Can any of you recommend a casual independent Italian restaurant near Disney? We aren't big on chains so think something like an Olive Garden but not as generic. We like little family owned places. Price range like OG perhaps $15 per person.

If you find one.....please let me know.

This is something that doesnt really exist in the Disney area.

I could've sworn I remember everyone discussing an off-site Italian restaurant near Disney. I'm assuming it is a no more then.

I had a very good meal at Cafe D'Antonio's in Celebration. When I ate there I was in shorts and a t-shirt and didn't feel out of place. The food was really good and the price was right.

I'm pretty picky about Italian food growing up in a family with off the boat Sicilians who took cooking pretty seriously and while I wouldn't call it worthy of what grandma makes it was much better then most.

Nonno's closed.

I agree with Frank. Caf D'Antonio is ok...but pricier than what Steve was asking about.

Not that I doubted you, Kevin, but I asked the same question of the concierge at our resort (Marriott's Cypress Harbour) and got the exact same answer. It was either Olive Garden or Carrabba's on the low end or Antonio's and Ciao Italia on the high end. Nothing in the middle. Nothing independent.

I'm quite amazed that there isn't an Italian place anywhere around. There is a Chinese place on every corner (we did take out from Citrus Garden on Vineland Ave. tonight). And there are tons of pizza places. Why is it that the area hasn't attracted some good Italian restauranteurs?

We like Pacinos. http://www.pacinos.com/index.php it is right on 192. BUT as Kevin always says....it is our opinion that it is good and someone else may not care for it. We haven't been there for two years either. But the last few times we were, it was delicious.

We may check them out, hideeh. We've driven past it a hundred times but have never eaten there. The menu looks great. Has anyone else been there?

Has anyone eaten at Bruno's on west 192? We checked into our condo at Windsor Palms today and there was a menu for them in the lobby.
