I'll be stoned for saying this, but he is only 28. She is 35 and still concentrating on her career. Maybe that was a factor?

I don't know what the issues are in their marriage, but this seems harsh. I can't think of anyone who "deserves" a divorce.

I read the story and it said that she was heartbroken to find that he was sending 'personal texts to a 'close female friend' for over a year and sent over a hundred in one month alone.

Age, distance and lots of time apart could be a factor, who knows.

They just give up that is why, These people (celebs) are in a I want what I want at this moment mentality, I don't think it is harsh. They are self absorbed people, well at least most of them. IF they wanted their marriage to last then they could make it work, but they are too into themselves, this is why they almost always end in divorce.

Exactly. There is no willingness to compromise or work on issues. Instead, they just figure they will cut there loses and move on to the next one.

IMO, infidelity and abuse are two good reasons to get divorced - no counseling needed.

I agree. To me those are the most justifiable reasons. However, there are a lot of couples, and not just Hollywood ones, that throw in the towel when things get tough and they don't feel like putting in the effort anymore. It's sad. Seems like very few people remember their vows anymore.

NO but celebs are always cheating, that is my point, they just look to the next big thing. Also I believe that if they weren't so driven in thier career, they may not cheat as much.

I was talking to my mom one day and I stated the quote. Absence makes the heart grow fonder, She corrected me and said, the whole thing is absence makes the heart grow fonder, of someone else. These people are seperated all the time in the name of their career, so they will move on, anything and everything is available to them including people. It is in their personality, it is why they become celebs to begin with, it is a fascination with me, and there have been articles published on it, and their personalities. It isn't an accident that so many of them get divorced and have drug and alcohol problems. This is also why some of them don't want to marry in the biz, they want a "normal" person.

That's what I had read and heard, that both Diana & Charles were cheating on each other.

Eva has never been one of my favorites. I always had the impression that she was a bit too much in love with herself. But if cheating was involved on Tony's part, I certainly wouldn't wish that on her or anyone.

You will never convince me that "normal" people go through as many lovers and spouses as celebs do. Like I said, this is why some of them don't want to marry in the biz. You cannot sit there and say that they aren't more tempted than the rest of us. We don't have girls and guys throwing themselves at us because of what and who we are and what we have. These is no comparison, they put themselves in this position.

If you go out of town and check into a hotel room, no one cares who you are. Now say you are famous, you check in, suddenly the opposite sex is just dying to get into your room however possible. They party get drunk and before too long, oops. Sorry it goes with the territory of their jobs, and they can control it but choose not to. They don't place the same value on marriage as some of us do, and unless extreme circumstances, maybe Jesse Jackson, (nut case) it takes 2 to mess it up.
