Help my vacation is falling apart. My flight is booked Monday to Monday and we had reservations for Disney and when we went to extend it by two days the value we were booked at was booked up so they said they could accomodate us only if we booked the whole week at POR so when we phoned back to book that it was booked up also. So now we only have reservations for until Sat and our flight doesn't leave until Monday morning. I need to find accomodation (hopefully cheap) for my husband, myself and our five kids (one under two). Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would look at the Marriott Village. There is a Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Springhill Suites. They are all nice hotels and close to the parks and DTD.

I second the off-site suggestion. For the price of two value rooms, you could probably rent a spacious condo, save tons of money on food, and be SO much more comfortable. We only have four kids, but I'd almost as soon stay home as put them all in a couple of hotel rooms.

Could you keep your on-site booking and then just add a few more nights at a cheaper hotel off-site? If so, you could bid on Priceline if you take the time to study up on it a bit. The link to learn about bidding is: www.biddingfortravel.com
With Priceline, you won't be able to select the exact hotel, but you will get a nice place if you bid Resort or 4*. You will get a fairly nice place if you bid 3* or 2.5* Be sure to bid for 2 rooms.

Have you considered renting points off the DVC board here and staying at one of the DVC resorts? Not sure what that would cost you, but I know they rent points for around 9 or 10 per point. Maybe getting two studios that are adjoing if possible? It might be easier and you would have disney transportation and the bell hop services. Just a thought.

Good Luck finding a place.

With 5 kids Priceline really wouldn't work out. You can bid for more than 1 room, but that doesn't mean they'll be next to one another or even in the same building. I've found the Priceline hotels in Orlando to be great about giving rooms w/ 2 beds. BUT-- we have reserved 2 rooms twice this way. The one time the rooms were in building 1 & 5 and there was no way they were going to be any closer. So, w/ that number of children in the traveling party- I'd avoid Priceline.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I was up all night surfing and we stumbled upon Nickelodeon. We were able to get a two bedroom suite that is big enough for all of us at a very reasonable rate. It looks like a fun place to just sort of hang around for the last two days of our stay.
We were originally going to rent a house but decided to go onsite just for the convenince of being there for disney and also the large theming of ASMo seemed perfect for our young kids. Next time we will definately rent a house off site.
