I can see that you have all been waiting for me to get here
to give you some readin' material today!

DS couldn't sleep in (could it have been the neighbor ringing the doorbell at 7:55 that woke him?? hmmm)

so he decided to drive the girls to bible school
and then he and I did our "breakfast out" together

nice to have a singleton for a change
you can actually have a conversation that is coherent

we went to the same little diner (um, hole in the wall)
and DS had the big breakfast for about two bucks
amazing that places like this make any money at all
the food is all homemade to order and so inexpensive!
I got a pancake that filled the entire plate, 65 cents.

I am not really a breakfast person
i prefer to have a cupcake, or a donut or cookie
or an ice cream sundae


instead of breakfast foods


but the pancake was very good
and I got to talk to DS undistracted for a long time
and that is a rarity

(i did have to compete with his cell phone texting just a bit!)

THen DS went to work and I got a few groceries
we are going on vacation, don' t need much
but the last drop of milk was used on one bowl of cereal this morn...
so I had to get milk for the last two days....


I hate milk.


My kids go through A LOT of it.

After bible school
two tag alongs joined me
so the girls are now playing
Mall Madness


and then we are going swimming
and friends are supposed to come join us for pool time this afternoon

DD13's contacts came in
and we picked them up on the way home from bible school

she is now all set for water park fun
and roller coaster madness


glasses are a pain on these type adventures!

DH thinks he needs a new vacation hat
he wants a bucket kind like DD10 has


I have not really seen men wear these, my own self....

sort of like this one


he has a lovely corona beer hat that onlyhas one hole in it
and a fishing hat that is camo with his license attached
but for some reason he thinks a new one is in order.....

Today the packing goal is DH's hat
sunglasses for all of us
(rounding them up, we wear them, so they are various places)

and swim goggles for three kids
I am debating the need for a few of our own beach towels
but don't think we will have room in the luggage

we can take towels from the vacation house to use

yesterday a foolish mole tried to swim in the pool overnight

and last night his equally foolish friend toad tried the same thing

we are placing bets on the color of the vacation van


last year it was orange
DH says white
I am guessing RED
DD13 guesses yellow, which may be her favorite color....
DD10 says she wants it to be light blue
or orange like last year

and DS isn't playing. Party pooper.

I have an update about Jessica's Aunt. The clot seems to be dissolving and it does not look like she will need surgery. She will be going for an MRI.

Everyone, please continue to pray for her complete recovery.

DH is busy programming in our vacation addresses
into the GPS


he loves this toy
we can be there in about 17 hours, driving from PA

DH came home before I was done with my duty

DD10 got an adorable haircut tonight

her hair behaves so well when it is all layered
