Looking for Control Freaks & Worry Warts - Part 4!!!

Hi girls rainy day here Mike works 6 days in a row this week and he is exhausted Luca is not sleeping so that means neither am I and working while he is doing all of this extra is killing me. I really do think I need to cut dow to 2 days a week 3 is sending me over the edge. I didn't get in until 9 last night and was too tired to cook so I ate junk. I hate that

Thanks girls for letting me rant I needed it.

Now off to better topics no news on the code front I think it was just a big old rumor which is fine, but I am really hoping something comes out for March 4/3 would be great.

Kara has not internet except her Iphone so I hope she checks in.

Shelly no canning here but I was thinking of making sauce because I have a garden full of tomatoes:confused3 Let me know how it goes I have never done it before.

Laura- I am glad Tim is coming home have fun today.

Hi guys! It's almost Friday!! You all need to send the rain my way!!! I am not driving tonight, and I have a GNO w/my lady friends in the neighborhood. We will just have dinner, and I will have my one drink, get a buzz, then have fun until the buzz goes down and go home. We're such party animals! Probably Mexican and margaritas!

Laura - Nick Universe sounds fun to me. I need to Google it! I hope that you all had fun! Do you all go to the Mall of America often? WOW. Is it always packed? Glad Tim's coming home.

Tessa - Whoo hoo! about the mile walk. That is so awesome! The puddle splashing sounds fun. I wish I would have done more of that when my kids were little. Rain kept us indoors. Next time it rains, I just need to say, let's go for a walk!

Tina - Do the men ever have a clue about anything that we do? How much we do?? Mine doesn't. When is the big day, when you spill the beans? The BTS clothes shopping wears me out, too. I still have a few things to get this weekend. I absolutely do not want to be out shopping the weekend before school starts.

Jillian - I hope you get your codes. I am still over the top about free CS DDP, and how much money that is going to save us! I have never gotten that kind of discount before, only the deep discount on the room the October after Sept 11. I think we paid about $60 for a value, but the 2 CS meals and 2 snacks/pd/x4 is huge, IMO. What is the 4/3 thing??

I have vision of Laurie in the storm with a chain saw and mask.
vampire-smiley-11.gif
.how did Carlos not die of laughter...we love you.
.
Okay, firsts off, no - he was DEAD ASLEEP! :rolleyes1 Second, no chainsaw. Pruining Sheers that oddly resemble Jaws of Life. :rotfl2: But I slept well the rest of the night! ;)

Lorrie - Are you taking stick kiddos on your WDW trip?? Hee, hee!
.
You mean the kids who do not know where we are going? :rotfl: Nope, no room for stick figures. If my hand needs something to do, I'm sure I can find a drink for it to hold. :rotfl2:

So get a load of this, my BF springs on me something I had never known - SHE HAS MOTION SICKNESS! WTH!

I'm scared of heights and planning on ToT with her, but then if she rides the Mission Space with me, she will puke. :idea:doesnt sound fun :sad2:

anyone have suggestions?

Today we had our Kindergarten placement test. They said he did great - but I noticed all kids got that report. :rolleyes1 Nicolas probably did - except the site words. :confused3 We hadn't worked on that because I didn't realize we were suppose to. :confused3 We go next Thursday to see which of the 6 classes he has placed into and find out our "phase in" schedule. :sad1:

I decided to keep Mia out of Mother's Day out this year. She takes a good nap daily and picks up colds so easy. When Nicolas went he was sick the whole winter so it was basically two months where he went 3 days combined. If she is going to be home anyway, I'd rather just keep the money. Plus girls are so different. She can count to 20, sing ABCs etc - she will learn so fast.

I think I will list that train table on craigs list today - hopefully I can sell it and get Mia a nice little kitchen. :goodvibes She plays with the trains, but I think she'd play with the kitchen set more. Or at least I hope so! :rotfl:

Quick fly by - I've finally got internet and phone back. Right now I'm watching live the return of Scott Speicher's to Jacksonville. They just unloaded the casket at the airport - I guess the airport is shut down until this is finished. No in or out flights. Great respect to a fallen hero. So emotional watching his kids who are now I think 18 and 20? They were 1 and 3 or something like that, when he died.

Back later.

Hey girls sorry haven't had time to read everything back i skimmed a little, so am hoping you are all ok
Tammie i am so so sorry about Dana send huge hugs to you and your family

Well tomorrow is the day :cool1::cool1: our day starts at 6.15 :scared1: no am not a morning person, a quick drive to get the train then on that train into London to get on the Eurostar and a quick 2 hrs 35 mins and we will be in Disneyland Paris :cool1::cool1: I have checked the weather and it is forecasted to be up to 90 degrees on saturday :scared1::cool1: i am more than excited
We will be home sunday and i shall return and post many many pics :rotfl:

Everyone have a great weekend .. love to you all

Yeah, Erin! How fun! Can't wait to see your pics. I need to learn about the Eurostar. I've heard about it, but don't know much about it. Heck, just taking the train into London would be enough excitement for me!!

