Aisling I’m glad to hear that someone ales has also noticed the price directly from Disney.

The advance purchase price of tickets from Disney is usually better than the brokers. The charge for tickets to be shipped from Disney is 3.00 per order.

However, in the prices you quoted, you failed to include the 6.5% tax, which brings the prices up to 231.11 and 254.54 respectively.

The brokers prices are usually better than Disney gate prices.

There is a chart that compares the prices of advance purchase vs. gate prices right here. This, unlike Disney, includes the 6.5% tax.

Be sure that you are comparing apples to apples here. Be sure that you are comparing the prices of Park Hopper Pluses with Park Hopper Pluses and Park Hoppers with Park Hoppers. Also, as Gail has noted Disney does not include taxes in their prices, the brokers generally do.

What I have found is that Disney advance purchase has a better price on PLAIN park hoppers. The brokers generally have better prices on park hoppers PLUSES.

Ohhh, Ok NOW I got it! Sorry it took me a little while to figure out the price differences here. Thank you so much for explaining it me. Since we are only interested in doing the parks I think I will stick with the 5 day PH at the local Disney store. Thank you again!

The easiest way is to go to http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/waltdisneyworld/index in the upper right hand there is a link called “Reservations & Tickets” on the next page click on the “Purchase tickets and passes” link. This will bring you to the page where you can choose the tickets you want to view from the drop down box.

I quoted the price for the 5day park hopper*PLUS* ticket prices listed on the Disney website not the Ultimate PHs (for 5days which are $281). Just wanted to clear that up.

I started this thread on Sept 30. I have followed every lead possible from all the DIS replies (as well as other disney boards) and have come to the conclusion that the lowest possible price for 2 - 5 day Park Hopper PLUS passes, including taxes and postage, is still Paramount. Two PHP passes delivered to my door will cost $493. Yes?

If you join hotwiresavings club for the free one month trial you can get two 5 day PHP passes for $473.52. There were no additional shipping charges on any of the items I purchased and after the first order every other one arrived in 4-5 days. Good luck with your choice.

Does anyone know whether or not the regular 5-day park hopper tickets (not PLUS passes) that you purchase in advance through Disney are the paper-type tickets or the plastic type?

Many of the tickets now purchased from Disney and The Disney Stores come on the hard plastic cards similar to your resort ID's. These plastic tickets are only available from Disney. You cannot get them at AAA or any non-Disney source

The 4 7 day PHP passes we purchased from paramount would not work the first day we went to the parks - the person at the turnstile said they must have been demagnetized and sent us into guest relations who replaced them immediately. The ones we got in the mail were the paper type and the ones they gave us at guest relations were also paper. Last year the ones I got directly from Disney by mail were the hard plastic and when we misplaced one and had to have it replaced at MGM the new one was paper.

I'm looking for the 5 day park hopper plus tickets that have <b>4</b> plus features. Does anyone know if these are still available? I know Mousesavers was advertising a special on these last month, but I think that offer expired. Are the 5 day PHP tickets from Hotwire Savings Club and Paramount 5-plus-2 or 5-plus-4?

The last that I was aware, Paramount was selling the regular 5 Day 2 Plus Hopper.

I don't know which, if any, brokers have these available right now.
