to this song, "A handful of Weeds" (recorded) by Sheri Easter... I've searched a bagillion ways and can't find the words online - anyone?

Thanks!

I had no luck either. On her website, you can do a search and find the CD it's on.

Try typing the name and "lyrics" into a search engine. That should find it for you. G'luck!

I did - couldn't find it... back to the search engine.

btw - this song is beautiful - it was at DH's grandmothers' funeral - part of the lyrics are - She taught me how to sing, she taught me how to sew, she taught me about Jesus - she deserves an armful of roses but would be happy with a handful of weeds.

Now, my cousin is her grandmothers' primary caregiver, with hospice care - they're getting ready for the inevitable - her younger granddaughters (7,8,8,11) are going to record it - to play at Grandma's funeral .

Here are the lyrics. It is a beautiful song that I'll be singing for our church's Mother/Daughter banquet.

A HANDFUL OF WEEDS by Sheri Easter

Four years old with dirt on my face
I’d been out in the yard picking dandelions all day
I burst through the front door when I’d gathered enough
To give to my mom to show her my love
When I held out my hand she looked down at me
Said ‘I’ve never seen flowers as beautiful as these.’

She’s the one who told me about Jesus
She’s the one who taught me to sing
She deserves an arm full of roses
But she’s satisfied with a handful of weeds.

Now that I’m older and out on my own
I wish I could find more time to make it back home
I could have done better, I know in my heart
Than to scribble a note on a last minute card
Then she calls on the phone and the first thing she says
Is ‘I read this card over and over again.’

She’s the one who told me about Jesus
She’s the one who taught me to sing
She deserves an arm full of roses
But she’s satisfied with a handful of weeds

She’s always known what true love means
And I want her to know what she means to me

She’s the one who told me about Jesus
She’s the one who taught me to sing
She deserves an arm full of roses
But she’s satisfied with a handful of weeds

She’s more than satisfied with a handful of weeds

I've got one too!! I just want to know the author and what CD it might be on. Heard it on the radio twice and can't seem to find it. The lyrics go something like this - "Thank you Dad for showing me the Father."

Hi,
Just wondering if you ever found that CD? I've been looking for that one for at least 8 years! If you have found out anything, would you please let me know? I'd certainly appreciate it.

Phillips, Craig, and Dean "I Want to be Just Like You" maybe?
