Looking for a video camera

I'm looking to buy a video camera and could really use some advice/recommendations.

I'm not looking to spend a huge amount of money...maybe around $500. Can I get a good one for that price?

I also don't know what kinds of features are available, but I would like to be able to take a frame from a video and print a pic from it.

We recently bought a Flip video camera and I LOVE it. They're very small, but take excellent video. For me, the most important thing was to be able to actually DO something with the video, rather than let the tapes just sit on a shelf. The Flip comes with super easy to use video editing software, which means I actually can make cute little videos.

It wasn't very expensive, I think I got it on Amazon for about $130. They have HD ones too, but those are a bit more.

That video looks great! And $130 is far less than I thought I would have to spend. What is the brand of your camera?

Flip is the brand name It's called that because the USB plug flips out from the side of the camera!
