looking for cheap air from detroit or flint

Hi my SIL is coming with us she is having a hard time finding cheap airfare from either Detroit or Flint.Does anybody know of anything.Please let me know if you know of any

If your sister is close to Detroit, she could drive to Toledo, Ohio and fly Transmeridian Airlines depending on when she is leaving. Their flights begin August 28th and are $75.05 each way. I think the flight leaves Toledo around 7 am and returns around 7 pm (there's only one flight each way per day).
We're having problems finding cheap airfare, too, for the first week of December from DTW, DAY, CLE, or CMH.

The cheapest we could find was with AirTran in Flint. We are going in October and it cost about $219.00 each person round trip. They did have some web fares deals leaving Flint for Orlando for $69.00 one way, but we didn't want to arrive that late. The site is www.airtran.com.

Southwest out of Detroit. Keep in mind that there are NO direct flights out of DTW to MCO on SWA. She will have a stop or have to change planes at Midway in Chicago, St. Louis or Nashville or sometimes 2 of the above!

Saw where Spirit Air is running a big sale for mid Aug through mid Nov. Tickets have to be booked in the next few days, though!

Yes, Air Tran out of Flint is a great deal, we are flying out of there on 8-11, and want to get another ticket for a friend. This morning, the rate (with taxes and surcharges) was 161.50 RT, and that is a direct flight. Depending on how fast she wants to get there, or have to change planes, this is a good deal. They only have one direct flight a day to MCO, leaving at 7:35 am, getting there at 10:00 am, and returning the same; leaving at 7:45 pm, getting into Flint at 10 pm. That is great as you get the whole flying days to enjoy. You might want to keep checking as they change the rates daily (I've been watching). This is from the airtran.com web site. Good luck!

I say go out of Flint using AirTran or Delta. It is an easy airport
to get in and out of quickly. You don't have the hassles of the
big airport like Detroit does. AirTran usually has good fares going
to Orlando and they have even started direct flights to Orlando
too.

We met a couple in Chicago who took ATA from Flint to Orlando, but they had to do a connection at Chicago/Midway. Might be worth it if the price is right...they said they got a great deal. We use ATA all the time from Chicago and really like them.

Hi, not sure on when you are looking for this, but I just got a email today from airtran airways net escape, and they are running a very good deal. It's only good Aug. 25-Oct 8th, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thur and Sat. It also must be purchased by July 24th. I did a search just to see what it would be, and I did it in Sept. going on a Monday, coming home on a Friday (just to see how much higher it would be on a Friday). From Flint to Orlando, non-stop it was $69.00 both ways (no different on Friday) and with the taxes, it was a total of $151.50 That is the lowest I have seen. You can find that by going to airtran.com and then just doing a search. Good luck to ya.

Another happy air tran user! Flint Bishop airport is great, easy to navigate, and small! I am so happy to put Metro behind me except for International travel! Air tran has frequent sales, and has one nonstop a day to MCO. You can sign up for their email deals on their website. If you don't know the area well, it is right off I-75 just south of I-69 so very easy to get to from various areas of Michigan.
