How about a pool home. Often cheaper than hotel rooms the pools are great, no rules, no other guests, and if you pick the right one, no neighbors.
Perfect for a midnight dip!
I agree--pool home. You can swim whenever the urge strikes. Windsor Hills and Emerald Island are both very close to DW. I know there are other places, but those are the ones I know. Not only cheaper than onsite hotel, but probably quicker drive than DW trans.
Comfort Suites Maingate East. Their pool is open 24 hours. Check out reviews on tripadvisor.com. We are staying there next weekend, so I can't recommend the hotel yet, but that's the only one I've seen that has a pool open 24 hours.
Agree with other posters too about a pool home. We rented one in Indian Creek over the summer...1 week with extended family (12 of us). It was nice to have the pool right out the back door and to have a normal kitchen. But for me, it didn't seem like vacation since we had no daily maid service and we were eating at the house a lot. Great way to save money, but we don't eat out a lot at home and vacation is when we do. Probably won't rent a home again for those reasons, just my preferences though. That and although I love my in laws, it was too much family time for me.
