Looking for a little advice

So myself, DH and DD are heading to the World in June staying at AKL. What I would like to know is what activity can I plan for DH and I to spend a little quality time together. DD is 12 and we have walkie talkies. I'm kind of at a loss as what we can do just for us. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I don't have a 12 yo (yet)... So I can't comment on what she will be doing while you have time for "you." But, if you are comfortable with letting her swim w/less supv., maybe you can hang out at the pool bar. You could have her hang out at the arcade while you two hang out at the lounge.

I'm interested to hear the responses. I'm thinking she's too old for the children's clubs but a bit too young to let her have free reign of the World while you two re-acquaint! Good luck! There's got to be people here with better ideas than me!

I think 12 is actually the cap age on the childrens clubs. If so, I would send her there for awhile. They play video games and such.
As for "adult together time" there are carriage rides, or specialty cruises. Also, how about a special dinner at someplace like Artist Point, or Yachtmans Steakhouse.

Your DD is 12? She can participate in the Children's Activity centers, and you and DH can go to Pleasure Island, or out to a special dinner at Victoria & Alberts together, there's a lot you can do. And if you trust your daughter, you could go shopping together w/dh and let you DD go to Disney Quest.

There is probably some kind of activity program for children around your daughter's age. When I was around that age, my parents sent my sister and I on one of those behind the scenes tours while they had some time to themselves, and we loved it.
