all ideas welcome -- I am getting stocking stuffers for teen girls and boys -- not all are my own kids.

Any and all ideas very welcome . I'm looking for funstuffers and some practical ones too.:cool1:

Mascara
nail polish
magazine?
Eyelash curler
nail file
lip gloss
Chapstick

Fingerstache tattoo
socks
gum
hand sanitizer from Bath And Body Works in fun holiday smells
itunes gift card
Starbucks gift card

Check on some of the Target endcaps. In my local Target they had sets of Old Spice/Axe deoderant body spray duos for $2.54. This Target aslo had either Secret or Dove for the same price.

If you are near the store Five Below, check them out. There are always fun things there.

My 14 year old daughter loves fun and funky socks.. the crazier the better. She also likes plain Chapstick. My soon to be 17 year old is not like most other kids.. he'd like more flash drives, and computer stuff (but not Itunes cards!). My son would also like high quality drawing pencils/sketchbooks.

If you can manage it, they both also like lounge wear.. flannel pants, comfy slippers, etc. Old Navy now has fleece hats with headphones in them-they are called Technohats (or something like that).

Batteries-- all kinds of things require batteries. (AA)
Nice razor sets- the Quattro/Venus for women (with cartridges) and the Schick/or that other one-its orange/black for men.

Our stockings are usually traditionally filled.....apples & oranges, some chocolate...hershey kisses, etc, toothbrush, deodorant, gum (5 gum - a big treat to have gum here), itunes card, maybe a little more candy (starburst, tic tacs, etc). Pretty simple and basic.

You could add mittens or socks. Old Navy has girls/womens fuzzy socks for $2.50 and gloves for $1.50 for 2.

Check out the travel size section at Walmart...sometimes they have lip gloss, lip balm(for boys), also school supplies like mechanical pencils are a big treat.

earbuds
card games (Uno, scrabble slam, etc)
gloves
slim jims
candy
gum
fast food gift cards
hot cocoa packets (my Walmart had individual peppermint cocoa packets for .57)
gel pens
hair accessories
magic washcloths (Dollar Tree)
bookmarks
notepad

scratch lottery tickets - you'll have to redeem the winnings for them or another adult will have to.

We celebrate Hanukkah and do smaller, practical gifts that are similar to what a stocking stuffer would be.

I think it is highly dependent on what your teenagers are like and what your family is like. My nephew who is 13 is very studious, "techie," and more on the quiet side. This year, I got him:

- cable clips to keep his gadget chargers organized
- a replacement head for his Sonicare toothbrush
- some replacement styluses for his Nintendo DS
- a T-shirt he has been wanting from threadless
- $20 worth of movie ticket vouchers for our local cinema
- $10 to the Apple app store
- some seed packets (he has been talking about wanting to grow tomatoes this summer)
- gelt (chocolate coins for playing dreidel - I know many Christian families that use them as stocking stuffers too)

thanks guys! I knew the parents on the budget board could give me some ideas. :cool1:

if you are just now reading this, please, by all means, keep the ideas coming!

Target Dollar spot has some stationary with initials (if you have names) and other silly things like slinkies that teens might not mind getting for fun...

Michael's has some stuff in their various "spots" by the registers and on end caps. Often on sale for pennies on the dollar.

Nail polish

sorry--can't think of much else as I am a girl.

My kids are still young, but we put in tooth care stuff--new spin brush.
Hair accessories (If you have H+M, you can get some really inexpensively--also good for funky jewelry)

My son gets hot wheels cars.

Don't forget CANDY!

Target has some very cute Lindt chocolates that are holiday themed (angels, santa's sleigh, snow men, etc...)

Check the cheap DVD's. I found some that I thought folks would enjoy from the Black Friday deals. They probably have run out by now--but I do know Walmart has their $5 bin on a regular basis and you might find some fun movies that a teen would like.

