Looking for Control Freaks & Worry Warts - Part 4!!!

This is the trip with the neighbors - just Ally and I in Sept, and the family in December..... c'mon! Keep up! :rotfl2:

Tina - I'm disappointed I didn't get to wish you a wonderful trip! I hope that you got the iron ons fixed! The dresses are goregeous. I think it's great how everyone can be a kid at Disney, even the "cool" kids, who think they are too cool for that stuff at home. My girls love everything Disney 99% of the time. I know that you are already having fun!!

Laura - Ellie's cute! I wouldn't be able to resist, either!

Debbie - I hope that you are feeling better, and maybe back to school is occupying your time.

Kara - Allie looks so cute! I have those brown Converse!:rotfl: I can't wait to see your t-shirts!

Cammie - Yippee on the nurse! I still take photos on the first day of school, in new 1st day outfits, and Meg's a sophomore. As long as she's OK w/it...(If she wasn't, I would force her anyway.)

Jillian - Sorry about the bad luck w/the car. Car money is my least favorite money to spend. That and appliance money. I am so jealous about NY in the fall. I want to do that someday.

We've been busy w/back to school. I am already ready for the weekend. It's Darrin's fantasy football weekend, so he'll be gone Fri-Sun. I am not sure yet what the girls and I will do, but certainly fun stuff, and nothing productive! We've decided to make a photo scrapbook for my parents' Nov bdays of our Nov 2007 WDW trip, so we will get started on that. I've got the book and a lot of paper and stickers, now I just need to organize the online pics, get them developed, and find my Photpass CD to get those done. When we get back in Nov, we will start on our book of all of our past trips. This is a huge undertaking for me, who has a big project phobia.

Hi ladies! I just caught up - we're still in California - heading to LV tomorrow. Jim and I are heading to DL today while his family has work and school errands. We've had a great time catching up with my DB and his family and with Jim's Uncle and family!

I caught up with Debbie on the phone yesterday - she's in WI and says they are doing fine. I'm glad they got away.

Kara, Ally's pics are so cute!

Pam, glad your casserole turned out - what disguise did you wear?:rotfl2:

I see Tina is on her way:yay:

Cammie, I'm glad the new nurse worked out so well!

Laura, cute puppy! I've been asking Jim for a puppy - the house is so quiet, and I want someone to care when we come home. So far no go. I want a little dog and he says he doesn't want to be the "old fart in the campground with the little ankle biter." :rotfl:

Jillian, don't work too hard

Shelley, glad you're still hanging around with us crazies.

Debbie and I decided that we all need to get back after school starts and start having fun here again - Lots of smileys - I still need to find out where she got all of those crazy ones!

Okay, better start getting ready - we have to leave here at 7 - DL opens at 8 - I haven't slept hardly at all - my knee keeps me awake all night - I don't know what's going on, but guess I'll have to find a doc in Boise. Have a great Hump day everyone - I'm off to see the Mouse!

Kara, do you drive a golf cart to school? CUTE pic!!!

No, just to the bus stop sometimes, and to the pool, and to the golf club and driving range, and just around the neighborhood. We're not allowed to drive them outside the subdivision though.

Hi Ladies...
Indeed I did go to Wisconsin yesterday with Elizabeth's Friends. Actually the ones we were in WDW with at the same time. Came back today since the weather has taken a turn. My Mom too of course. Trying to keep her mind busy. Yesterday was the only sunny day in the 80's the rest of the week has been and will be yuck! Oh well. I am sure we are all doing better about Chelsea but WOW it hurts! One day at a time I know...
Thx again girls! I DO promise to bring it up a notch! A notch in the fun department! Doom & gloom Debbie needs to hit the road!

Hi girls crazy here working like crazy picking up a ton of OT since it is around and I have Tabitha to babysit. I HAVE been checking in but no able to take time out to respond. We had to cancel our trip to NH since we both picked up OT and we are planning something for Late Sept early October. I am thinking we may make our way down to PA or NYC I love NY in the fall so beautiful. Also we have had bad tire luck and replaced the brand new (to us anyway) Jettas tires after Mike drove over a pile of wood and POP :sad2:
As for health new nothing has changed I am still getting Aunt Flo every 4 or 5 days lasting for 5 days etc... Mike has made his mind up that I will be going to Boston to be seen and he has had enough. We though all would be solved but not yet. It looks as though I will be following up with a reproductive endocrinologist and a Fertility doctor so we can get things rolling.

