Another garmin nuvi recommendation. I have 2 of them in our cars and various other garmin handheld, boating, aviation models ,and even one on my bicycle. I really like how since you learn to use one, they all work basically the same so the controls, menus, etc are basically the same.
Another thing to know is they all do the same thing off of the same satellites from the cheapest el cheapo model to the most expensive ones that can land your airplane, the difference is in the features they can all do. Go to any electronics store and most department stores,
Best Buy, Bass Pro, etc and they have them there to play with on display.
A word of caution, don't listen to the minimum wage 18 year old that works there and go solely on their "knowledge." They are all about as knowledgeable on this type of product as if they were working at the burger joint. Do your own due diligence, look at the manufacturer websites, and have an idea of which models do what you want and are in your budget before yo ueven leave the house to look at them. As I said, they all do the exact same thing, so find the one with the features you want.
