The times we were given first floor rooms anywhere, we always turned them down. We like using the balcony.

The trip, we will have two rooms with a wheelchair and double stroller. Possibly a ECV too. So I'm thinking maybe not waiting for an elevator might be worth. I'm just afraid of it being like living in a fishbowl. Especially with BLT not having sheers. I'm considering bringing some sheers to hang to the door frame with those command hooks.

Just also thought, what about noise level? Is the first floor nosier with people playing ping pong, etc. That could be a issue with naps.

What about first floor rooms on the outside of the "C"? Any close noise issues?

There are 9 lock-off 2BRs and 1 dedicated 2BR on the ground floor. Most of them are Standard View; the 3 that are Lake View are kinda dodgy/bad LV.

If you've booked Lake View and want a decent view, you want higher. If you've booked Standard, they're about typical.

We booked standard studios. We always book standard studios. We've just never had first floor. Not sure we should continue to turn down the first floor if offered.

There is a work station on the ground level where they bring in the sheets and the towels every night and whatever else. We had a low floor once on the outside of the C, and the beeping of the trucks as they reversed all night drove me nuts. I think there is also a housekeeping area at the end of one of the hallways on the first floor. That might be annoying to be near as well. For me, I think I would just deal with the elevators and request a higher floor.

Thank you. I was concerned of truck noise. I never walked around the first floor to see what the layout was. Usually it's find the room and let's go to the park. Our trip in Dec, we were given a first floor which we turned down.

If you're facing the building, we were to the left of the entrance. The other side might be quieter, I'm not sure.

I'll have to try to find a resort layout somewhere online. Just want to be prepared if they say we have room X ready for you.

We LOVED our first floor standard room. In fact, i think we might prefer that over other rooms. Our room was on the inner part of the C and right outside our room was the bocce court. It adored sitting outside on our patio and reading. It was peaceful and serene...like a spa. Being steps from our car was priceless as was the quick return to our room from MK. The elevator was just steps away too. We would choose this room in a heart beat again.

Did you have any issues with people playing the games? Part of me is thinking that would be so ideal to take the kids to the pool. Let momma rest in the room.

We requested and received Room 7132. We loved it and thought it was a great location. We always pick ground floor rooms because we don’t want to wait for elevators all the time (no strollers or scooters). We were a quick walk to the front door, pool, contemporary back entrance and the elevators to the 5th floor walkway when we wanted to take the monorail. It was super quiet and I felt like it was private since there was not a path directly in front of our patio. We did hear the Electric Water Pageant one night and sometimes the MK fireworks but it was great to run out our patio door and catch it from there!

Nope. It was like having this lovely zen garden right outside our window with the bocce court just on the other side. I never felt like anyone could see in our room.
