emigration - but have the in-laws to think of.... we could not leave them here and they would not come with us...... so a few years (hopefully many) yet if YKWIM.

I am in a quandary...... I want to go back to WDW .... We can afford it end of next year...... we can't do summer vacation - heat/humidity etc... but I get palpitations and a sweat thinking about asking for the kids to get time out of school.... (we get 1 week off, but need 2 for a decent trip from the UK !) I really hate the thought, especially as I really don't believe in it. I don't know, we may just have to drop it - there is no point in going if I am going to get in a state about it. But of course, I really want to go.... aaaaarrrrggggghhhhh. May have to compromise and do Easter - but then it is really busy! aaarrggh.....

Tessa

So what do you guys think about the Fantasyland rehab news!!

I think it's going to be pretty cool!:lovestruc A great revamp of the area and bringing the princesses into play. I think we'll save everything to go in 2013 when the rehab is expected to open.

eeek! The plans look so cool! My problem is that we are planning a trip in 2011. It sounds like fantasy land will be closed for a good period of time while they work on it. :( I am excited!

Ok as exciting as that all is .. when does it start i do hope not until after i have been in jan/feb .. i will be heartbroken if some of fantasyland and toontown is closed before i get the last chance to see it and the kids will be devastated .. when's it due to start anyone know????

OK where is everyone? I know it's Monday :P but still come on ladies this is a day we need to hear the hellos even more so!

So I finished the purple cordoury pleated skirt - I will get a picture up here promise. Also whipped up a skirt for DD10's Samantha doll. Working on holiday patchwork skirts for the dolls to match the ones I made for the girls last year. Thinking about selling them for holiday gifts $10 each - I'll post a picture after I've made one I like.

Went to Purgatory Chasm yesterday - an amazing area with a ton of boulders to climb over. Created by earthquakes. The fighting between us and DD7 almost made me jump off a cliff! She was so fresh she almost went to bed without supper last night. She's been acting up and I think it's just because of school starting, but if it's not done by the 30th I'll need a vacation.

Has anyone thought about Halloween outfits yet? I'm hoping DD7 will be a pirate since she spent $35 (her own $$) on a Jack Sparrow hat. I'm going to try to make some costumes for their dolls, just for fun - Belle and Ariel, but we'll see.

im here. I have little one with a fever. I am not getting anything done of course. Lots of TV. I have PTO tonight and my balance sheet is off. Ugh!

Hi all! We are getting ready to build an ark! We've had rain since Friday. I need to look at the forecast to see what the rest of the week looks like. Our Fri football game got rained out, so we will have it this Fri, except that I will be chaperoning Tay's first MS dance. We were in a drought, so it is all good. I know some areas are having flood problems, but we are OK. We just stayed in most of the weekend. Since Tay was sick Thurs and Fri, it was a good thing. I liked it.

I missed Tay's first confirmation gathering at church yesterday. I missed the parent mtg last week, due to her MS open house, and I even tho I had the schedule, I just totally missed it. I was sick about it, but she was OK w/it. We aren't as active as we should be. I do try to keep the girls as involved as possible, and they love it, but I struggle w/working full time, my commute, school, band and GS activities....Balance. I struggle.

Tina - Please post pics of your doll outfits!!

Laura - Hope you are better at your house! I am ready to get those flu shots!!

I need to read up on this WDW rennovation thing. I hope it's after our Nov trip...

Just a quick hello! Today is the first day as a stay at home mom....so far, so good. Granted, Little Man has been sleeping for most of it. :lmao: I had to go in and wake him up at 8:30....and apparently the playdate we had this morning burned him out...he's going on 3 hours for his nap. :woohoo:

I didn't read anything about this rehab - so now I have to look into it, it's all news to me!

Have a great Monday everyone!

im gonna be a police officer this year for halloween since i have all the costume parts. now to decide if i wanna be sherrif woody or if i wanna be a regular police officer.i think the kids would think woodie is cool. Tessa congrats on the weight loss im on the track to loose some weight.

Hi Girls!
Trying to establish a routine around here. Yesterday I cleaned almost all day......yes on a Sunday! Had a blow up with my hubby about it too. I said how can I get to the major clutter problem if I barely can finish the day to day stuff. I yelled "take these kids and entertain them so I can get something done!"

Elizabeth loves school BUT the after school homework and such that needs to be done is a nightmare. She makes 20 minutes of homework last two hours! If it doesn't get better I am going to jump off a cliff!!!!

Matthew hasn't started his classes yet but boy does he need a break from me!

I am trying to keep up but am not doing good. I do think the Fantasyland rehab is for Disneyland only BUT I am far from sure.

If I could read what was going on with you guys from my phone while I was sitting around waiting it would be so much easier. Then if I could post it would be even better! There is so much sitting around waiting with these kids that I would love if I could do that! I can read Perezhilton VERY easily from the phone so it must be the layout of the DIS. Facebook is easy too.

Tessa...I am so proud of your weight loss! i know it is far from easy so CONGRATS!!!!!!!

Laura..I am so sorry you are dealing with a little one sick.

Tammie...I have gotten a lot of the Firefox problems cleared up. Just can't solve the multiple user problem.

Kara...glad all is well on your end! thank God we have FB to keep up with each other huh!

Michelle...just curious...did you tell us why you decided to leave work? Just being nosy.

Lorrie...I miss you too!

Cammie...I guess we are all in the same boat with this back to school stuff and getting our acts together. Our precious dis time suffers! I liked it better when i wasted so much more time here!

Pam....ALWAYS glad to hear your update! What is esty?
Jillian...hope work was OK after having the stomach flu! YUCK!

Tina...I am so envious of your sewing skills!

Erin.....glad I have FB to keep track of you too! LOVE all your pix!!! Here and at facebook!

I do wish I could get you all over on facebook!!!(I sound like a commercial)

Hi baby B LONG TIME NO SEE!!!!!

I'm so excited that I'm watching the Patriots play football!!!!:cool1::banana::cool1: Love football season!!

So just to sum it up I'm ready to throw my sewing machine out the window. The skirt that I was working on became a nightmare. It was everything for me not to rip it up. I've abandoned it to watch football instead.

AAHHH Brady got sacked. Man they aren't looking too good. Especially since they lost/traded their entire defense. oh well. Have a great night everyone!

Debbie - Long story short, I'm in the title insurance industry - or rather - I was in it. Back in January, ironically while I was in Disney World, I got a message from a coworker that a lot of poo was hitting the fan at work. So after I got done riding Space Mountain I gave her a call and found out that MAJOR cutbacks were happening thanks to the economy tanking. She thought that I might be one of the cutbacks, as I wasn't cc'ed on a certain email that got sent out. She tried looking into it, but they wouldn't tell her anything. I had made it clear prior to that, that if cutbacks were happening (we all had a hint they would) that I would have NO qualms about being one of the ones to be let go...we had plans in the works to have baby #2, and it just sort of fell into line. Well the day I get back from work, I'm let go, but they kept me on an additional 13 weeks as a contract employee. When that ended, I was off 6 weeks, then they called me back for the summer, so I worked another 16 weeks. But now I'm officially done, as #2's arrival is imminent.

Tina - We may have issues!! DH is watching the game right now....GO BILLS! :lmao: I seriously thought that at this point in the game it'd be 50 to 0 Patriots.

In regards to Halloween costumes, Jacob is going to be a monkey, and it fits him to a T, the kid shocked me today at the playground, climbing all over the place. He really is a little monkey. Natalie (DD to be) is just going to be a little pumpkin...hopefully her outfit will fit her, I have no idea how big she'll be when she's born...according to the OB she's "average size" right now. :confused3