If you need recs for IF doctors let me know. One of my closest friends dealt with infertility and secondary infertility and went to a place in Boston. She had a unique issue, not sure what it was exactly...

Just stating for the record that I'm very jealous of all of you that are going on trips or have just gone on trips to WDW! I hope you had/have a wonderful time though!!!:wizard:

I think I need to take my evening walks down a notch...I've been taking Jacob for walks around the neighborhood lately and have learned that pushing him in the stroller is NOT a good idea...I've ended each walk with cramps and BH contractions. :scared1: I'm just trying REALLY hard this time to keep the weight gain down (especially since I started with extra poundage to spare) and have been really good. With the end in sight - only 7 weeks left!! - I really don't want to gain much more. My doctor has been really impressed and had recommended I only gain 10-20lbs and right now I'm at 14lbs so it's going to be close. I know....seems to go against the standard mantra of thinking for pregnancy...but I started with 20lbs leftover from the last pregnancy (gained 35lbs for that one) and so I don't want a repeat of that!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!

Hey guys,

Tough week. Little man has started school. He started half days this week, but today was the first full day. Of course he had tears in full gear when I left. :sad1: He just seems so little to be doing this. :sad1:

So I'm going to have lunch with him in a bit. I have helped all week with getting the kids their lunches but today I'm just going to sit with him while he eats. He will enjoy that.

I'm exhausted from this week. Just trying to develop a new routine. It will be better now that we are doing full days rather than partial.

I still haven't caught up - shoot me. Just shoot me. I need it.

I hope you guys are all doing well and I'll check in soon!

lorrie-- congrats! it was really tough for me to send beth to school but it does help to see him mid day at lunch. how is mia doing with brother being gone?

i'm miserable. I had my mirena removed last week. Glad it is gone but YIKES!!! Jillian I feel your pain. Called the Dr to see if what is going on is normal. cramps and large clots. I havent even gotten dressed today. Ugh. The girls are bored. They are begging to go to the State Fair. I'm debating it. Walking would do me good. But then we have the puppy who can't stay in her kennel for more than 4 hours.

i'm going to join debbie on downer island for awhile. ;) We love you debbie! I'm hoping once school starts I can find my routine.

have a great Thursday! Hope Tina is having fun and Kara-are you guys going to meet up?

Debbie - Glad to hear you're sounding a little better. Hang in there!
Shelly - Sounds like you're doing great with your weight. I think you're ahead of the game so just do what feels good for you. Walk as long as it's comfortable. But if you can't, just put those feet up and take it easy!
Laura - Why did you get the Mirena taken out? And is it normal to have all that bleeding once it's out? Mine has only been in for about two years, so I have three years left. But I LOVE it! Just wondering if you had problems with it.
Lorrie - Oh goodness, I remember those first few days of kindergarten. I put Lauren on the bus her first day, and turned around and sobbed all the way up the driveway.:sad1: Of course, Lauren was fine leaving me for the afternoon so that helped (a little). It's an adjustment for everybody but it does get easier!

Cooler weather has finally arrived. I've been able to shut off my AC for the first time in weeks! So nice.

Amanda has been giving me such a hard time this past week. Her allergies are acting up and she's been alot of work. I had her stretching out on the floor this morning and started kissing her nose. She smiled. :goodvibes I don't get many of those from her - melted me and also made me feel incredibly guilty for being so aggravated with her recently. Don't you just love how kids can generate so many different emotions in you at the same time?

Hi to everyone else. It's almost Friday! :yay:

Yay for no a/c! I love having the breeze blow through my house!

