Looking for a Mouse Ear Safari Hat I once owned...

Hello all!

About 10 years ago we went to WDW. I found the coolest hat! It was like a straw-like safari type kinda hat that had Mickey ears ontop. I'm looking for another one and I don't even have the slightest clue as to what it would even be called.

Anyone know what I'm talkin about? Or even better, where I could buy another one?

I'll have the photoshop together a picture of what I'm talkin about (or maybe find a pic with me wearing it).

Any help would be great!

I know what you are talking about, as I have that hat! I got my mine back in Sept.2000, so I am not sure if WDW still sells them or not. But you could try calling them and see if you can buy one from them or look on Ebay for it.

A Mickey Mouse Safari Hat. Mine say's Animal Kingdom on it and thats where a bought mine.

My dd bought that hat last October at Animal Kingdom. Soooo cute! Our dog ate it the day after we came home . Try calling marketing I bet you can order it from them. Good luck!!

Talked to really nice lady over there. She said it was called a "Pith Helmet" and was discontinued. I looked up a "Pith Helmet" and I don't quite think that's what it looked like. I'm not sure though, I'll have to dig through some old pictures and find the thing.

It's not in perfect shape and it has been worn but if you want it.....it's yours.
I can send you a picture by email. The straw is weak in some places but the rest is ok.

It is called a Pith helmet. Most of them have a hard hat. I think the "Pith Helmet" term refers to the shape of the hat, not the material the hat is made from.
