Looking for Control Freaks & Worry Warts - Part 4!!!

BTW Debbie is sitting having coffee at her favorite place om earth right now.

Debbie is at MNSSHP. No lines.

I am extremely jealous!!! Sorry about your sunburn. I have a fish belly, as I do not dare expose it to the sun any more. I've never been to a tanning booth in my life!

We're having a much better day here today-thanks for the support, ladies!

Glad to hear that! It's the weekend! That usually makes things way better for me! I hope that yours is great!

It's usually my butt with a bunny tail! :lmao:

????????? :rotfl2: Enquiring minds want to know? If you have to PM me, I understand. I'm a little slow.

I'm so not having a good week........ But ya know what? Today is another day!!!! And it's FRIDAY!!!!

You said it, sister! I hope that your weekend is great! YIKES!:scared1: about the snake! I am glad to hear you are not forcing Ally to be Yoda!:rotfl:

Cammie - Glad it worked out w/Lauren and the extra concert ticket. I would have gone! You are a concert maniac! That's awesome. How fun.

Tina - I am keeping my fingers crossed for your DD. I hope that she gets it! What you did w/the dolls is adorable, and so neat! The AG doll clothes are AMAZING! The fridge episode you shared - I know it made you feel bad, but we all have those days. I think that our kids know that and understand. Just like they have their bad days. That is great about the Alcott House!

BabyB - Thanks for sharing. How's the DC trip planning going?

Megan was diagnosed at age 5 w/ADD, but we decided not to put her on the medicine. I was convinced that she was just immature for her age (a late bloomer - something she inherited for her dad, seriously) after she completed Kindergarten, so we had her do something called D1, Developmental First Grade, then go on to First Grade. She has a July bday, so she was a young Kindergartner. It was all very traumatic for me, but I know we made the right decision. Sometimes I worry that how she is doing in school is a result of us not giving her the meds and following up w/the ADD thing, but I truly think that it is a result of laziness. She is very smart and makes wonderful grades when she applies herself, but she is much too interested in her social agenda and watching tv to do homework and study. We are fighting that battle now, and have been for a couple of years. It's not easy. She will get pulled out of band if she doesn't pass Chemistry this 9 wks, and right now, she is sitting at a 70. As hard of a lesson it might be, I think it may be a good one if that happens....

I am so excited!! Some people on another thread told me I could NOT wear a fanny pack for my Nov WDW trip and suggested some other bags, so I got this really cool over the shoulder bag thing for the bare essentials, that would be too much a pain to whip off the backpack to get out - money, tissues, tickets, FPs, etc, etc. It will arrive in the mail next week!:yay: I am just going to tell Darrin it's another Christmas gift, as he gives me a hard time about the packages that arrive in the mail.:rolleyes1 Hee, hee!

Debbie called me from the Haunted Mansion ride last night - they were at the Halloween party. She sounds positively thrilled to be there.

That is so awesome!!! Wish I were there...

Can't wait to see my inappropriate crush again! ;)

 Cougar.

Jillian - Yeah!!!!! :cheer2: Will you be able to keep it a secret?! Good for you on the saving!!! I've never stayed there, but it looks absolutely beautiful to me!!

Ok Kara - You WIN! I will never be able to move DD10 down to FL now. She is deathly afraid of snakes. We can't watch Harry Potter because of the snake in the second movie. I can tell you that they don't like Cayenne Pepper powder, it burns their bellies. During the summer I sprinkle it around the border of my fence to keep those mothers out. I buy a huge container of it at BJs and empty the entire container at least once a month - you have to reapply after it rains.

I would be applying it daily here in the summer..... I know moth balls supposedly work too. I really just need to put that stuff around my garage door to make sure they don't get in there. I had my friend check last night though and he said it's got a good seal so we should be good.

Good luck to your daughter!!!

Kara - I would DIE! Just DIE if I found the reptiles you seem to on a daily basis! What do you do after you kill a snake? Throwing in the trash? Ewwww!