Need some advice from moms of kids older than 3 or 4. My DD4 has a thing with picking. She'll get a mosquito bite and scratch and pick until it bleeds. She does it all over her legs and arms. I almost think she is creating these herself. Like she can't help herself. She looks awful. Scabs and cuts all over her arms and legs. I basically put her in a ton of bandaids every day. Doesn't help that she LOVES bandaids. Is this normal?

the picking thing is a phase they go thru. it is miserable. My DD2 is just entering it. Beth just left it. It will drive you nuts! My least favorite thing is the hands in the mouth. Beth is always putting them in there. One would assume that 7 yr old would know not to do that but not her. She has gotten ill 2xs from it. Silly kid!

Cool day, allergies under control. Windows are going in this weekend. Fun-huh? Kara have a blast at WDW this weekend.

Ally is still a picker, but it's getting better. She would get a scab in her nose, and then pick it until she had a major nosebleed going. I can't tell you how many sets of sheets we've gone through!!!! And then she would deny picking but as soon as I looked at her nails, it was obvious. So yes, it's normal and she'll grow out of it.....

Cammie - so sweet about Amanda smiling at you!!! :goodvibes Hope she gets to feeling better soon. A lot of people down here are complaining of allergies, too.

Lorrie - it will get better, I promise! I took a whole day off work on Ally's first day of kindergarten, but then she just marched right in and didn't look back. I think being an only child she was thrilled to be in class all day with other kids. It IS all about the routine. Bedtimes, homework times, etc. I mean, just looking through Ally's backpack each day to see what I have to sign and return......

So, I woke up this morning with a splitting headache, and throwing up. Leaving tomorrow at 7am for the weekend in Disney with our neighbors..... Ally was almost in tears when she saw me in bed. Feeling better now so I think it must have been something I ate!

Yesterday I dowloaded a bunch of Disney park music, and when I drove to the bus stop to get Ally (it was raining..... not just me being lazy!) she got in and said, "is this Epcot music?" I guess that proves I'm raising her right!!!! :rotfl2:

If I don't get on again before I leave, I'll bombard you all with pics next week! And if I have your email address I'll send you live pics too!!!!

glad to hear that she was concerned about the big things in life. :) i'm waiting to get the oil changed. I had been trying to get my tires roatated at Costco forever but the wait can be over an hour so I'm sucking it up and having the dealer rotate them for $15. that should make the silly van drive better. Kids are going nuts but at least they have wifi and I have a laptop. Love disneychannel.com

I still haven't caught up - shoot me. Just shoot me. I need it.

They should have shot me a long time ago! I am doing better about staying caught up, for now...

School will get better (for you!:)). You know it's easier on him than on you. That's great that you get to have lunch w/him!

Tammie - How was LV and DL?? LUCKY.

Erin - Thinking of you having fun in Portugal...

Debbie - I hope that every day is getting easier for you. I'm jealous of your cooler weather.

Shelly - Only 7 weeks? Don't over do!

Laura - I hate to hear that about the Mirena. Mine needs to come out soon AND BE REPLACED. In fact, I mean to keep calling about that. I don't need any late in life surprises. I hope that you are feeling better! I'm jealous of your cooler weather, too! Are you getting ready to go on a road trip?

Cammie - Your story about Amanda was awesome. Everyone has cooler weather than me! :headache: I'm jealous of yours, too!

Lydia - I don't remember a picking stage, but just because it's been awhile since we've been there, and I forget some things like that, but Taylor did go thru the fingers in the mouth stage, until a very late age. Gross! I am worried now about the flu and H1N1 virus, so I'd die if I saw fingers in the mouth. I'm turning into a germaphobe for my old age. I do remember the loving bandaids stage, and them wanting a bandaid on just about anything. I am really enjoying etsy, and have gotten lots of stocking stuffers for the girls and some of my Christmas shopping done!

Kara - I hope that you are feeling better! Yoo hoo! Have a fun Disney weekend!! Where do you download your WDW music?

TGIF!!! Hi to everyone else! Happy weekend! We have our first football game tonight, and Darrin has just officially left for his Fantasy Football weekend. The girls and I will visit at my parents and go out to eat w/them tomorrow, and just chill the rest of the weekend. Hopefully, we will get started on their birthday WDW scrapbook. Back to school activities and getting last minute supplies took over the week.

I haven't exercised in over a week. :scared1:Maybe I will get back in the swing this weekend. Or maybe not...There are too many other fun things to do.