Lorrie - Don't fret about Kindergarten. Nicolas will be just fine, and will catch up where he needs to, if need be. He will do great. Are you doing OK w/him starting "real" school, and is it full day? They didn't start full day K until my youngest, Taylor, had started first grade. Both of my girls did K at the daycare they attended. They could have done 1st & 2nd there as well, but I wanted to put them in public school. As for the kitchen, I can't offer advice, as they are all different than when mine were little. They did play w/them a lot, for a very long time. I'd bet that Nicolas will even play w/the kitchen for awhile. I think it was the best investment that we ever made in a toy. That and the wagon.

Kara - I had heard that rumor about your internet. What happened?

This is the first year that we will not have any day care expense! Taylor went to after school care at the elem school last year, but is at the middle school this year, and will walk or get a ride home. School is out at 3:50, so she will be home a little after 4, let herself in, and Darrin gets home a little after 5. Meg will take the bus home and get home a little after Tay.

I am on vacation today! :cool1:I just got all of our music off of the ext hard drive and into iTunes, and am getting ready to load my Photoshop and organize pics. I need to transfer pics off of a memory card to the pc. I lost a lot of pics on one memory card. My camera or the pc won't read it for some reason. I am bummed. It's all of our pics from our New Orleans trip in the spring, Tay's last bday, and some other misc pics, I can't remember. I am hoping that if I take it to the camera place, there's something they can do. Not sure what happened.:sad1:

We have Tay's school orientation this afternoon, but not sure what else we are going to do today. Public pool? It would be "free" entertainment, as I bought the season pass at the beg of summer.

So glad it's the weekend....

So I got contacts yesterday. First time ever!!! My distance sight has deteriorated so much that I need to wear glasses full time, and my farsightedness is worse also. I can't read a menu at a restaurant no matter how far away I hold it. And if I forget my glasses, I'm miserable. So doc prescribed bifocal contacts!!!

And...... I got them out okay by myself yesterday and only took 3 tries in one eye and 2 in the other and I got them in today!!! Yea me!

Erin should be heading to DLP now - or maybe she's already there, with the time difference.....

I've got to find a way to meet her and Tessa next time they are here - how cool to meet my buds from across the pond! But we won't be able to find Tessa, she's gonna be so skinny! :goodvibes

OK, gotta get started today..... I'll catch up with y'all later!

Debbie - Jeff rocks on BB!!! I never thought he'd have the guts to do what he did - it's what all the viewers wanted, but they never seem to do the "smart" thing on Survivor, BB, whatever. Even Jesse said it was a smart move. Bye bye Jesse!!! :rotfl2: But Chima and Natalie are gonna go bonkers!!!! Should be some good stuff this week!

Kara - Great about the contacts. I wear bifocal glasses, and reading glasses when I wear reg contacts, but haven't tried the bifocal contacts yet. I don't know anyone that wears them! Let me know how you like them!

Tay just woke up, and I am getting ready to make her breakfast. Oh, I could so be a stay at home mom.....

Playing around w/my pics and Photbucket. Just wondering why I don't do this more often, or how I am going to survive w/out CRT on our Nov trip. I make my ADRs a week from today! :yay: There's still time to change our minds....This one is one of my sweeties from our 2007 trip w/my parents:

Kara - would be great to meet some of you lot over there - looking like late 2011, or spring 2012 right now though!!!

Skinny - I wish Kara!!! I've got that embarrassing weight loss stage now where my legs are losing weight, my ****s, my arms, my face, my bum, but I look about 6 months pregnant!!!! And I could be a great belly dancer - you push one side of it and it sets up ripples a la Homer Simpson!!!:lmao: I find this stage quite depressing really, but just got to go through it ....

Pam - don't your girls look all grown up!!! I don't know why but I imagined them younger for some reason - probably getting kids/parent combo mixed up again in my head...

My little girls are growing up now - both have turned into bookworms - went to the library again today (walked 3 quarters of a mile each way!!) - they do a summer reading scheme - where they read so many books over so many visits and they get stickers/poster/bookmarks and a medal - they get a certificate delivered to them at school during morning assembly too. They got their medal for completing the scheme today - both were so proud - and they got out big thick books to take away next week on our UK hols. I am so pleased they have found the pleasure of reading for fun.

Tessa

Pam - great pic! I love the princesses! I'm really looking forward to booking CRT in December. If I can!

Now I"m trying to get 1900PF for breakfast when Ally and I go in Sept. Still booked but I"ll keep trying. She just wants characters, she said she doesn't care which ones, but I think that would be fun.

Tessa - I know what you mean but your description is hilarious! :rotfl2: Just keep with it, and aerobic exercise is great for the midsection. Walking, running, etc. Situps have never done a darn thing for me, but I'm trying to do it anyway.

