Looking for a Wii expert

We already have Beatles Rock Band and the guitar. I would like to get the Taylor Swift Band Hero along with a drum kit for the kids. Will the guitar I have work okay with Band Hero and will I need a certain drum kit to go with it?

Also, anyone know where I can get the drum kit? I called a couple of places and they said they don't carry them.

Found this info on the Activision site:

Band Hero is compatible with all previous Guitar Hero Wii guitars.

Band Hero is also compatible with all Rock Band 1 & 2 Instruments such as the guitar, bass, drums, and microphone.

Band Hero is compatible with all Guitar Hero drum sets.

Band Hero is compatible with the Guitar Hero and Rock Band microphones (Logitech Microphones).

Band Hero Wii is NOT compatible with any instruments from The Beatles: Rock Band.

I saw a super bundle on Amazon for the Taylor Swift game, guitar, mic and drums for $179.99.

last time i was in best buy, they had a stack of band hero complete kits for 69 bucks!!
it was all for the ps3 and 360, but it might be worth checking out a BB around you... thats a great deal..
and wal mart still carries the band hero bundles for the wii.

You can more then likely get a used copy at Gamestop. Just make sure to get the game play guarantee. A game play guarantee will let you exchange a scratched or broken game within 1 year of purchase. You must keep the receipt showing the guarantee.

You can use Rockband set with Band Hero. You just can't go into star mode without the Band Hero drum set.

However, you may not mix kit pieces. Meaning, you can't use a Rockband Guitar with a Guitar Hero Drums. The game just won't recognize it, you can play with one or the other.

I do know that Rockband works with Band Hero, because I have played it that way, on the Wii. I picked up all the Rockband stuff at Old Navy last year (drums were full price at Gamestop), and then found a Blockbuster going out, and picked up the other games. Didn't have a single issue playing.
