Look what I found-Purple Datura

DH and I went for a walk down by the Tennessee River yesterday and I found these growing on the banks of the River. pulled up 2 very small plants and brought them home. (I know shame on me)

Will have to go back and get a pic because these are different than any I have seen around here the blooms are solid purple not purple on the outside and white inside.

When they bloom and set seed I will mail out to anyone who would like some.

What a great find! I just love discovering flowers.

Over the weekend I found bell flowers growing over the fence in the back where I pile my garden twigs,leaves and weeds.

I had planted them in the flower garden last year or the year before. I must've tossed them as weeds when they came up. They'll be transplanted back into the garden with a label this time.

and they have perked up and are looking very happy in their new home....fingers crossed
