Friday 30th September
We are at typhoon lagoon today; we arrive for the 10am opening and sit by the ketchakiddie creek. I have to say that after blizzard beach I was not impressed with t/lagoon, you can tell it’s an older park than blizzard beach. Im also not a lover of sand and the kids wanted to play in it so that put me off, the stuff goes everywhere.
Dh went on the crush and gusher and he took the kids on the family raft ride whilst I sat and read some more of my book.
We had lunch at leaning palms (burgers for dh and the kids and chicken sandwich for me) we had not eaten much of it when ds said he felt sick so we decide to head back to pop for a rest.
We got back to pop about 2pm and I manage to persuade both of the kids to have a nap! Nothing short of a miracle, DH goes out to the pool while I watch the kids.
We have an ADR at the Grand Floridian for 7pm so when the kids wake-up they are bathed and changed into (relatively) posh clothes
We catch the bus to the magic kingdom and I am amazed to see all the people in costumes as tonight is the 1st night of MNSSHP, I had brought Halloween costumes from the uk but decide I might get Disney ones now I have seen what everyone else has got on. We get on the monorail and it doesn’t break down this time so we arrive at the grand Floridian a little early for our ADR.
Again we get a pager (a system I like) and we go and sit in the lobby.
I amuse myself people watching and even the kids sit and behave
suddenly there is a commotion on the stairs and it’s a bride and her bridesmaids having her photo taken, they must have got some lovely pictures.
We are then called to our table. I have not been too 1900 Park Faire before but I was very impressed. The food was lovely especially the strawberry soup and even the children eat well.
We get pictures with prince charming, Cinderella, suzy, perla and belle before we leave and we catch up with the fairy godmother in the lobby.
(Total cost $99.58)
The Magic Kingdom looks great when we get back and I am pleased that I have booked us in for mnsshp on Sunday 2nd October.
Shopping at Premium Outlets and Downtown Disney tomorrow.
