Looking for a good bag

For our upcoming WDW trip, I am looking for a new bag or backpack to take on the trip. I am not a fan of fanny packs and for the past several years have been using a backpack purse that has worked well, but is falling apart after years of Disney trip usages. I have seen someone with a bag that I thought was great, but through multiple internet searches have not been able to find.

Small one strap purse/sling/backpack, that goes across the chest and has pinch style clip on the strap to adjust or to release from yourself. The purse is almost triangle in shape and has a zipper closure.

Anyone have any ideas or can point me to links on the web?

Thanks in advance

I just got a really cool bag from QVC by Travelon it a expdb bag w/cell phone holder. Int. price is $23+ order # is F00616 if you go to the QVC site.

I was looking at that bag on QVC. Do you think it's big enough to hold a water bottle?

I just put a 1 pt bottle of water in it with no problem. :cool1: It didn't even feel very heavy when I put it on.

Any more ideas.. Hoping for something that rests on the back vs the hip.

Thanks! I'm having such a hard time picking bags. QVC has some nice ones, but I wasn't sure if your bag would fit a water bottle. It sounds perfect.

I just bought a Donner and am excited to use it on our upcoming trip!

But it sounds like what your describing might be something like the Healthy Back Bags? The link is for LLBean...but I know they have knockoffs at other stores for cheaper.

I've never had one, but I have a friend who swears by them!

Best of luck with your search!

I got the LL Bean small messanger bag and I really like it.

I didnt see this thread and I just posted about the bag I got at Target. Similair to a sling that goes across the chest, but it sits at the hip. It is called a mono bag and is in the luggage dept for $15. I looked for a picture couldnt find it...anyway it has two zippered pouches, and an inner pocket for key cards and such. the pouch is big enough to carry a couple bottles of water and whatever else you may need to bring.Has some sort of gripper button on the outside, maybe to hang sunglasses on a rope on. Nice shoulder pad. Fanny packs make my back ache! It is just my DH and I so we wont need to bring alot of stuff!

My vote goes to the LL Bean Healthy Back Bag.I've used it during my last 3 theme park trips and it worked just great. It has many pockets for all your essentials. It is worn over the shoulder and the weight is distributed in a way that you hardly know that you are wearing it. I happened to be on the Bean site last night and saw that they have added a new version to the HBB line. Its lightweight nylon and can be stuffed in its own pouch. I'm going to the store to check it out tomorrow. We have a trip to BG Williamsburg planned in 2 weeks, so I'd like to purchase it by then. I'll let you know what I think.

I got this Baggallini bag and love it! It was recommended on the DIS boards. I haven't used it yet at Disney, but have used it when just out and about shopping and love it. It's lightweight (unless you load it with stuff) and very comfy.

thanks..I will have to look at target, in the luggage area. Haven't looked there before I finally found this one after some searching using mono sling...

This is pretty close to what I was looking for.

Thats pretty close to it. It really is a nice bag. I was really looking for something cheap but $15 is really a decent price. Unfortunately I dont think it is something that will go on sale.

The bagalini is just a little larger than we need as it is just DH and I/

I was looking at this bag! Can you tell me more about it? I was thinking of either the mini messenger bag or the small messenger bag. The mini might be too small though, but is the small too big? I see it has a front flap and then is their a zipper inside? And does it have compartments? How does the strap feel? I'm not used to wearing a bag like this and wonder if the strap would bother me? The mini looks like a smaller strap, maybe that wouldn't bother me as much. Thanks for the help!

First I tried the Baggallini and that strap was horrible for me. Too wide, too heavy and rubbed my neck. So I tried the LL Bean. The strap is so comfortable! It is padded, stays in place and does not have the heavy buckle like the Baggallini. I can wear it like a purse, cross it in front or back. Personally I like it to ride on my back.

I debated about the mini and the small too. But I wanted to carry my camera and video camera. I wish I would have ordered both! I love it so much!

It does have a flap with no pockets, it straps for security. On the bag is a large pocket for papers, etc. Inside the flap is several smaller pockets. The main pocket has a zipper and is divided in two sections. It has a side pocket for sunglasses (or whatever). It's about 12"x9".

My only complaint is I wish the strap was longer. I am, let's say, well endowed which makes the bag ride higher then I like.

So far, it's my favorite.

I will be using my Curves Comfort Sling Pack from Avon. It is extremely comfortable. It has the padded straps with a built in cell phone holder. There is a mesh pocket on the front, smaller zip compartment with pockets, and then the larger zip compartment with plenty of room for a water bottle and then some. There's also a snack chiller and water bottle pouch available.

check the main avon site for more details.

The GAP actually has great bags!! They're mainly marketed toward men, but they're very comfortable, practical, and have a ton of pockets! I have one that I bought years back and I'm planning on using it on our trip as our "park bag"

HTH!!

:confused3 What do you do with your bag while on the rides?

I've always worn a hip pack and just left it buckled to me when I went on a ride. This trip I'd like something which doesn't go around my waist, but the idea of my money and passes 'not on me' scares me. What do you do?
