Well I promised I would let you know what happened at her it is.

Our date started at 11 am and ended at 10 pm.

I met her at a local Borders store and we left for the Museum of Science and Industry and had a great time. We bought each other one of those molded platics figures and were able to see everything in 3 hours.

Once we left we headed to a resturant called Houlihan's and had a really nice dinner. By the time we were done, the rain had let up and we walked for a couple hours at the outdoor mall chating, holding hands and enjoying each others company.

After that we took a drive to a park and chatted, held hands and :love2: and :love2:. At 9:45 I took her back to her car and we had the longest good buy kiss I have ever seen. Neither one of us wanted the other to leave, but we knew we needed to.

I'm happy to say that after this very very successful date, we decided to start dating as boyfriend/girlfriend and our next date is next Saturday when we are planing to go see a movie and get a bit to eat. We are ready to see where this goes, but we both believe that this could be the start of a very long relationship and possibly the one we have been waiting for.

This date went better than either one of us had expected, and we really like each other alot. I think that what made this work so well was the fact that we both had talked IM, E-mail and by phone a bunch last week and already knew a ton when we actually saw each other.

The great thing is that I wish I still had her in my arms right now. I mean she has the softest hands I have every felt and the softest lips I have ever seen.

By the way she loved the single, purple rose I gave and was floored when I gave it to her. She did tell me later that she was very nervous about our date and couldn't sleep at all Saturday night. So it seem that I wasn't the only one. I do now know that her favorite flowers are white roses and Lilies. I plan on sending her a dozen white roses to her office for delivery on Tuesday.

Awesome! Glad you had such a great time. You sound like you would be a great date and that you actually put some time into planning the date. Good to see it working out for you. Have fun on your next date!

Aww.. your date sounds so sweet. I am sure she will appreciate the roses on Tuesday. I am happy for you that you might have found "the one", but take it slow. Best wishes! :wizard:

ADisneygirl,

Don't worry we are taking it slow There is a big difference between kissing and stuff like that and the special imtimancy thing ( you know what I'm talking about). We really like each other and have so much in common and this really all just flowed together perfectly like a piece of music.

Skylarr29,

Sorry it took so long, but we did have an 11 hour first date, which shows something was going right. Neither one of us wanted the date to end that's how much of a great time we were having.

So glad you had fun! I'm sure she will love the roses you will have delivered as well!

azgal81,

She is going to send me her work address, because I had to ask to make sure she can get deliveries sent there. She told me that when flowers come in for people all the women in the office go nuts and ooh and ahh.

Jason, I'm so glad to see your date went well (I saw you other post about being anxious yesterday)

How did you meet her? I saw where you said you have talked in IM's. Did you meet her on the internet?

I met my wife, Lauri (MeanLaureen - another one of the DIS mods) on the internet. We had a great first date like you guys. :)

Good luck to you and your new love!

Obi-Wan Pinobi,

I met her through Yahoo personals and it was fate. You see she hadn't check hers in 3 or 4 months and on the day I sent her something about liking her profile she decided to check. From then on we clicked and we knew that something was going on in our favor. We both agreed today that we both believe the theory that there is someone out there for each of us, and that something brought us together after all these years of looking for that special person.

Sounds like a great date. I know the take it slow thinking BUT sometimes you just know. My DH and I dated less than one month when he proposed. We just knew. : ) It felt right. We were married about 10 months later and have been married 11 years and have two great kids. Oh and my mom introduved us - the first time she has ever set me up in my life (it only takes one time)

Have a wonderful 2nd date............

Jason
That is cool! I met Lauri on AOL personals! I had just recently moved to Richmond, Va from living most of my life in Georgia and was trying to figure out the best way to meet someone. Lauri had just gotten out of a bad marriage and her friends were pestering her to start dating and the rest was history. We were married 9 months after our first date and we have been married 7 yrs this November. :) Hope you have the same kind of luck that we did. :)

Glad the date went well. You must have been posting here, when I replied to the other thread. I sent you a PM awhile ago. You haven't seen it it yet.

Ok,

I'm sending flowers to her office for Tuesday and I'm not sure which one to do:

I asked DW Lauri which one she liked better - she said definitely the roses. Lilies can sometimes have a very strong odor that can be offensive to some people and if she's going to have them in her office some sensitive people may have problems.

Disney Hot Mama,

In this case we just know. Yes we are waiting to do the special Intimacy think until later on (obviously), but we can still have fun doing every thing else ;) .

After we started e-mailing, IMing and talking on the phone last week we new even before our first date that there was something special happening between us and we couldn't explain how we knew.

Obi-Wan Pinobi,

Thanks for asking your wife. I will go with the roses once I get her address from her Monday morning when she e-mails me.

Stacerita,

There was some planning on my part. From the flower to the romantic music as we sat at the park, I did what I could. Obviouly the romantic music was on the hopes that she was going to have a great time and I would have a chance to use it which both happened. She knew that I planned the music and had to fess up to her, but she loved it.

This is WONDERFUL!!!!!! Yea!!!! You must keep us updated on every single thing.

Congrats on a great date. What molds did you buy each other? I have an Abe Lincoln one.:)

I agree about the roses. Much prettier and smell great!