Hi Girls..
I am thinking I should just start my posts out with whether or not mark is at work or not because that completely changes my whole mood! Thankfully he was just off yesterday of this week.

Glad all is going well with you guys!
Laura...glad the hubby is back! The road trip sounds fun! Be safe.

Kara..glad the contacts are working out for ya. I LOVE Jeff!!! He must win!! I swear if he gets far enough I will get to meet him. He literally lives a mile from where I taught school for 12 years AND 10 minutes from my house. I also know people who know him!!!!!! Obviously these people are a lot younger then me! I am so excited. I am also hoping to go to one of those parties they have at the bars or restaurants in the area if he gets further in the game.

PLEASE LET MICHELLE NOT **** IT ALL UP!!!!!!!!!

Pam...LOVE the pic! Love it!
Tina...men are COMPLETELY clueless! Really they just have no idea what life at home entails!

Cammie...comee out come out wherever you are!

Lorrie....When I went to great America theme park when I was in my 30's I would take a non drowsy Dramamine. maybe that's an option or go on the Mars wimpy side and don't spin. That ride is one of the worst if you get motion sickness. I won't do it again.

Jillian...I hope everything gets all figured out with your body and work and such...one day at a time, right. You need to NOT over do it though. Also, I hope you get a 4/3 too! That would be awesome!

Tessa You are too funny! Keep up the good work. I wish my family were book worms. I always regret that our family aren't better readers. I always hate admitting this because it is so unAmerican and it makes me look so dumb but I just don't enjoy reading. Maybe its my ADD! LOL

Erin....have a blast! Can't wait for pix!

Hi Tammie! Always happy when I know you are here...and at FB....and at twitter.....LOL!

1st off your tickers are messing my whole computer screen up ya ticker hog!

Also, is 1900 where the evil sisters are because they are hilarious and I loved the food!

Tessa! Ha, ha! I know exactly what you mean! I wish we could pick where we lose it! I loose it in my b&^bs fist, then my bum (wish I could do something about the width), but everywhere else is slow, esp the thighs. I don't even want to talk about my stomach, it never was the same after 2 kids, but I think the workout on the BOSU ball is going to do the trick! My stomach hurt so badly after both workouts. I loved it! Good for you on the walking. I am ready for cooler weather to start walking. Great for your girls! Mine go in spurts on the reading. This summer - not so much. Meg has to read To Kill a Mockingbird for her English class. She has one week before school starts. She better get reading. I keep threatening. I loved that book. Don't read so much now, though...

Tay & I are getting ready to get hair trims, go to lunch (w/a BOGO coupon of course!) and then go to middle school orientation. I can't believe that I don't have one in elementary school any more. The pic w/Snow White is 2 yrs ago. My kids are older!

What's a 4/3??

Thanks for the nice comments on the picture!:flower3:

Debbie - Glad to see that you are chipper!

Kara - I'm w/Debbie on the tickers. There should be a one ticker limit. Hee, hee! (so not fair!)

Hi and hugs to everyone!:grouphug:

Pay for 4 nights and get 3 nights free

Post a new pic of the girls!

Yeah Kara...your tickers make me scroll to the right 2 much! Have some pity on me and my horrible PC!

1st off your tickers are messing my whole computer screen up ya ticker hog!

Also, is 1900 where the evil sisters are because they are hilarious and I loved the food!

In two weeks I'll get rid of the one ticker...... then you'll be okay!

1900 dinner is with the evil stepsisters, but the breakfast is the Supercalifragilistic thingy - it's Mary P, Alic, Mad Hatter, etc. I'll keep trying....

Happy Friday!! It's PACKING DAY!! Ok just have a few minutes to jump on and say hello to everyone!!

I'm so excited I got the girls completely packed, except for DD10's crocs because she's wearing them. Then I have to hit Walgreens for a few things travel size. Plus I packed for my Chicago trip for next week - I'm doing awesome! Wanted to show you a few outfits cause someone asked about the iron ons we did.

IMG_1287.jpg

Ok so left to right - Very top shirt is a flag Mickey and the four parks for DH. top - Pluto, matching AK shirts for the girls, Ariel. Second row - Belle, matching Epcot shirts for the girls, Ariel. Third row - Jasmine, Epcot shirt for DH and two Mickey Patriots for DH. DH wants me to make myself an Epcot shirt so we'll all have matching shirts that day, but I ran out of iron on. So I'm either running out to the store to get more or going with out.
Here's a shirt I did for myself.
IMG_1290.jpg

Here's how crazy I am. I didn't like the shorts I had put to go with their shirts, so I ran down this AM and made short to match.

IMG_1289.jpg

Ok so I'm off to Walgreens. I only have 2 hours left and then everything has to go into the trailer until the trip. Now all I have to do is plan their carryons. Maybe a Epcot iron on for me - What do you guys think - should we all have the same shirt?

Well Tina, I can't see the first pic for some reason but I vote YES to making an Epcot shirt for yourself = makes for great family photos!!! :thumbsup2