Don't know.... :confused3 never killed one. They seem to escape and bother someone else.

Oh, and there is a 7-8 foot rattlesnake on the 7th hole of the golf course (we live off the 4th hole so it's a ways away) and it's been spotted numerous times there so it must have a nest around there. Someone serioulsy needs to call the wild game warden next time they see it. a 7 ft rattler is DANGEROUS!!!

Well I did it girls We're booked!!!! Where you might ask .......

The POLY :cool1: :yay::woohoo::lovestruc

It is a surprise to Mike he has no idea. I picked up shifts to cover the extra cost and it will be while he is working so I can pull it off. WOO HOO!!!!! I also put baby clothes on craigslist and I am collecting change.

So have any of you stayed there? I am going to need major help planning.

Yea!!!! :cool1: There is NO WAY you will be able to keep that secret. I think you'll spill it by the end of the month!;)

Laura - that's so funny...........Lauren wants me to learn the Hoedown Throwdown for the concert. :dance3: Thing is, I don't know if she's singing either of those songs though. I wasn't expecting songs sung by "Hannah Montana"; just Miley Cyrus. Guess we'll be pleasantly surprised. Our show is Nov. 9th.

i will be kind of bummed if she doesn't but it still will be a good time

Hope you recover for the sleepover tonite. We have the Yankee game again on tonite. It's fun watching the game with Lauren. She's so into it - puts on her Yankee jersey and screams at the tv. Makes me proud. :goodvibes

Well I will be on the other side cheering my Twinkies. Game at the dome should be loud! Neighbors have tickets for Sunday

that is fantastic. It will be really easy with Badookie. Debbie was just there this past summer.

NO SNAKES!!! YUCK!!

Nope I wont spill the beans I have it all planned I even had the TA send a "mock" up of the paper work with CSR on it :lmao:She's an awsome AAA agent I have been using for years.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. Working tomorrow and then our local state fair on Sunday.

Hi Ladies! I hope you're having a great weekend.

Kara - :scared1: How did the costume come out? I'm kind of partial to Yoda - lots of wisdom and i think he's kinda cute, plus Jim called our first baby Yoda!

Cammie, there you go, off to Cougartown! :rotfl2:

Tina, how did the election go? Cute doll clothes!

Jillian, I was thinking Debbie had stayed at Poly, but maybe not. She's pretty set on GF. (I'm jealous of course) Congrats on your ressies!:cheer2: How long can you keep that secret?

Pam, Bunny tail - maybe skinny people don't get it, but when I tan, it seems like my "cheeks" bunch up or something and I end up with a white spot on my tailbone - I know others get it, cuz that's the term around here for a "tanning hiney" :rotfl2:

We went out for Pizza with the guys tonight - fun group. My business is booming like crazy here and I have to leave soon. Gotta go - Jim just brought me some ice cream. :cloud9:

on that note:
What can one make with hambuger buns when one dosent like to touch raw meat

Hiya all,

well, hubby has passed on his cold/man flu/swine flu/whatever...... so I am now the snot-monster.... It is amazing how it hits you - eldest was doing her maths homework and I couldn't have cared less - normally I hover over her fussing, but she did it all right first time anyhow - must remember to cut a little slack in future!!

Loved all the pics of the dolls clothes - looks really professional!!

Jillian - how will you keep it secret!!

As for what to do with a snake when you kill it - add onions, garlic, tomatoes and long slow cooking!! Had some at a Chinese restaurant once - yum!!! I kind of wanted to hate it, but it was toooo nice....

Tessa

So we didn't win the election, but she knew how proud we were of her! They've just left for the weekend and I'm still trying to figure out what to do:confused3 Maybe back to bed!