Wish I could help more on the guys. I just dunno and my guy is still in pre-school. He's going to love his Cars-themed boy-squinkies.:lmao:

I know it's too late for this year...but i usually start collecting things all year long and fill my little girls stocking for almost nothing. You can usually find free candy/gum (I know at CVS on tday I got 6 different candies for free), make up with coupons sometimes free, lip gloss is almost always free at some point at walgreens and cvs, sample size lotions (lots of times bath and bodyworks has a free item without purchase required), pens/pencils (free at Staples or Office depot), movies, gift cards, we have a sock obsession so there are always a couple of pair in her stocking. I also pick up jewelry when I have a $10 off $10 at Kohls or JC Penny.

Walk around your local drug store like Wal Greens or CVS. There's plenty of stuff around. I picked up a travel size of Axe deoderant at Wal Greens last year for my son. It was less than $1.50.

I also found hair tie lollipops for $2.99 at Wal Greens for my daughter this year. Russell Stover has a $1,000,000 chocolate candy bar.

Toothbrushes. My kids are all the time leaving theirs at someones home.

Baseball, Football, Magic, etc cards.

Inexpensive jewelry.

Chocolate coins.

Santa's coal.

Miniature snowglobes.

Christmas pens/pencils.

Character bandaids. My daughter is almost 21 and she still likes to wear them.

Glow sticks, bracelets, necklaces would be a big hit I bet.

A great place for teen girl stocking stuffers that nobody has mentions is Claire's or Icing, especially if you are buying for more than one. They frequently have their clearance items (under ten bucks originally) ten for ten dollars. Hair stuff, lip glosses, jewelry, eyeshadow kits, nail polish, and other stuff, too. The stock changes frequently, with each store generally having a completely different selection.

And while you're in the mall, you might as well stop in Bath and Body Works and grab a few of whichever lotion sample is on sale for a dollar, or maybe a few of the on-the-go hand sanitizers.

Hot Topic 50% off clearance is also a great place for little stuff for under a dollar.

There was another thread about this recently. Someone suggested fun Band-Aids. I found small bright-colored flashlights for about $4.00 each on sale at JC Penney. I just got the Trader Joe's flyer today -- there were some neat things in there -- little packets of bite-size dark chocolate peanut butter cups for 99 cents and some other things I'm going to pick up for my two boys.

I love Dollar Tree!!
Fuzzy Gloves
Fuzzy Socks
Bath Salts
Lotion
Nail polish
Lipgloss
Hair things
stationary
Earphones
Key chains
Candy
Christmas ornaments
lots of other fun ideas
check several different stores- as different stores can have different items.

Trial sizes of shampoos, deodorants and body washes are nice for the kids' gym bags.
Inexpensive stretch gloves to keep in the coat pockets for when they either forget or lose their good gloves.
Packets of gourmet hot chocolate.
Gum, breath mints, toothbrush, floss
Pocket comb

playing cards (you know the old fashioned kind for playing poker)
poker chips and/or quarters (or depending upon your budge nickels) for said poker games
fleece hat & gloves
small picture frames (even guys like these for those special pictures)
candy & chocolate
if musical - guitar picks (my local music store sells them 4/$1 :cool2: )

My oldest DS still loves those little tiny lego sets.
pocket knives - amazon has some for @ $5.

small frisbees
superballs
poppers http://www.amazon.com/Large-Marblei...7O7K/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1322796539&sr=8-2
mini-slinkys (can be sometimes be had at Target Dollar stop for $1)
mini-nerf guns

DD's stocking is always a mix of practical little things she needs and then fun items.
One thing she'll be getting for certain is tights. She only has one pair without holes right now and needs them for her school. Cute socks, batteries, toothbrushes, magazines, puzzle books, fun pens, chocolate, gum, bath stuff, make up items, itunes card, hair accessories etc.:)

I second the monkeys!!!!! :thumbsup2
I bought a dozen screaming monkeys (superfly) last year!!! What a hit with the kids AND the adults!!! At first I was like what am I gonna do with 12 darn monkeys LOL but by the end of the day I wish I bought 12 more!!!! No one around here ever saw them before so they were going crazy for them! :rotfl:
