Lauri, that's gorgeous! I know how tough it can be when people put you down. I'm doing my master of architecture which is very drawing intense and it took all of my stubbornness not to quit the program after years of being told I sucked by my professors. Interestingly enough, in my third year there I had a visiting professor and he brought in a famous architect as a critic (neither of whom got the "memo" about who is "good" and who "sucks" so they looked at everyone with unbiased eyes) and I got rave reviews on my work from both of them, so I guess I couldn't have sucked THAT badly. Still it was a very rough couple of years and that still doesn't compare to having someone who supposedly loves you put you down!

That is a gorgeous pencil drawing and now that you've started drawing again would be a crime if you stopped.
