I still do a few of the rewards sites--the kind that you click on an ad wait for the few seconds and get credit so you can eventually cashout for cash or gift cards

this just started a few days ago
Ill log into one of the sites and click on the ad
and then absolutely nothing happens the screen is just blank
except where I put the website name

they work on chrome but not the one with the colored circle at the bottom of our screen

if anyone has any ideas on what I can do that would be great
Im good with computers so this is a big problem for me

thanks

All I can suggest is that sometimes problems like this can be solved by opening an Incognito or Private browsing session, then trying again on the site that is giving you a problem.

Clear all your Internet cookies and your history. Then log back into your account and try again. Sometimes Internet cookies get corrupted and don't work right.

Also, if you have an ad blocker installed, you have to disable it for those websites, plus your main account where you the clicks add up.

thanks for the idea I tried it and I get the same thing

funny though cause I can do survey sites
and open emails
but now all I get a blank screen

I have found that some websites work on Chrome but not on Microsoft Edge. Edge seems to have just updated something over the weekend as I recall seeing the update taking place. I just use whichever browser works for those specific websites. Contacting any of the IT sites for 'help' is pointless, a HUGE waste of my time and terribly frustrating. Usually you get someone at an offshore call center who can barely speak English, seems to have NO idea how to be of assistance and just reads from a scripted list of the 12 most commonly asked questions. Generally the first thing they tell you do is delete your cookies/cache which never seems to solve any problem, but DELETES all of your saved passwords on EVERY site you use.

It does seem that some websites aren't compatible with each other. For those, I will just reboot my computer and then the site works correctly. I doubt anyone really knows why, but that is just the way it is with the number of different websites/software/hardware/etc. that all function on the internet.

Bring up the webpge on another browser like Firefox or Microsoft Edge. See if you still get those blank screens. Sometimes websites do upgrades and then they don't work with a browser they used to work with. :badpc:

It must have happened with the so call update since a few days when I went on it was doing the upgrade. And that’s when the issues started Why is whenever they do an upgrade it screws up something else.

Actually someone mentioned Microsoft edge. That’s the one that’s not working. Chrome is working just fine.
How do I change to foxfire

You can download Firefox here. Make sure you pick which computer you have, either 32-bit or 64-bit.

thanks for the tip on firefox it actually worked

but how would I uninstall it if I dont need it anymore I just get rather nervous downloading new things on the computer since Im not good with computers

also I was doing a chat with ATT and the agent said it could be the microsoft blocked these
sites is this right that they can just go in and block things that you were always able to do

is this firefox just another browser like chrome and microsoft
another thing that concerns me is that when I log into the sites it pops up and says its an unsecure site
but now is the first time I noticed that like the site Im working on now has the unsecure symbol

funny how now all of a sudden since I installed this new browser and I get a little paranoid
I guess Im just looking for a little reassuring
thanks

Firefox is just another browser like Chrome and Edge. And its been around a while.

Its possible the websites you're having an issue with has let their security certificate expire. That would explain the "unsecure" notifications.

Glad it worked. :thumbsup2

To uninstall it or any program or "app" just type in to the Search bar on your computer, (the magnifying glass next to the Windows Start button in the bottom left of your computer screen, "Add or Remove programs." Click on it.

Under Apps & features, scroll down to "Mozilla Firefox."
Click on it and then click the Uninstall button. :surfweb:

Yes, Firefox is just a browser like Chrome or Microsoft. It's actually supposed to be more secure than Microsoft. You don't have to use the browser for anything else than when you are doing this program. :thumbsup2

That could be why you were getting a blank screen on the other browsers. When the website did the update, THEY didn't properly get the proper security certificates set up properly. And it's probably why Microsoft & Chrome blocked the pages. It depends on how their browsers' security is set up. If these are pages you've visited a lot in the past, I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks so much. That really help to put my mind at ease.
My sites seem to run faster on the Firefox which is 😊
One other question is there any charge to add this browser. Thanks again

No, Firefox is free. :) Happy web surfing! :surfweb:
