I don't envy your having to make this decision Tony. I live out in Los Angeles for a couple of years and missed my family so much that I ended up moving back to Ohio. I had the opportunity to move to Northern California shortly after Sue and I were married, but with two of us with roots, the decision to stay was a no brainer. Family and friends are very important to us too.

But look at it this way. You know that sooner or later, every DISer is going to move to Florida. You just got there in the first wave.

Seriously, I will keep you in my prayers. I know that you will make the right decision.

I hate making tough decisions. But, if there is no pay increase (directly) and no help with the moving expenses, you have to think about cost of living, how it will look if it s offered and you turn it down, and how much more $ it will take to get to WDW.

Well, I can understand wanting to be closer to your family.
I think I have a good arrangement. My mom lives in Knoxville TN and I live in Nashville. Close enough for emergencies, not close enough to drop by unannounced.

That's a tough one, TVT. I would wonder about the fact that they're not paying for the move, though... why not?

I can't say anything, I moved my folks down here when I moved from NY. I tell everyone that my umbilical cord was never cut! Right now the only reason I am not in Orlando and your "newsy" neighbor is because my Dad is still in Chattanooga. I have to be close to him.