Hi Girls!
Using my dads lap top here in naples, FL. It is going to be 95 degrees but feel like 106!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is insane and I will happily sweat! It just reminds me of how much I missed not really having a summer. Today is my Dads birthday and Monday is Matthews. Celebrating birthdays on vacation is fun! WDW was incredible! MNSSP was the best! Light crowds, lots of fun, no lines....worth the extra money for sure!!!!! They were doing a lot of refurb at GF though so that was VERY annoying since we went there to"use" the resort. More on that all later! Look for me on facebook because I can easily post there from my phone but not at the Dis. I hate how the internet plays out on my phone. Can't figure out if its the phone OR their service! I think its my phone. I replaced it before we left but they replaced it with the same old model, who knows if its even REALLY a new one! Back in I will go when Im back in town!

Oh well. I do know going home to the cold will be depressing but I will try not to whine! Hopefully I will catch up later too. Im trying 2 keep up best I can.

Sorry about that! Good for her though!!!! That always happened to me in school. Ran and tried out for everything but almost never won or made it! Builds charactor right?

It's funny I started my trip planning binder and it all says Coronado springs resort LOL. I have the poly stuff tucked away under it and he never really touches that stuff anyway. He is fine with it because when he is around I am looking up stuff for CSR. :) I plan everything anyway and I will try driving the last leg of the trip so I can drive us thru the MK gates. :confused3 It will stay a secret it is just too important not too.

Tina- I am sorry to hear DD didn't win, but I bet she did an awsome job and the American girl dolls are so cute!

Debbie- I will be sending you an email and I will be calling you to get help planning all of it.

Tessa- feel better soon let us know if you need anything.

Erin- I have been looking everywhere for the Mulan costume for Chloe no luck yet. I even tried our local Korean store to see if they had something to match, but no Luck I wish I could sew I would make one for her.

Erin, love you, too! It will all work out.
Thanks girls i really need some ears and shoulders and of course you all are those

Tessa/Erin - Do you all get flu shots by you?

I think here it is really only people over 60 or people with heart problems etc really

Erin- I have been looking everywhere for the Mulan costume for Chloe no luck yet. I even tried our local Korean store to see if they had something to match, but no Luck I wish I could sew I would make one for her.

Awwww Jillian that is just sooo sweet thankyou so so much .. I am still hunting too, our Disney store doesn't stock them so i'll keep hunting
Thankyou sooooo much though
And i am so very excited for you about changing your resort, when is it you go??

I have had such a lovely chilled day today lots of nothing how i looove saturdays like that, especially as the next few saturdays i'll be going to the market, i did really well this week and put about $80 away in the wdw pot :cool1:

Pam .. I am glad you went against the Fanny pack especially from a Brits point of view :rotfl:
Kara ... EEEEEKKKKKK on the snake i do not envy you on that front
Tess .. I feel your pain we've had that here too, wrap up warm and take care of yourself

Hi Debbie - have fun in the Sun! :beach: I wished your dad Happy Birthday on FB, but :bday: to Matthew, too! pirate:

Tina, sorry your DD didn't win, but I know you are proud of her for going after something she wants - great life lesson! :thumbsup2

Tessa, hope you feel better! I've tasted rattlesnake, don't care to again - can't imagine having SNAKE SOUP!

Kara, according to Tessa, you could use my sloppy joe recipe above and grind that snake up - Oh, I just grossed myself out!

We just got back from the zoo and museum. It was really cold! :cold: Crappy zoo - I really felt bad for the animals - most were in small cages - the big cats were very unhappy. There was a leopard passing and growling - seemed like she didn't feel well. Beautiful bald eagles with perches, but short cages, so they couldn't go way up high in a tree like they like. The historical museum was cool. It kind of connected the Idaho history with the Oregon history for us. Jim had relatives in both - he's part Nez Perce indian.

We have ressies at Barbacoa tonight. It's a restaurant where they cook and serve your steak on a hot rock and make guacamole fresh at your table. Should be nice. Have a great evening and stay warm!

Okay, just have to share my excitement/dread! We figured out what we want to do with our points for 2011! We want to book at Pacific Coast DCL for April 27, 2011. So I pick up the phone - crap! MS closed 1/2 hour ago. Now I have to wait for tomorrow morning to see if our cat that fits the points I want to spend is still open! Wish me Luck! :cool1:
