looking for 2 bedroom suite at decent price

My husband and I are planning a trip to disney the 3rd week of Sept. 07 and we are looking for a 2 room suite for a good affordable price. He snores and I need a separate room from him so that I can get at least some sleep while on vacation.

Any ideas? I looked at most of the resorts and didn't see any suites under $1000. We could get two separate hotel rooms for less than that a night. We thought about trying to find a room in the moderate hotels b/c I wanted to stay in a new place but we may be stuck back in the value resort with 2 separate rooms if I can't find anything else that we can afford. We were hoping to find a suite for about $200 a night. Anyone heard of these types of rooms onsite at disney?

Any help would be appreciated?

Two rooms and affordable price don't usually go together on the Disney property. You could check out the family suites at, I think, All Star Music. That is a dedicated suite, not just 2 connecting rooms. Other than that, you could check out the DVC Forum here at the DIS and look into renting points. Although, with the trip planned so close, and at the end of free dining, you might be better off looking at the Orlando Board that reviews off site locations.

I live with a pretty bad snorer myself and whenever we can, we try to get 2 rooms. If that doesn't work, I take Tylenol PM, put in my ear plugs and hope for a good nights sleep . Here are a couple of on-site options that would offer you separate sleeping areas and be close to your budgeted amount:

AllStar Family suites - offer a separate bedroom, living room and small kitchen area, sleeps 6 @ $179

FW Cabin - definitely not roughing it, bedroom with bed and bunk beds, living room with murphy bed, full kitchen $249

Off-site options include the Doubletree Suites in Downtown Disney. Those average about $189 per night.

The one bedroom at a DVC might work. Everyone reports that the pullout couches at Saratoga Springs are an actual mattress. So one sleeps in the bedroom, and the other sleeps on the pull-out. These are going for $260 a night in September. Or you could go to the DVC board and rent points.

The Family Suites at All Star Music start at $179 a night during value season in 2007.

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) last Sept. (2006)

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no meatle bar to hurt the sleepers back.

Is this with a code? When I looked it up, the price I got was $370 for a 1 bedroom at SSR.

It sounds like you'd like the All Star Family Suites! They are large, with two bathrooms and a kitchenette.

That's an excellent deal. Not sure if the OP wanted to go over $200 a night, but for $60 more than their budget amount, they get 714 square feet, jacuzzi tub and a balcony.

Last October we rented points for a 2-bedroom villa. We scheduled that part of our trip to be Sunday to Thursday, so it used less points. That way the cost of the 2-bedroom villa at the Beach Club was the same as we would have paid for 2 rooms at POR.
