We are going to take him way out on the the golf course by the pond later.

We had a baby in our pool a couple years back. We took him to the canal and released him. No clue how he ended up in our pool, the closet lake and canal are a good ways off.

I hate when the indigo snakes get in the pool.

I wish that the critters that I find in our pool were still alive when I get to them. It has claimed a frog and a chipmunk already this season. :sad2:

awwwwwww he is so tiny and cute. when I read the title of your thread the first thing that popped into my head was something scarey like a gator or something. :rotfl2:

My neighbor had opossums in her pool and her pool house last weekend - little baby ones. I think she said three made it and one did not. She trapped them in an old rabbit cage and released them a few miles away. I hope they do not become road pizza!

Once in your pool - they become your pets!!! You can't get rid of those- you are obligated to take care of them!!!! :teeth: Just kidding!

And nobody missed their baby? :scared1: :rotfl:

We just opened our pool a few days ago and every morning that I've gone down to check on things, I've found a frog happily swimming around in the pool. I know it isn't the same frog because it's always a different size or has different coloring. I just scoop them up with the net and deposit them at the edge of the woods. I can just imagine these frogs hopping back into the woods to tell all their frog friends about the nice people who just opened up a brand, new pond in their backyard just for all the froggies to swim in. :)

Last summer we ran the pump 24/7, so anything that went swimming during the night ended up getting sucked into the skimmer. It didn't bother the frogs. They'd just sit in the skimmer basket until I rescued them, but I found other things, (small snakes, a few moles), that didn't always survive the trip through the skimmer. We were told that isn't necessary to run the pump during the night, so this summer it'll only run during the daytime. We've also finished up landscaping and filling in under the fence, so hopefully nothing too big will be able to crawl under and get in the pool.

Every morning I look out at the pool and pray I don't see something other than a frog swimming around. Creeps me out.

I wish too that the visitors to our pool were still alive in the morning - the pool has claimed the lives of a small squirrel and a giant black bird.

UGH!!!

A live turtle would be a refreshingly, sweet change.

the chipmunks like to swim in our pool. they're not good swimmers. :worried:

we've had Canadian geese and wild ducks stop by for a swim.

What a cute little turtle!

We get frogs in our pool sometimes. They do not do well in chlorine water for very long. We have had some funny times trying to catch the little critters!:rotfl2:They just don't seem to realize we are trying to help them!
The pool is totally enclosed by screen, but I guess they come in under the doors.

Oh, no. Dead chipmunks? That makes me feel a little bit better about not having a pool. That would be sad.

I can't believe the poster who let the baby out in the canal. How mean!! And isn't that illegal??? :rotfl:

Snakes! :scared1: If I ever found a snake in my pool...not only would I freak, I would be putting the "For Sale" sign up also!
