Looking for budget (cheap) but decent waterproof camera

I've posted on the Budget Board too but maybe I'll get different opinions here?

I'm not much of a picture taker but I've been wanting a waterproof camera for a while and we'll be taking our first ever cruise next August

I've looked into Fujifilm's waterproof camera (about $150) but there are some horrible reviews out there.

Sony has one - Cyber Shot TX10 - but it's around $300. Add to that the case and memory card(s) = ouch to the pocketbook!

What waterproof camera would you recommend to a broke novice?

If you already have a camera, you could just get a waterproof housing for it. We did that for our 12 yo and it has worked very well for her--much less expensive than buying her a new camera!
