i wondr if expires=Tue, 08-May-2027 that means that is when they will have to renew there site because u have to pay for the sites u get off of google so i wonder......

it would also be the exact date for a ten year ban...

Actually it would be a twenty year ban....a ten year ban would the year 2017, not 2027. ;)

Cookies expire at different times than a site domain's renewal time. Virtualmagickingdom.com is up for renewal this year, and vmk.com is up for renewal next year. I've never heard of being able to purchase domains for decades at a time.

Actually, you can. You can purchase a domain name for up to 100 years...of course you have to pay for the 100 years up front @ 9.99/yr. :) But then it's yours forever!! BwaHaHa!

This isn't weird at all. It's just a persistent cookie and it has nothing to do with how long a domain name is registered. The only reason you saw it was because the PHP server had a hiccup.

And you really didn't see the cookie at all, just a reference to it...

:)

Who sells domain names for up to 100 years at a time? I've gotta see this one! :scared1:

I don't know about decades, but I know GoDaddy.com will sell you a domain for 10 years (1 decade). Possibly more, but I know they keep trying to get me to "lock in" my domains for that time... They give a price discount too... Heh.

So far I've resisted.
