looking for a cool watch for DD11

Anyone have an idea for a budget watch for my DD11? Needs to NOT have any licensed characters on it. Nothing little kid-ish. Neon colors are good, maybe with a bit of bling.

Kids don't really wear watches anymore. Everyone just uses their phone or other electronic devices to see the time. My kids are 8 & 10 and neither they nor any of their friends wear watches. Even I stopped a few years back, it's just more convenient to check my phone.

Actually both my kids wear watches. DS16 is a scout and not always practical to carry his phone (though he wears the watch all the time anyway). DD11 just has one she likes to wear (and she doesn't have a phone either).



OP, not sure whether you want digital or regular watch. I just did a quick look at Target online- they have a variety of bright color watches (there's an option to do a search by color) that look "fun" to me. (Though I'm not 11

My whole family wears their watches, even my preteens We don't have fancy gadgets and electronics so I guess a watch is a must for us.

Last summer, my kids asked for watches (10 and 11) at the time. I said "a watch...who wears a watch? LOL" Well aparently alot of the kids their age!
It had to be a G-shock though! DS12, well now 12, never wears it. Ds10 never takes it off!

How about a swatch watch? Yes, believe it or not they still exist. Their website has a lot of designs and there are stores around too. DD got one when she was about 12 and loves it.

my daughter just got a watch at Justice. It is neon and the face lights up with neon colors. she loves it and so do all of her friends! it wasn't very expensive.

My DD will be 11 in June. She loves my watch. It's a pink rubber watch (comes in other colors) that I got at Kohl's for about $14. It has "diamonds" around the face.

My dd12 is lost when without her watch. There are times that using a phone just isn't practical for her - for instance no cell phones on at school, no cell phone on the ice while skating, while at dance class etc. I believe she has a Timex sports watch. She likes her watch to be water resistant. I know some of her friends where watches even though most have cell phones.

JcPenney had some really cool neon watches that light up. Got my daughter a blue one. She's 13 and loves it.
